The recording is taken from the website of Mr. Blechacz' American management group, and it is not specified when or where this particular performance took place. But this piece was part of Mr. Blechacz' recital program during the 2011 season.
Since Mr. Blechacz didn't play all 4 pieces of the opus here and the audience clapped after he had played just one, this was probably an encore after one of his concerto performances.

And I couldn't agree more, Mazurkas are very different from other kinds of piano compositions, and even though Chopin is my favorite composer, I didn't used to like Mazurkas until I heard Mr. Blechacz' version. The pieces really come alive when he plays them, and you can't help but love them💖.
