Pokke village theme reminds me that life is worth living
1:22 bro when you roast meet off an edge it attaches wooden supports to the side of the cliff holy shit that detail
I didn't knew about this. And I have played this game like 10 times.
Impressive foresight on their side. Most likely that's part of the regular model but gets hidden into the ground when you cook like a normal person.
Monster hunter was always so freaking detailed, you can feel the love every dev put into the game. That's my reason why I fell in love with the mh series! That and fighting Huuuge freaking monster's ❤
I had like 800 hrs and never saw that once 🤯
I love the fact that almost 15 years later this game is still loved and played
Even frontier has a dedicated fanbase that still plays it
Its still the best Monster Hunter ever made.
still the best (only rivalized by Double XX cuz btw it just remaster and remake, refine and modernize grand part of MHGU xDDD)
Yeah nostalgia
feels more like stockholm syndrome because i sure don't fkin love playing this unbalanced mess
I think the PTSD and experience from old MH games is why I find Souls games relaxing, Souls games could never crush my spirit the way MH did.
😂
It just crush my patiencel/attention span
*Survive a planet-destroying level attack*
*Die to monster's casaul tail turning sweep*
The fact that i beat this game solo as a 10 year old without youtube and guides still baffles my mind
I highly doubt that...
If you played Freedom 1 and 2 before hand no problem
@@Armadan7 I played freedom 2 on my psp then bought unite,it took me months to finish it,def a struggle but i did it somehow and now my 23 year old ass is struggling in rise
*you mean finish low rank granny quest
Funnily enough, this game kinda wants you to play all quests, so you end up with a lot of resources to be able to beat it, it is super friendly compared to the older games
This game really is encapsulation of my teenage year. My brother little brother was given psp by my parents, but since i was the one using it a lot, they bought the 2nd psp just for us to be able to play together. And i never forget the years me and my brother play together. From wake up to sleep. At home or on a ferry to some island. While eating or even when one us in the toilet.
Really miss those time
Good old days 🥲
The feeling to have a brother to play is unique. I live that with my best friend really good old day
My best friend and I both got into the game super hard when we were 13-14. We played every single day, we literally carried our PSP's around everywhere just so we could play if we had free time. I started with MHF2, technically, but I bought us both MHFU when I seen it in Walmart.
Wish i was born back in those days, im just an emulator kid whose little brother is sadly more into Genshin Impact or into the modern games, maybe he just dosent like Monster Hunter portable 3rd ill let him try the other ones to see if he likes them :3
My little brother will probobly not like them but ig its better than not being able to play MHFU on your phone like a PSP, because it gets so boring sometimes in class and is probobly why i get low grades but i would secretly play MHFU in class
The one thing that i really love with MHFU is that scout balloon :( ... thats like a teaching moment with me and my cousins ... you wave on it and it pings the location of the monster ... now everytime a scoutfly breaks my neck i remember that little feature and ask why its isnt in the other games. not that its a necessity but rather a cool nostalgic feature.
4:16 I have played this game for more than 600 hours and never knew of this mining spot.
you're kidding right?
Me too.
4:16. Ive been playing this game for over 10 years and never knew you could pick axe that spot. My mind is blown. Wtf
No one notice that spot 😅
Do you know about the secret honey spot on a ledge on the side of a cliff on the same map?
This Freedom Unite doesn't care about your feelings, it'll just shove you the most unreasonable hitboxes on the planet (Im looking at you Narga Tail slam and Plesioth hipcheck)
I lost my saves with thousands of hours. Still remembered the brutal g rank fatalis solo battle.
Farming the white fatalis armor with hammer+bombs for days
I suddenly had a memory of a game on the PSP where I was fighting a land shark when I was like 8 and spent an hour trying to find it, and you just confirmed the existence of this game for me lol. I had no clue what the title of the game was
The bombardment of nostalgia from this singular video was amazing :^)
11:29
3:55 i love how you sort your inventory and then your item box before going on a quest...i still do that today in the newer games. Its just muscle memory :D But it kinda was more satisfying in the older games
I always short inventory, idk why its just yeah satisfying 😸
Sometimes I do it twice be I don’t know why.
This game... is very personal to me and still consider it to be the best in the series.
i think the same
It and Portable 3rd were LIFE for so long
Amen
I remember my top 3 comrade felynes before my file corrupted..
Dan, the warrior that gets back stronger, who puts shock trap
Aaron, the absolute bomber who can carry bomb 10x his size
Sarah, the great flute supporter who gives strength and protection
Those were great times. That was like 10+ years ago
This game still holds up, i'd rather play this than 90% of the crap released today.
I'm Playing through this currently On My Vita 😊
@Glory boy do you happen to know if this is still buyable on Vita?
@@A_Bottle-Of_Orange_Crush I'm realllyyy enjoying my vita this my favorite handheld of all time
@@A_Bottle-Of_Orange_CrushIt's not buyable on vita, it's a psp game. You can play it as if it was a vita game on a jailbroken/cracked vita though.
