Hat's off to the intense labour that goes into traditional pottery making, and thank you for making a very explicit video for the so called developed world. Hand made and labour intensive, no written words will suffice
This is absolutely AMAAAAAAZING!! This gives reclaiming a whole new definition. I know they are making the clay but by drying it out and wedging it it’s close to how we reclaim. Wow. Just wow! Can you just imagine what a pigmill would be for these people?!?!!! Did you see him cut that pot off the wheel? I watched it several times and couldn’t tell how he did it it was soo fast!! And that kiln load!!! That gives a whole new meaning to tumble stacking!! My gosh!!!

It is amazing watching these skilled men at work. No posh wheels, expensive tool, bags of clay delivered to their door! These are true artisans at work. Much respect! And they can produce identical pots! I have trouble getting 2 to look the same with all my kit!
as a potter i have a chair, electric wheel with table amd various plates to attach to the wheel to throw, im in admiration of these men how they squat to throw & only have this small wheel, and with ease they pull a large pot 👏👍alot of “ respect” to their work
These men are living the way we should building things for their community every day. Just inspired me to try this sometime. Very beautiful to watch. Respect!
How much skill is required and with what sincerity they are putting in at every stage to make that all earthen pit a perfect piece! I am impressed and feel respect for each worker putting in his bit. Kudos to all keeping the tradition alive!
I'm not just looking at the finished product....... But the skills passed on from ages with trial and error again and again and again.......its so satisfying just to watch 🙏🙏

I’ve watched video after video and nobody ever tells how the glaze does not stick to the biscuits? Otherwise it’s amazing! They must have very healthy and flexible bodies and hats off to their hard work 👏🏻 But please! About the glaze and the biscuits?
Actually the biscuits were attached with wheat flour as you see in the video the guy was mixing the flour. That's why they didn't stick with the pots and glaze. If they stick them with clay then biscuits can stick together with glaze and pot. Thank you very much for your comment.
@@SkillSpotter please tell me what kind of glaze you are using in these pots.i also belong to potter work but never succeeded in glazing. Please also tell me ,what is the melting temperature of the glaze used in this video
Excellent water cooler and also you can cook handi mutton or handi chicken in these pots. Or you can cook rice, lentil soup or other gravy dishes. The fired clay adds extra aroma to the cooked food or water you keep in it. Nowadays people think using clay utensils is backwardness and using aluminium and nonstick cookwares is modern. But the same people are digging their own grave by doing so. Aluminium, plastic and nonstick cookwares add to the medical problems prevalent these days.
Which ever country they belong to..a big salute to their craftsmanship, dedication and teamwork..let’s derive inspiration from this video and create something beautiful..Me from Karnataka, India.

As for Pots in the end of the video which has design with painting and silky texture, my question is what potters use to make silky coating? I don't have that type of pot available in Mumbai please let me know so that i can find a potter and tell him to use such method to make pot similar to Pakistani pot

Temp is around more than 300 degrees.
