The BBC TV series of Holmes with Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman was brilliant. Up there with Rathbone and Brett. I have been a fan of the ultimate detective since I was 10 and have read or watched or listened to everything I could get my hands on and only found one version to not be worth the time.

Taste aren’t a subject for argument between gentlemen. But he has clearly made a new side arise while still maintaining this nervous familiarity to his character ( work ethic. ) Brilliance

Both. A great narrator is needed for a great writer in audiobooks.

That's really frustrating! Ads can disrupt the flow, especially when they pop up so early. We will learn better placement of ads, perhaps during natural pauses or chapter breaks to enhance the listening experience. Hopefully, the stellar narration by Benedict Cumberbatch still keeps you hooked! 🕵♂✨

For anyone who truly wants to know God and have eternal life, all you have to do is seek him with all your heart and ask Jesus to please forgive your sins and to come into your heart. Jesus loves you so much and gave his life so we can be saved. We are all sinners and will be judged for our sins, and only the blood of Jesus Christ can take away your sins.
Please don’t give up the free gift of eternal life without seeking God with all your heart first, because Judgement and hell are very real. Anyone who seeks God with a genuine heart, will be led to Jesus Christ, and you will soon know how real he is. God bless. ❤🙏🕊

The only Sherlock Holmes were the actors Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke. They were brilliant. This latest is just awful! Rather ridiculous.

And then there are those who think that Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce were THE quintessential Holmes and Watson and found Brett's interpretation to be too unbelievable for Victorians since their lives were so closely scripted in every way.
Comes now Benedict Cumberbatch with dulcet tones to soothe the ragged sensibilities at day's end.

First, I loved Basil Rathbone ( except for the WWII films he had to make). Then I fell in love with Jeremy Brett. Now it’s Benedict. No one today is better as Sherlock. So glad he doesn’t read as fast as his speech Sherlock films though😳. lol
