      Yes I am sorry I did laugh when you are cleaning the bugs up! This is why I just spray my front porch down with the hose, although that does take a bit longer to do.I have a hard time just doing a portion of the porch each day. Sometimes things are all or nothing for me. I am trying to get over that though.

    To get rid of the spiders, put some peppermint essential oil on a slightly damp cloth and wipe down all areas that attract the pesky bugs, especial the frames on the storm door and every nook and cranny where they like to hide (for that, I use a peppermint oil spray).

    Hi Denise, I use a yellow light bulb in my front porch light in the summer. It keeps the June Bugs, Japanese Beetles and such away from my door. If I keep a white light bulb in my light fixture, the bugs are endless in the summer, as I am in South Carolina. Love your planner. Great idea to keep you on track. Thanks for your vlog.

And the reason that I watch your live show was because you did not look to see who was watching and welcome each person individually and all that stuff. So the type of live video that you did is wonderful. Do you have do you have a list of your Zone cleanings and what you do in each Zone? The only thing I do with the spiders is kill them when I see them, preferably stepping on them. But if it's one of those long-legged things outside on my porch and it's climbing up the wall or something I get the long-distance wasp spray out and drown them. I always have spiderwebs. I know I have some right now but it's so hot outside I don't want to mess with it. I really do enjoy your Channel. Keep up the good work.

    One suggestion for bi-annual cleaning is to find a softwash company near you. They chemical wash the whole house and it'll get rid of any green and outside dirt. Your concrete porch will look brand new. It's amazing what they do. If you have trees over your roof or black marks on the roof it will save your roof. Most people dont realize it's not just marks, its actually algae eating your roof. Buys your roof several years.

    I just saw your Q&A with Nikki and fell in love with your channel and subscribed immediately!
    We have spiders here in Kentucky and I am petrified of seeing one. I’ve been bitten by the brown recluse while cleaning Fall leaves off our front porch. It’s one of our dangerous spiders. Our church custodian recommended something called Telstar. It’s a white milky liquid you mix with water and put in a sprayer. I spray all around the base of our home on the outside, the perimeter of our porches
    and I spray all around the inside perimeter of our garage. It works!!!!

      Hi Kelly, yes. That’s the thing…the Zone cleaning tasks for 15 minutes helps you develop the habit or routine of doing a little something each day. Sometimes, like on the corner of the porch, I took a little longer just to get it done and added in a couple of other things but I was exhausted when I was done. I think that is what happened they are attracted to the lights and they get trapped so they can’t get out Maybe Charlotte’s Web is live in on your porch LOL thank you for sharing your video

      I’m glad you liked it. I felt silly at first…squealing like a six year old, but then I thought I might as well show it because ai was totally real. Hahaha! I supposed there could be worse things then Charlotte’s Web. Hahaha!

    Do you have 15 minutes to clean the zone for that particular day?

      You’re the second or third person to mention peppermint oil. I’ll have to look into that. Thank you.

    It doesn't matter how often I clean my front door, once my grandkids come over there are smudges all over.

    • @homemakingwithdenise
      @homemakingwithdenise  3 года назад

      Oh yes, kiddie prints. The good thing is you have them to clean up. I love when my grandkids come. It takes a minute to clean them up but the fun of getting them there. Hahaha! Flylady Kat always talks about kiddie prints and puppy nose prints on the windows. How did you like the way I showed the different tasks on the different days?

      @@homemakingwithdenise I like the way you tackled a job bit by bit. But those spider webs 🕷️🕸️🕸️🕸️😬🥺😲 I would turn that entire job to my husband. Maybe just hose down the whole porch. I also need my planner. If I don't write it down I don't remember to do it.

    lots of spiders means there are a lot of bugs to eat. So...I'd rather have the spiders. Get some chickens in the front yard to eat the bugs the spiders won't have food...etc.. etc...

    • @homemakingwithdenise
      @homemakingwithdenise  3 года назад

      Um chickens? No. I wouldn’t want to deal with them plus they are not allowed in our neighborhood. I do like the birds though. They help deal with bugs in the back but not the front,

      @@homemakingwithdenise good point, I am in the country so... chickens are a thing :) Well spraying may help if you aren't against that. Best of luck.

    Maybe screening your porch will help with the yucky creatures.

    Girl you are working to hard. Go to home depot and buy...Home Guard spray it keeps everything away from the porch and is safe for pets after it dry. Is for exterior and interior. God Bless 🌹😷😷😷

    Love your videos. I enjoyed watching you fill out your planner. I don't use mine because I "have to decirate". I need to just use it. Please show us more of the practical uses of your planner.
