Does the city of San Mateo offer reduced rates or other programs to get into homeownership as a public school teacher at any of San Mateo schools? If yes, whom should I contact for more information?
That is a very good question. Unfortunately I do not believe so at the moment (I could be wrong). I know that Kaiser, UCSF and Stanford have loan programs for their employees but not aware of anything in the school space, sadly. Many years ago there was a down payment assistance program that offered out low tens of thousands from the state but that dried up and was a one time thing. Thank you for your commitment to teaching our children!
Great reminder of what a special place San Mateo County is! I have ridden at Skegg’s Point, well, ridden down and ridden and walked up-very tough 😊
Yes Skeggs is a challenge! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Such valuable information!!! Thanks for sharing
The waters of the almighty Pacific Ocean in Northern CA are simply too cold to swim any time of year.
You’re totally right. LA is much better 😀
Loved hearing about all the outdoor options! Great video!
Awesome! Thank you!

Oh, also worth mentioning you can check out BMR housing (below market rate) but that’s usually for reduced rentals, and not resale.
