I feel like the "end of an era" match was worth that title. The problem was that we kept seeing Tripps and Taker after, so it didn't end anything. It could have worked, they just didn't go through with it.

HHH tried do defend it saying he meant WCW guys when he said "people like you". The only up side to that whole rotten angle and match is that Booker got paid a ton of money. Hopefully more than HHH.

It is nuts that at the time I didn't know no one did that this was Austin's last match. I was watching like on PPV. And was there live the year before at X8.
Sooo my takeaway is people like Booker T ARE less than people like HHH. And people like Booker should work for people like HHH. I wasn't sure that was the lesson I was supposed to learn but I asked Hulk hogan and he confirmed it.
I would have liked to see Booker T. win the world heavyweight title. I heard one of the reasons why Triple H beat him was because of Goldberg was coming into WWE and creative wanted Triple H to drop the belt to him. I don’t know if that’s true though, but I do remember hearing that explanation.
For future ups and downs how about new year’s revolution .. either 2005 or 2006. You got how to do an elimination chamber match right in 05 and the iconic cash in by Edge in 06 ahh both are so good

The same way Disney + (a very strongly family/kid streaming service) puts a warning in front of their old cartoons with questionable content. I was looking forward to switching to Peacock. For the same price, $10 you would get the WWE Network and everything else Peacock has. But no thanks. I won't support them and get Peacock if they are going to remove content.

When I watched HHH vs Booker T it didn't have racial undertones. It was just WCWs best champion vs WWEs best champion. It only has racial undertones in the ultra-sensitive light of 2020 that looks to be offended at every possible turn
WM 19 was great, definitely in the same conversation as 17, X8, and 20. Goldberg winning the WCW world title 6/7/98 Nitro/Raw retro ups and downs. About time we see Nitro at its very best. Raw had a good showing with Mankind vs Undertaker number one contenders match as the main event.
I wonder why we do viewership numbers these days because like when NXT was on Wednesday before my Dad passed he liked AEW so we watched it live on Wednesday because it was to much of a pain he couldn't use Roku for AEW but like even now if there is a good Monday night football game I want to see I watch RAW the next morning on Hulu so I don't get it with viewer numbers I have a lot of friends who have no cable or satellite they can get local fox so they watch SmackDown on tv but the other two they stream so I am just wondering how they know how many total watch?

I feel like the triple h Booker T stuff should kind of get a pass. I realize why people don't like it, but in the end triple h had to cheat to win and he needed the help of another person. Booker T's pride and honor are intact because we know triple h could not beat him by himself. So even though he won the match Trips STILL proved himself to be the lesser man. Plus NO match featuring triple H and/or Booker T should EVER get a "brown down" for ANY reason ever, PERIOD.
The Pillow fight was silly fun at the time. No harm was done. What’s wrong with sitting back and enjoying silliness or sexuality? These women were having fun and getting paid for it. We’re all SO “enlightened” that we’ve turned back into prudes.
