Robert Preston their slowly coming back to form quietly they still have a young team 4th youngest in the league and only reason that you might say that is because the NFL CHANGED to pussy football cheering on these shiny gay football ball teams pretty boy Instagram Twitter fake movie star no balls all about brand Idiots they won't allow the raiders to be who they are casting the organization and our fans as misfits of the league...yup we belong to more of a team from planet mars then this coward like league that's the only reason the refs have it out for us in every GAME because they still have the past haunting of the way we use to be and it lingers on till this day...they won't allow us to play football.
Learned to play middle line-backer in high school (state champ team) and the coach come walking out the first day of two a days (AUGUST in Northern Virginia) and informs us that we would be playing RAIDER defense! EVERY ball that was thrown had a TOLL to be paid by those receivers! Usually by halfway through the third quarter of game the receivers spent more time looking for the coverage than the ball!

tom brady could not have played in any era other than right now. had he played any time when quarterbacks were actual players, he would never have lasted.
also, to me, the way qb's are protected now diminishes all of the passing records. when drew brees isn't allowed to be hit, how can he be compared to qb's like Johnny Unitas?
@@steveswangler6373 the game is so much faster and more complex now that Unitas and Namath and Stabler wouldn't even get drafted. Even someone like Fouts or Montana, the prototypes of the modern QB might not be able to keep up.

Silver and Black will be remembered forever and ever since I started watching the games and I always remember the first time I seen the team play ass kicking and I'm still a fan of the Raiders because they are my favorite NFL team and I always remember them from Oakland and Los Angeles and now they are in Las Vegas and I will continue this legacy of the raiders as a fan loves to cheer for the rest of the 2020 season

Raider Nation is strong as ever, it's just a shame the raiders are just a shell of the greatness they used to have. perhaps had marc davis spent more time on building a winner instead of trying to blackmail Oakland he could have built a winner.
I was a raider fan for 40 years. I hated the losing for the last 17 years, but never gave up on them until davis tried holding Oakland hostage and then abandoned the city that welcomed them back after his dad abandoned them. perhaps if al and marc spent more time building a team instead of extorting a private industry building they would still be great.
I will always love the real Raiders, but the team and its management has abandoned me.

I've been a Raider fan for 54 years. This video was awesome cause it showed the players of yesteryear in our glory days when we were actually feared. At the end of this video it says "The Raider Way", well unfortunately I have to disagree with that statement. Because of the rules changes, it's NOT that anymore. All around the league.

I'm a 35 year fan of the Raiders, how I miss those days. We need players like Sistrunk, Alzado, Long, Hester, Millen, Townsend. I could go on and on. We have a starting point with Mack, Sio Moore and TJ Carrie but still a ways off. Sign Suh in the off season to bring back some meanness on defense. On offense get rid McFragile and MJD and start running Latavius Murray. Draft the next Julio Jones or Dez Bryant in Amari Cooper. Our receivers are pathetic. I think Carr has a chance. If he had a running game and a top receiver he could put up 4,000 a year and 30 TD's. WE may be 0-10 as of this writing but I still believe there's light at the end of the tunnel. But the first order of business is to get rid of McKenzie and find a real coach.

To be honest, this makes Burfict look like kids stuff.
Scottie E hits the nail on the head. Those hits would be felony assaults these days. With no time off for good behavior!! The Raiders raised dirty football to an art form. Even to the point of hurting their own team. Players like George Atkinson and Jack Tatum couldn't cover a broken coffee table. They survived by deliberately hacking at the heads of helpless receivers, rather than by skill. I wish the tables would have been turned. That those two thugs were the receivers and Lynn Swann could blindside Atkinson after the whistle. That Darryl Stingley could cold cock Jack Tatum. That "The Assassin" would have been the one left disabled. That Tatum was disabled later on was poetic Karma. It takes neither toughness or skill to send a forearm across a man's Skull. Any Jackass could do that! This is why the Raiders of that period came to grief at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers. To the tune of Four Super Bowls to One. The true combination of talent and toughness in a team.
