Just FYI, I am aware that it's Taylor and not Tyler. At the time of recording this video, I was reading the text that was sent to me. It might have been a typo. Apologies for the mistake.
All the performers came out for a bow at the end. Dave had Shane right next to him. I think Shane has a lot of band uncles who will look out for him and his siblings. When he bent over and kissed his dad’s drum kit before the solo, it made my eyes leak. What a performance!
He used to play on a tiny drum set behind his dad on tour when he was younger. And his dad even said his son is practicing to take over for him in ten years time. Gives me chills honestly about how life works out
Nothing MORE HONORABLE or emotionally healing for all of them then Shane commanding & owning that drum set!! Well done on a Legendary performance!! God bless you!! 🙏😇🤙
Brings tears to my eyes every time I see it. What a marvelous young man, great drummer too just like his dad! I of course don’t know him but I feel so proud of him💕💕. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow- great reaction- I absolutely love the way that Dave, and Pat, kept checking in on Shane to make sure he was ok... when I watched this the first time, I had goosebumps the entire way through, what an incredible young man with amazing role models to guide him through life!!! New sub here!!! ❤
I have watched this video 20 times or so & tear up every time! It looks like he kisses the drum @5:14 😢 Shane really needed that release & he did an incredible job!!!
I didn't notice that at first! Thanks for pointing it out. @Stebbi I loved that part, too. To me though it felt more like they were just proud of him and loved seeing him up there. Kind of like they saw some of his dad in him at the moment.
@@KurtisB I meant checking on him to make sure he's good emotionally. Needs to be the next permanent drummer for the Foo Fighters once he's done with schooling
Omgosh...best reaction vid ever to this one that I've seen. You're awesome!! And like Dee Snider said, "Holy S***. Chills. Just chills. Beautiful." And later, "I can't stop watching it". Well....agreed and neither can I. It was one of those special moments that will go down in rock history.
Seriously.... 16 years old, at his father's tribute concert, in front of nearly 90,000 at iconic Wembley stadium(plus however many more live streaming it), playing the drums like his father, with his father's band, on his father's kit, and playing the song "My Hero"..... As if finding the strength to play with all that circumstance wasn't difficult enough, Shane didn't simply "play" that night. He gave that stadium and the world a mesmerizing, heart wrenching, emotion packed performance that will absolutely go down as a historic moment in rock n roll.
He hits like Dave! Technic his dad! Amazing love this kid! God bless him with a great career and keeping real drummers going! We need musicians! Not technical crap! 😊
This concert was 100% emotion. Wolfgang Van Halen honoring his dad because Taylor was such a huge fan of Van Halen. Rufus Taylor, who was Taylor’s godson, playing Queen (with his dad Roger) and Foo songs. Taylor was a nice guy. And, Dave was doubly grieving because unbeknownst to anyone in the crowd, his mother had died just a couple weeks earlier after a long illness. This gives me chills every time.
RIP TAYLOR HAWKINS 🌹🌹 70,000 fans at Wembley Stadium Playing on your fathers kit , honoring his legacy, handling his emotions of losing his father and hitting the drums with everything he has. SUPER EMOTIONS, and if you notice, before he does his drum solo at the end, he kisses the snare drum…. What a talent, what strength, I watched all 6 hours of this concert and I balled the entire time, I’m glad you did this man 👍🏻
Although they were living under a cloud of sorrow, that could not stop that magical and historical moment of healing. Cloud or no cloud, Daddy saw right through it to witness his boy shine. This performance NEVER gets old to me. Thanks for the reaction and take care.
I am amazed at how good he is! Every time I see this I cry. And me being a fan of the band, I felt as if it were Taylor playing. Shane learned so much from his dad, and from Dave, that I know he'll be successful by his own merits but always thinking of his dad.
He is playing his dads' touring drum kit on top of it....amazing performance, you should check out Wolfgang Van Halen slaying Hot For Teacher from the same show
My husband died suddenly at 45, and we have 5 kids, one Shane's age. The kids and I watched this and couldn't help but feel it to the core. Two of my sons suddenly had "allergies" aka tears they didn't want to show. They live when he's going through, and it is life shattering. While the rest of the world will move on, this family will continuously fight to survive it. Sending them strength vibes and prayers. That level of grief is a long neverending road.

