Funny thing it happened to me the same thing recently but in Fallout 4, he got stuck around some trees because he got distracted by some Raiders that had nothing to do with the main quest forcing him to go off course.
I'm prop the only one that never experience glitches in all Bethesda games lmao and other games as well.
