You don't know how I use to sometimes curse my accordion for not having reeds that sounded more brassy so that people would know that I'm trying to approximate the sound of a trumpet or a trombone. Why not brass reeds instead of steel. But, of course, it doesn't work that way because good steel makes the best sounding reeds. What I needed was an attitude adjustment and so I did that. Brass instruments tend to sound martial and bold. So I did just what I think you did when you played this wonderful dance piece. Play it bold but not too marital because after all it is a nice piece of music to waltz to. And I like how you captured the brightness in the reeds just as though a trumpet was being used instead of an accordion. I'm looking forward to listening to your next upload. Thank you Willy. You're reminding me of some of the things I've forgotten about with my own journey on the accordion.
