I want to thank you so much. You’ve helped raise my self esteem, and lose interest in things that don’t treat me right. I grew up in an abusive household, and I use to chase after affection from my parents and from my lovers. I used to think it was my fault when others were assholes. But as my self concept has changed, I just lose interest in people and things that don’t treat me right. And I can choose myself instead and all that time I spent chasing others and attempting to force them to treat me right, instead I treat myself right, and setting much better boundaries. I’ve ended some toxic friendships with frenemies, and I have ceased pursuing people and careers that don’t treat me right. From now on, I genuinely choose myself and others who treat me right, and I will not compromise my standards. If someone decides to totally turn themselves around, that’s up to them, and if they are an asshole that’s on them. Thank you for helping FINALLY realize this. It has taken years.
I think a lot of us see these terms, like "self love" and "being chosen," and for the most part, still don't quite comprehend what it means to embody them. Understanding them as concepts and embodying them are two completely different things, and it all boils down to self-respect. The moment you begin to treat yourself like someone you respect (your time, affection, consideration, and resources) is the moment that the world will reflect it all back to you. So long as you are pining and whining after someone who doesn't even have the courtesy to treat you like a dignified human being, that's the sort of experience you'll continue to attract. *You* have to be the one on the pedestal. Not in a holier than thou, pompous sort of way, but in a *taking no shit* capacity. Because you deserve to be treated right. And you don't need to convince anyone that they need to treat you properly. You just have to confidently show them that you won't tolerate less as you deny players and fools any further access to you. Self-respect, loves. It's the one key you'll need in life.

Deep down I had a limiting belief that guys never choose me and that I'm not worthy of commitment. Or that everyone gets wifed up except for me. We're changing the story!

The moment I started to practice being chosen and detaching everything changed in my reality. I see him now as a normal person who I can love unconditionally. I’m not waiting for anything anymore. I am watching this for something else not relationships and I found it hard to apply these examples of responses to situations on my own situation because its just really different from this whole someones gonna chase me thing. My stuff is career based so I had a hard time understanding how to respond and such when it comes to this. But it finally clicked. It’s not different at all. I AM that person. That person that achieves all that. Just because I simply am. I don’t have to wait for achievement to come to feel like i am worthy of being that person. I already am that!!! And the rest follows me naturally… Because I simply AM!
Your affirmations help me so much. I just caught myself going to post to get attention or validation from seeing my sp see my story but I stopped and said the only validation I need is within and started affirming I am worthy I am loved I am powerful and totally comforted myself. I adore you Dylan!

So...I LOVE this channel. It helos me think some stuff thru and see things a different way. Something I struggle with, I have always been a giver, always the one to make the move. Now I'm tired of being that person and now I feel closed off. Which was nice for awhile. But Ive been working on myself but feel so distant with people, even tho I have people tell me how loved I am. I want to build my circle but I teeter between self love and respect boundaries and being too prideful of always reaching out first. What Dylan js saying makes perfect sense.
