Oh, I forgot to tell you this! Two weeks ago I went in for heart surgery (I’m fine, good for another 500,000 miles. Still bizarre to have at 53, still training recruits and slim but it is what it is). My nurses fell in LOVE with you! It was hilarious. My husband just rolled his eyes when one of them came in and asked if you were on yet! I could hear them listening to you at their stations!! What a hoot. You’ve got groupies now. 😂😂😂

Mothers are precious. I wish I had still my mother around. She died when my son was 1 year old, I was 26. She would be also a great help in many ways, she always been. Feel sorry for everybody who doesn´t know what good mother is...

I understand. I lost my mum when I was 29 prematurely. She lived a very healthy lifestyle, but was cruelly taken away. She only saw my daughter until the age of 4. She was the most caring, loving mum. I think about her and miss her every day and always will. Special mums are precious. My sympathies to you. Mr Ballen is also so lucky to have such a fantastic mum. 🏴❤️🌎🇺🇸
It doesn’t matter how old you were when you lose your mum, I was so lucky that I had my wonderful mum for 53 years and lost her two years ago this month. I do know that the pain is always there and reading how young some people are when they lost their mum breaks my heart. We are all very lucky to have had wonderful, loving and nurturing mum’s in our lives, I was just a bit luckier. Thank you for reminding me how blessed I am. Mr Ballen, I’m so happy to see you have such a great relationship with your mum xx 🇦🇺

When I listen to them I am immersed in the details and can create the scenes in my imagination which allows me to escape the day to day stress of life if only for a while. I'm glad to see that you can walk! I am always making up stories in the back of my mind and after I started listening to your podcast and learning that you were in special forces, I imagined that since you were so young that you have been disabled while in the service and started doing this due to your love of adventure and maybe kind of an adrenaline junkie. But, I am glad to see that you are fully functional. Another podcast to follow this one would maybe be what brought you from wearing cammo to wearing plaid.
