I firmly believe that each of us was put on this earth for the purpose of doing good to others. Each of us has a unique set of talents and skills that enable us to serve in different ways. The Lord directed me yesterday toward a new job, one that is not only a dream job but a job that will allow me to constantly serve. How thankful I am that the Lord will guide us if we allow Him!
This is such a comfort because life is always changing and often we find ourselves feeling as one door closes that another will not open but with the guidance of the Holy Ghost we can truly see Heavenly Father using us as his hands too lift and serve.
If you're struggling to find purpose, the solution is provided by the Apostles who tell us that "Jesus went about doing good" and "Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man". Having hit so many roadblocks on my own goals, I've decided to follow this life advice because, even if I miss out on things I might enjoy, the life I will live will please God, and He won't be able to find fault with an attempt to follow Jesus' example.
This is terrific. I was not expecting this to be so relevant to me. Have the courage to let go of empty nets in favor of a nobler, holier purpose. Grateful for this message.

I joined the church 16 years ago a lost 18yo alcoholic who was going no where. Now I have a wife of 11 years with 4 beautiful children! I’m sober, I surf daily, and god has provided us with enough to living in south OC right near Laguna Beach. God is good! There is only one thing we must do to find His guiding hand in our lives…SURRENDER!!🙌🏻
So many empty nets--idols--in my life. I am grateful that God can give me a simple message of what to do: stop living for what you want and more for what you can give.
I enjoyed this and related a lot. Baby steps seem to be a more steady route for me. My decisions are becoming "better" as my focus on the Savior becomes "better", and I don't allow the devil to tell me that "I'm never going to make it" anymore when I make a mistake! I GET UP, repent, give thanks for God's love, grace, and mercy, and I forge on with hope and strengh🤍🕊👍🏻🌻💪🏼💖

I live 3 blocks from a Latter-Day Saints Church which I assume is the mission base for the Republic of Panama. It's impressive to see how spirited, energetic, and full of purpose the young Elders move about despite the smoldering heat.
This is exactly what I needed. I can't explain just how much this video is so perfect for my many questions and thoughts right now. The only way that is is possible that it answers me, individually, so perfectly, is that it comes from God and was created with guidance from Him, through the spirit. Thank you.
I love that question the Lord asks all of us: "Lovest thou Me more than these?" It perfectly somes up the question of: what are the good, better, and best things in our life? What should be our priorities? I write this comment on a Sunday, and the quote from President Nelson comes to mind. He said "What we do on Sunday tells the Lord how we feel about Him." And I know that same idea can be extended to our actions throughout the rest of the week as well.
The question of why implies there is a desire to find an answer. Without it there is no expression of human love which is the one Jesus Christ our savior❤️

Love this! I also often find the Lord uses US as we are....with our interests, personalities, talents and difference to shine light our our unique purposes, and to reach out to others. He WANTS us to be ourselves! I find that thrilling! I get to create, laugh, express myself in ways that bring my joy and fulfillment, and He will slowly direct me to become a better instrument as I glorify Him.

We are all sons and daughters of a very loving God, who sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for us, so that we can become like him. I heard a scientist on TV answer a woman's question which was: What is our purpose in life? He said something like: "We don't have a purpose in life, because we evolved from kelp." I wish I was there. I would have told him that all the beautiful creatures, plant life, in all their complexities testify of a loving God. You'd be wrong to say that a swiss watch "just evolved into existence," fully assembled with all it's moving parts. Are we more complex, beautiful, and have a much greater purpose that a watch!? We can be heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ! God bless each of you to find your divine purpose and destiny.
I have a job where I have been serving for the past 7 months. It fills my heart. Although, I feel like the Lord has been trying to tell me something lately. Or I feel like I need to be doing lots more.

There's a misconception we should put our lives aside to be missionaries. That's not what we are being taught. Your learning through this life comes first but we also should share what we testify to be true. We are obedient to listen and understand the Spirit. We don't have goals that makes us loose focus on our objective- service and love.
