@@irishdrunkass I feel like palworld will definitely win a bunch of awards, but as much as it got with sales, I feel like it didn't actually drum up much acclaim for its gameplay or anything besides it being "pokemon meets ark with guns", which I think will give Helldivers 2 an edge at winning the actual 'game of the year' award.
I agree 100% I don't think it can even when something like GotY, because it's Early Access...I mean the game is cool, I went from making fun of all the people playing it, to playing it with my son and loving it.
But Helldivers is something special, that doesn't come along very often. I think given the EXPLOSION of popularity, it has it in the bag, hands down@@Noobuh

I like your advice, "use guns you like most instead of what other people think is best". The other day I saw a dude wrecking hulks on impossible with an anti-material rifle. That was an eye-opener.
People think AMR is trash but it's extremely good against the bots and can target weakpoints very easily.
Pretty much kills any bots other than tanks with 2 hits.
The chicken walker? 2 hits to the legs goes down. Hulks? 2 hits to the eye and dead.
It's not the Stratagems that protect Super Earth; It's the Helldiver using them

He is saying that because he has no clue where they would be situationally relevant. Its like when a Tarkov player hoards more consumables than guns because they expect to be on the receiving end. If its only about avoiding a loss then its not truly winning only marginally acceptable. The Top players are those murderhobos who look for new ways to be defeated, rather than boast about a boring success. "What is worse, Solo Players or the Cheaters they become." that is the morale of the story to Helldivers 2 something even the developers have yet to learn.

fyi, kill the small bots that have only one blade and a pistol to stop bot drops, they're the only ones that shoot flares

@@RamenStyleIn the video (16:08) you can see a rocket bot calling flares - I wish it were only those bots but it appears any bot can. Maybe shoot a single bot, pause, wait for one to call, and then shoot that one?

That's a common misunderstanding.
All small bots/bug can call for backup.
Need to verify but probably difficulty increases what can call reinforcement.
The commissar bot is the most likely to call in a drop but any of the terminator style bots can call it in. Though it is always good to kill the commissar bot first

I'm surprised you weren't wearing the scout armour. It's really useful for these kinds of situations. I did a civilian extract mission wearing it while the rest of my team distracted the bots a ways away
Great video! Thanks a lot for that! Especially for showing off the stealth playstyle for which there are currently barely any videos. Which also involves some things that apply in group play. For example to only fight what you really have to and that you can leave bot drops/bug breaches alone.
Though i feel kind of sad for these impact nades that have been hanging on your belt the whole time ^^. In some engagement that could've helped with reserving railgun ammo and or stratagem usage. They make easy work of the AT-ST (walkers) as well as some of the devastators. For bots maybe another good utility would be smoke (i.e. as grenades). That can allow you to quickly and safely disengage from a fight. As enemies aren't able to see you, move into the smoke and keep looking there for you. Bots will keep shooting (into the smoke) in the general direction they last saw you. So you could reset the fight and do a flank ^^.

Great video, and amazing job clearing that solo! I haven't even beaten a full difficulty 5 operation yet, so this is crazy impressive to me.
One thing I noticed for missions with randomized strategems that I didn't see you do though: Since the strategems are random anyway, instead of typing in the one you want you can just type in the shortest one you have and keep trying until you get what you want. Like at 26:57 when you're typing the 6-input Sentry over and over, but the 4-input Eagle and EMS strikes are available the whole time. Maybe not a big difference overall, but to me if feels huge in the moment.
Or you know he could just drop down that railgun he keept getting so it isn't in the pool of available stratagems anymore, increasing the chances of the correct stratagem showing up? :)

that's a misconception. the gms can influence the board (as they have now with adding free napalm strikes for everyone), but nobody is literally looking at your game speciifically

RamenStyle, your videos are amazing man and I love that you are covering other games as well. As someone who played the first game a bit, seeing this game blow up so much as it did is unreal. I feel like the game now is offering something for almost all types of people and its no coincidence that people who enjoy Tarkov enjoy this game as well. Looking forward to what the future of this game will bring!!
I recommend the autocannon for stealth type missions like this, you are avoiding all the heavy aroured units by avoiding the drops, and being able to sneak up behind any that naturally spawn means you can still take them out with it.
It also has the benefit of reloading faster, having more ammo, and having an AOE explosion that can take out multiple small bots with one shot helping reduce the chances of a bot drop.
It also has the added benefit of explosions drawing enemy attention. That means if you get surrounded or see a patrol in the way you can shoot the cannon at a distant hill and the bots will go investigate where you shot, rather than where you shot from
I would have gone crazy into Helldivers 2 if I were still in school and had the friends to coop.

Tips: You have nade, using engineers perk to have 2 more nade for a total of 6, using impact grenade. If they call a dropship you can delete almost everything with 3 to 4 nade inside.. if it's a tank using stratagem, hulk pew pew laser.
Also what you did have trouble with is walker, impact nade will kill them and a well place impact can kill the whole group of walker.
Those 4 Grenades in your inventory do be feeling really lonely :P

Quick tip that's especially useful solo, you don't need to call the extraction shuttle. After your destroyer departs (clock hits 0), the extraction sequence begins automatically. This also means you don't need to stay in range of the extraction point to keep the clock running, and because enemy patrols get pathed directly to the point once it gets called, you can just chill out a ways away until the pelican comes down without having to engage in a massive firefight. This gives you way more time if you want to full-clear a mission. Note that you do not get stratagems during this time, including reinforcements, so don't screw it up if you go for this.
Yeah, not being able to call anything down, including reinforcements, is a pretty big loss lol. I wouldn't necessarily call this a tip.

