She is also very strong in her faith and if you watch her when she sings songs of faith, she isn't there anymore. It's as though she is standing in the presence of God and singing directly to Him.

She is 20 now and studying music at university in South Africa where she lives now. This performance dates from July 12, 2014; it is the 4th most popular video of Andre Rieu's 400 odd videos - I wonder why you have not come across it before this? Amira won Holland's Got Talent outright at age 9, in December 2013. She got a three-year contract with SONY Masterworks - that's the maximum duration allowed under Netherland's law, for a child - in January 2014, and also a singing coach, (Maike van der Wiele) and recorded her first album in February 2014, it went gold two weeks later. She made a second album in 2015. There are other videos of this performance; the one by pa1189j will give you the full introduction, which is worth hearing - it was removed from the video you saw in about 2015 for copyright reasons. She has gone on, in 2016 she performed with Coleske Artists in South Africa, and in 2017 her SONY contract expired and she was snapped up by Arnold Coleske; and made her third album with them in 2017; she migrated to South Africa on January 1, 2018. She speaks Dutch, English and Afrikaans fluently. She'd had about 6 months of coaching, following her win on Holland's got talent. It shows, she was good before, she became incredible.