Hi, may i know how to download MHFU on pc?
AH I FOUND IT. this was the first mh game I ever played but I was very young thus I could barely remember it but here we are.
Spent so much of my childhood on that game 🤌🏾
Still my favourite MH... good old PSP days 👴
Good ol memory 👌
The most chill and well done of the MH series...
Ah yes, after scrolling for endless hours I finally have something decent to watch. Love the videos hope you keep making more
Thanks and for sure I'll make more videos 😉
So much nostalgia, that the only MH I've ever played (tho I'm so bad I stayed stuck at the Tigrex). Kinda wanna test World now
Huge wave of nostalgia from this, thank you!
I still have nightmares about Plesioth hitboxes sometimes.
it can't get out of my mind 💀
The game that introduced me to the MH series. The first gameplay i seen was of a kid on a school bus playing it. He was fighting Lao-shan lung and cleared it during our 15 minute bus ride home.
a great experience overall. I miss the farm and felyne kitchen so much!!
Thank you so much for this video full of nostalgia ! 😍
This game literally gave me the courage to pursue life when I was 10 years old...🙏🏾
Just hearing village music gives me indescribable joy 😭
Thanks for your content !
Brings back so much memory. My fist mh was freedom 2 and then unite but unfortunately I skipped tri and went to 4 instead and continued there on.
my dad randomly grabbed a stack of psp games from the store and this was one of them a little while later he headed back and bought 2 more copies so me him and my brother could hunt together
Man.. watching you going through the menus that fast right before the mission amazes me..
I remember going even faster in those lmao now I can think "how the hell did I navigate that fast in a PSP?!"
The first MH games I played were Freedom and Freedom unite when I was 10. Did not have the patience back then (I talking to you Plesioth). Took me a long time to be comfortable with the weapons, but did not finish and kind of forgot. Then came 3rd Portable, saw the Zinogre and I'm hooked ever since. Can't wait for Wilds.
i just found this channel and intantly love it, i was about to see the last video on 3rd and came looking to see if i could find that comment about the female and male characters LOL
I used to have the well-done steak timing memerized perfectly and when they changed it in World and I was burning the steak all the time 😅
Ah yes, another upload from Arrcy, that means my day is going to be good!
I love you 😻 Happy friday Wallman 😉
this is my first MH game played it on the psp and I like the concept of killing monsters and crafting weapons and armours based on their skin xD been a fan of it since then I hate the delivery missions tho fck those
when you have a bad day, remember you have pokke village theme and also arrcy’s vids
Oh my god the guild hall theme. The nostalgia wave that hit me is off the charts.
god that into music , i remember launching it on my psp and gettings the chills each time
I really love the OST of Monstr Hunter Freedom unite and the song when cooking meat. I miss playing this game
Old MH hitbox are insane 😂
1:41
that's actually interesting. if you deploy the spit midair, it'll make wooden supports below it. it's pretty amazing considering the age of this game
8:58 I saw that coming from miles away
Esa intro de tu vídeo es epica.
I found my psp years after and am currently replaying the game. I remembered why I dropped it as a kid 😭 but it's just so good and addicting like wtf
Ahh the memories . This was my first MH. I had this on psp and when I got vita I played it on that as well. So many hours.
A memorable experience, and a nightmare for me, and Freedom unite was also the first Monster Hunter game I played.😂
Remember that soothstone quest where we had to deliver those suckers whilst avoiding 10000 bullfangoes along the way? Yes those are some of the hours of my life I'm not getting back.
Its the subtle details man. Love this game
this video made me remember memories that I forgot even existed
This game taught me to not just smash buttons and use some of my brain instead when I was a kid and man I tell you I didn't use my brain playing this it just taught me.
I can still recall some of the conversations word for word when me and my classmates were playing P2G (FU) on the bus going to field trips. Because that’s the only time our teachers would allow us to bring PSP to the school. We were mostly helping friends that are stuck in some particular difficult quests. And if we get tired we would just go for a Lao-Shan Lung hunt because it’s more simple and repetitive so we can chill and chat.
Thats good old memory
I will never forget downloading this from PSN and learning how to play this beautiful, complex gem. Khezu was my first difficulty wall, until I realized that MHFU wasn’t a combo hack and slash game lol.
This gamr is an unrivaled masterpiece. It aged beautifully
Ahh that one quest where a Tigrex comes out of nowhere and you either run for your life or get yourself killed
This is one of those games that just calls to you every now and then.
I need that spinning seal playing the mh ost its perfect
the nostalgia really hits hard
1:23 oh whattttt I didn't know the pit will get two support sticks under it when you put it off a cliff lol
yoo the details
So much charm and character, perhaps the most immersive game I ever had the pleasure of discovering and it was all contained in the little but mighty PSP. MHW has been a wonderful experience and I’m back for a third play through this year, but in my heart MHFU is my first and truest Monster Hunter experience
Bro I swear I watched your video while playing a game and at 0:58 I thought the discord ping was mine. I went through every server to check if they are muted and all were, so I replayed and then did the same thing again. The third time I actually almost went insane and then realized it was the video xD
I gothcu homie 😅
Man I remember yian garuga being my grudge monster, and it still is. It took me to get high rank armor before killing its low rank version for some reason
My heart for this game is bigger than the plesioth hitbox
One of my favorite games of all time. The goat of the PSP.
