These are the first goodeid I have bred. Pretty hardy little guys. I’ve kept them with a few different species, and would definitely caution against tankmates with long fins. They can also withstand temperatures into the mid 70s and be fine. A great first goodeid!
How recently? To my knowledge there are three separate fish the Eiseni (which I also have) as well the Doadroi, and also the Lyonnsi (which I have kept in the past). I could be wrong if they changed it recently. I have seen anything come across anywhere stating that
Interesting in learning more about Goodeids check out this care guide video: ruclips.net/video/mKfjPtty6PE/видео.html
Revisiting this video as I have a small group of X. doadroi coming my way. Hope to have a healthy sized colony over the next few months.
Thanks for watching. I have had good luck with them.
@@FishTankBarn You present a lot of useful information. Just watched your tour of LRB's fishroom last night...

Thanks Dylan, congrats on breeding them. Definitely a great first Goodeid
i recently got a doadroi breeding group, and i'm avoiding the eiseni and lyonsi for that same reason, to make sure they stay pure, good vid!
Thanks Greg! Congrats on your new breeding group! I have the original eiseni which I keep at the opposite end of the fish room.
This is one of my favorite species in my fish room. 👍👍👍
Hiya Skull. Please add me to the list of interested parties to buy some of these from you next Spring or whenever after that you are ready to ship!
Thanks one of mine as well
I've been trying to nail down the Goodeids I want to start with, this one looks like it fits the bill!
Thanks Rikostan! This is definitely are great fish to start with.
You aren't aware that they have been renamed? Xenotoca eiseni