I see what you mean about the tension. At first I was like, he's go this, but as the mission went on and the spare lives dwindled I could feel myself getting anxious. What a truly engrossing experience they've created with this game. You really do feel the weight of each mission and the frustration of each defeat.
This content helped convince me to get the game along with many of my Tarkov friends. Here’s hoping this PSN requirement doesn’t lock you out of this game because you’re in the Philippines, you looked like you had a ton of fun doing content for it

my greatest achievement so far that had my heart racing was a full all ghilied up stealth run no flares no alerts not a signal shot fire pure stealth in and out entirely undetected full helldiver operation cleared like that. I love stealth in this game.

I think the reason helldivers and tarkov give us that crazy rush is due to the amount of things we simultaneously have to pay attention to, try to evade bugs while playing friday nigh funkin on your wrist is difficult and builds tension.
Tip: Use your grenades against the scout striders, especially when bunched up. Also, make sure to use your grenades in general.
Its a really cool touch that despite being a mostly focused action game, it does have genuine stealth mechanics. If enemies knew your location all the time the game would become lame fast.

A little tip when dealing with scrambled strats. If you don't get the one you want, and you can afford to waste it, just toss it so when you re-code you cannot get that strat option since it is now on CD. During evacuation you could have just thrown that barrage and railgun off so you could get your autocannon easier.
Impact grenades will blow the man off the scout walker, and 2 impact grenades to the back of the tank or turret will destroy it. Great for a tight spot.
one thing i've noticed, stop diving because you get a stagger when you dive and thats when they shoot you

FYI some types of armour make enemies less likely to spot you. That is especially useful when you fight some mobs, since you will have a larger area to operate and not pull any extra patrols.

Now I really wish there is a Silenced R-63 Diligence. Like, even if it's not completely silent, just being able to delay the bot calling reinforcements would be pretty cool.
I would guess since the release of this video, you guys realise that the actual most efficient build in THIS case is: light armor, backpack shield, railgun, scorcher, smoke, health bonus..... and PING enemies to help your teammate to help you.
5:00 impact grenades 1 hit striders, and you can kill multiple at once if they are clustered like this.

When you try to call sentry gun, and it happens that you get Railgun, why dont drop out Railgun and call for it, so its get out from a list and you get bigger chance, that next time you will get thing you need.

Whenever I play helldives solo I always go after turrets and jammers, jetpack really reigns supreme when it comes to taking out bases, too far? jump throw, need to kill a tank? flank it with the jump pack, wall? jump!
Playing solo on Helldivers difficulty is actually way easier than playing in a group. But it's way more fun with the chaos in my opinion.
I think that when you get the scrambled stratagem modifier the best thing to do is always call the shortest/easyesy gem and hope to get lucky

It's all I've played for 4 days straight.
That's the main thing people don't do in this game. They just go shoot and aggro everything that moves. Particularly those "Guard-Dog" backpack...
Stealth is key. 3:15 Jammer was just there.... 12 o'clock.
Kinda crazy that this game actually have a stealth systems, you can actually shoot enemy’s head and not trigger the others.

I love seeing someone else use the Diligence. So many people swear by the Breaker and while I agree it's nice for bugs (I still prefer the Breaker Incendiary for bugs) I think the Diligence is much, much better for the bots as it allows you to land long-range shots on bots with ease and even one-shot them.
Dunno if you mentioned this in the video. Most guns can change settings like scope magnification, fire rate or other neat settings.
For the railgun there is an "unsafe" fire mode which is damn effective and hilarious because it allows you to charge the gun for increased damage but hold the trigger to long and the gun goes boom xD
Also for solo dives: Take the "stealth" armor and preferably a light armor which allows you to run faster and of course using less stamina. Currently armor value is essentially just a "deco"...the devs admitted as much.

That's weird, it's supposed to only be the commissar automaton unit that calls in bot drops but I looked at it several times and that's definitely not a commissar that fired the flare in that first fight.

every time is see others play this game im dumbfounded, difficulty levels are so meaningless.
on an average lvl6 mission a single reinforcement call at 15 minutes calls 2 dropships which drop 2 tanks, 2 hulks and calls the next dropship in 5 sec unless you get a perfect wipe
a level 9 dropship on a youtuber's video is smaller than a 40 min patrol on a lvl4 game
Only criticism I have is that when you resupply, make sure to use your grenades up. You receive 2 of them per resupply.
Haha I'm not sure how much of a crossover there is between Tarky and Helldivers in terms of gameplay styles but I like the whole approaching a base like it's Metal Gear or the Water Treatment. ...Makes me wish it was sort of more of a stealth game.

Those bots on the walkers look like a reference to Star Wars at st walkers
Don’t forget you can melee, to both stun and kill enemies. You can even stun lock certain enemy units that are light enough. Wouldn’t suggest trying to box a hulk tho.
Crawling does also decrease detection quite a bit, to the point of almost metal gear solid levels. Almost.

Damn playing sole on the hardest difficulty is rough! But doing it whilst on space Vietnam that another challenge entirely.
i feel like armor rating was made to fight automatons, i wish heavy armor would work, i have a feeling that heavy + explosion resistance would work wonders on these guys.
i found you dont need to dive behind the walkers to get a rear shot, more consistent to sprint close and get behind them. There horizontal tracking is quite slow getting close will also help you in making them need to turn more to target.

After playing this exact biome/mission dozens of times I found it hilarious how he makes everything so dramatic. Waiting 30 seconds for a terminal to load while laying the ground....better tell a story and add in the spooky music lmao. I guess he has good acting skills though. Creating hype around the repetitive missions 😂 as if it's some impossible task.
