@@lefroste6370”surreal” isn’t really the right word to describe the original tone of this Limmy sketch, edit:[although it definitely IS surreal or bizarre.] It definitely does have an uncomfortable and morbid angle to the joke, especially in the context of the original show the sketch is from. Hard to explain, but Limmy somehow makes the classic “steel vs feathers” joke puzzle have a psychological horror element to it that is much in line with the other psychological horror that makes up a great deal of Limmy’s Show.
Lot of the sketches in his show feature some element of cognitive/mental decay and the fear that accompanies the recognition that something bad or wrong is happening to you, but you have lost the ability to understand what that is.
Alienation from reality, existential dread, cognitive dysfunction, emotional suffering; these are staples of Limmy’s show and why people like it so much
The whole sketch doesn’t even really make sense if you don’t watch it in the context of the episode because even this sketch is split up into three segments across the length of the whole episode

I like how the paper at 0:07 shows that a kilogram of steel would be heavier than a kilogram of Feathers assuming they are both spherical or something like that where the feathers would fit the same shape as the steel, just larger. Because on average the feathers would be slightly further from Earth making the gravitaional pull on them slightly smaller making them weigh ever so slightly less like 0.0001% less.
It does assume that you initially took both objects spread them equally thin when you weighed them, then gathered them into their respective shapes.

Alright so teeeeechnically if both were put on a scale the feathers would drop down because of their volume. There's a pretty interesting video on this too