Only the real OGs will remember kotko village
Fken using the right fken joystick for fken attacks
MHFU people talking about pain in this youtube section... i played the first monster hunter when i was 10 and my parents gifted it to me - back then it was english only - and me NOT KNOWING A SINGLE GODDAMN WORD ENGLISH lmao
Took me goddamn hours to find out what "piscine livers" are
@@mrmonokel2335😂😂
This made me emotional. I know the game had problems, but at the same time, back then, I didn't perceive them as problems, and to this day, it's still my most played monster hunter game.
And to this day it is still the gold 👍
I'm ancient, and have played this game on multiple psp's. The other day at work I doodled "rathalos" on a note pad, I came back three days later and somebody had written congalala under my doodle, so I know I'm not the only one still playing... All hail freedom unite 😊
never once could i finish low rank in this game. And its been 15 years
The (implied) story the music, the poke farm the feeling of actually hunting a monster man it was so much better than we have today.
Its so nostalgic 😭
I would buy a remaster of this
There was a moment when i was playin g this game and i needed some machalite ore to craft some gear so i went into the snowy mountains to find some. I walked up and around the mountains mining whatever nodes i could find. I fought some velocoprey because they were in the way and would inturupt me if I was mining. I was on that mountain so long that i had to kill and butcher a popo so i can make some well done stakes. When i finnaly felt i had enough ore i opened the menu to return home and when i finnaly opened the menu i had remember i was only playing a game. Next thing i knew i was in pokke village and with the theme playing i knew this game was special to me able to make me feel like i was in a different universe.
I remembered buying a psp then the first thing in the morning (it was summer) i turned on mhf2 and listen to it ost in the morning (6am) good times.
Plesioth the destroyer of realms, good ole days.
The cooking still hits
Ahhhhh what a old times..........
This game is top tier hunter material. This game will forever be the ultimate test for new hunters
Best Intro!! ❤😂
dear fellas im playing mh since the first one for ps2
im a real OG
Masterful
Yea sure the games controles and mechanics might feel a bit dated, but honestly...its perfect that way! Monster hunter is one of those game franchises that I can see myself playing well into my 80s (so long as they keep making them). This franchise is truly amazing, and I'm proud to be a hunter.
You can reqlly feel When the freedom united
4:20
What?!
THAT WAS A NODE?!?
Just back playing FU again after Beating P3rd.
I forgot monster bite in FU could send you flying dramatically. Instead of just a flinch/fall.
And it also applies to Tigrex's tail when it jump at you.
And The QoL changes in P3rd.. Fourth quest item slot is such a blessing, and the combining recipes where you could just go to combine list, instead of manually combine in inventory? Man..
I'd take fighting against DevilJho using lance instead of Plesioth, I swear to god lol.
What made Old School Monster Hunter So Beautiful was that you had to hunt the Monsters from village low rank to higher ranks... They where actual monsters to be scared of... You are alone and everything is out to kill you. Compared to Rise where the low rank monsters are at your level and its more of a "monster fight" than "hunt".... But then again once in late low rank - Early High Rank its back to *OUR* Beloved Suffering
We love to suffer, if the series won't make us suffering, then it won't be good 🥵
@@ararira I love MHFU it taught me the 5 stages of grief... denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
My first MH ive never forget how happy im when i defeat tigrex and rajang
ive yet to try it but i just know i'm gonna hate and love it
Total Blangonga death. I still get hit by those icicles that come off the ice ball when it hits the ground : (
Never got to G rank, because the monsters had too much health for my teenage brain to beat them in 50 minutes...
Well that and Akantor scared the shit out of me, so I didn't try to beat him, although he was the penultimate quest to unlocking G rank :C
I also never attempted the two Rajangs from the village cat, since I thought they would be too hard. I wanted to wait until I got better gear from G rank, but it never came to that. I look back with a sad smile on the time I spent on this gem of a game, because I never finished it, but I'm proud of how far I got all on my own, because I had noone to play it with.
best nostalgia
Here King you dropped 👑
I'll put it on you 🫶
Still waiting for bone javelin to come back to the weapon list.....
That and Vile serpent blade were the first 2 weapons with green sharpness for me & introduced the brain to an unbridled serotonin flow from the extra hitlag.
Fuck we're old.....
I'm sure glad to be a 3rd gen hunter because this would of drove me wild sometimes, good thing I'm going to play it anyway and interestingly FU was the first game that introduced me to MH in the first place. =3
nice video
All of my traumas are coming back
I can still feel plesioth's hipcheck
YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS THE BEST ONE
Remembering? I'm still playing that.
PPSSPP doesn't die like the physical PSP eventually does.
Those were the good old days
Fatalis sounds so glorious back then
