On what level did they think it was right to hurt a child, who worked just as hard as the other girls? Like any other global sport, gymnastics transcends pettiness and unites and as an art form, gymnastics is able to connect us spiritually with our core values of love, empathy and service to humanity. What this little colored gymnast went through, was a flash of hundreds of years of humiliation and by the time our little apprentice would have transformed into a gold medal winning gymnast, the young lady would have forgiven such petty people, in fact she would be feeling sorry for such people. As for the Irish teacher & the Gymnastics association, these people really don't care and they are really not sorry for the incident because they have only been counter reacting to a viral social media content. They would never ever have know or felt such humiliation, masked behind the child's innocence ! I hope one day, there will be a world, where there is no black or white, east or west, global south or north, where every man ( and woman) & his/her dog can live with dignity and pride.

And the presenter walked away with a SPARE medal in her hand !! So in my mind, MAYBE there was some company policy, that allowed this to happen - which they are now highly embarrassed about.