Same ..⭐️✅
Exact time I lost it too. Him kissing his dad's drum set just made the emotions come right to the surface.
I’m a grown ass man crying over this !!! Proud of him
This is why I said finally you are the first reaction person to understand that connection with the looking back...
Shane won a DRUMEO award for best drum performance of 2022 ! Way to go kiddo!! He’s got at awesome road ahead
He hit those drums with every ounce of his soul. He did great, and I'm sure his dad was watching and was so proud of him
He used to play on a tiny drum set behind his dad on tour when he was younger. And his dad even said his son is practicing to take over for him in ten years time. Gives me chills honestly about how life works out
Shane went out there in front of 90,000 people and killed it! What a performance 💜 bravo Shane!
This was legitimately one of the greatest moments in rock n roll history and live concert history. We'll be seeing this clip live on forever.
Nothing MORE HONORABLE or emotionally healing for all of them then Shane commanding & owning that drum set!! Well done on a Legendary performance!! God bless you!! 🙏😇🤙
Shane is his Fathers son. Full of life and energy. Thank you Shane for helping us celebrate your Fathers life; you were wonderful. ❤️🥹😔

Yup. Noticed that too. Really cool how the members keep looking back at him like they're checking up on him making sure he's still doing good

@@vegasviking86 Definitely. He is GOOD!
This one got me. So much energy and emotion on display.
´Let him have his moment to shine...´ Beautiful emotional reaction.
Lots of respect for Shane, Dave and the other FF's. Greetings from Belgium!
Shane’s as talented as his dad. Truly an amazing moment in rock n roll history RIP Taylor . God bless Shane & the Hawkins clan

Flawless! Brought his mother to tears!!
Brilliant, Shane!!!
My tears of awe and sentament are filling my eyes as I watch and listen. 😃
God bless you Shane! You were brilliant… your dad is so proud. No doubt he heard the thunder of your playing. And I’m so so sorry for your loss!

He looks at him the whole time he already knows what he can do because he's a product of his father
It was so emotional, and awesome, the energy omg brilliant, so proud of Shane
Loved this mate , he did his Dad proud
Shane owns this song now. It belongs to him.

Played with the rage of a 16yr old who lost his father. 🙏🦅

I'm loving the positive comments, guys! Thank you. 🙌🏼
It’s very moving, I can’t help tearing up.😢😅
Super Good ! Very enjoyable !🙂
This tribute concert lasted almost 6 hours and it was awesome. Definitely felt like a celebration of Taylor but at times overwhelming emotion.
I also love that Nandi Bushell also got to play with them again.
It was the most wholesome, badasss, heartbreaking, beautiful thing I’ve seen in decades. Go head, Shane!😊
If he is not the follower of his father in the Foo's , I'm on the wrong Planet! Love this boys Energy, by all of his struggles in this times.

Finally!!!
Did you see his mother clasping her neck in just awe? She's the blonde at the left back stage
I absolutely ♥️ your commentary! Especially, when you had none because I also could not believe what I was seeing and was speechless!

Thanks for the suggestion! Also, awesome profile picture. 🤘🏼 I got it tattooed on me. 🤣

Yup, the kids are definitely taking it into the next generation. Did you see Nandi ❤❤❤she’s such a tiny adorable badass!
The kid is HARDCORE...and has the Balls too step it up. !!!!
I cried the day I found out Taylor died. I loved this performance. I cried all over again. I’ve been a foo Fighters fan from the beginning.
Ohhhh shittt let's go , thank you Kurtis🤟🏼🤟🏼 appreciate you

This will never not make me cry
It’s a lot even after seeing it several times.
Taylor would be proud, There goes our hero.
They need to let him take his Dad's spot no one would ever come close and who better than his own son
That’s his dad’s tour kit he’s playing.
Taylor was defiantly there with Shane @!!!
When he kisses the drums it’s over for me
That's his dad's drums 🥁
It was a tribute to Taylor not other artists who passed…the guest performers were all Taylor’s idols who wanted to play the show in his honour…
Nine months ago? Shane is wonderful. I am totally blown away. Drummers do it better.
Apparently not a Foo Fighters fan!! 😮
that is Taylors kit he's playing on
💗 His name is Taylor. Not Tyler 💗
His name is Taylor. I’m sorry for correcting you, but for fans it really matters.
Indeed. I was only reading what was sent to me and it was probably a typo.
Ok can everyone please talk truth......Taylor was not high all the time ....he did not suffer an over dose.this is all bullhorn if you ask me.
It is Taylor not tyler
Why do you keep saying Tyler?

I am aware.
Your a bit human. And need to unload this
