Thank you Andrew, every bit of video clips and info on these gorgeous and rare goodeids especially red tail split fin really helps 👍 I can’t wait til mine is as squared off and as rounded as yours🙏 P.S after having them more than a year,They’ve put on a love dance connection, truly unique and awesome!!! So wrapped!!🙀😻🙌🏻
christina kelly I had them for about 6 months before any even looked pregnant. They really are beautiful, and the colors have gotten better with maturity!
I've had mine for nearly three months now (got them as fry) and their colors are already showing. The older male I have is gorgeous, one of my favorite fish :)
christina kelly His fish are great! I got my tequila, Ataeniobius toweri, Ameca splendors, and Limia from him. All are thriving and have produced fry. I always recommend him!
I love them too. Depending on where you are located, they can be one of the easier species to find, as far as goodeids are concerned due to their prolific nature. Check back when the weather improves 😉
Best of luck! If you are in the US, Greg Sage of selectaquatics.com carries the species. Additionally, they can be found in local livebearer clubs and Aquabid. They really are incredible fish! Thanks for watching!
Hello. First time watcher here. I was wondering what that plant is on the left side of your tank there in the square glass bowl. it looks a lot like a weed in my yard here in Indianapolis. Nice vid on an uncommon species. thanks.
TheUltimate Life Depending on where you are, there are local clubs and swaps where you can find them. Otherwise, Greg Sage at selectaquatics.com is a great place to start! If you reach out to him, tell him I said hi! I can ship as well but will be holding off until it gets a little cooler. Best of luck and thanks for watching!
hello nice video I'm trying to grow some Dwarf sagetteria I was wondering if you have any tips you can give me I have osmocote root tabs in my substrate I have a sand and gravel substrate I don't have a dirted substrate though I have good lighting and stuff like that thanks
Frankie skates The plant will grow in gravel with root tabs but as a heavy root feeder, dirt or a rich planted substrate is needed. I posted a video about it right around new years, check it out. Struggled with the plant for a while until I stuck it in a dirted pot and it thrived. Never looked back! Thanks for watching and best of luck! Let me know how it goes!
They definitely have a reputation for it. It really has nothing to do with hunting, they can be very active with males constantly chasing eachother. It could be too much for smaller fish or those with dramatic finnage.
@@AndrewPiorkowski Are you still in the hobby? i am just getting these type of fish, but they are hard to come by. can you point me in the direction of a seller or supplier. thanks.

Do you have a care guide for these fish? Just picked up a few from a swap. Thanks
Hi, What temperature do you keep these fish at?
Ambient to my fish room, anywhere between 60°F & 72°F.
Hello. do the fish show aggression to other fish?
