How to fill empty cells with previous row value in Excel

If i want to fill the series in each empty cell continue with the number just above it... How to do it.?.. If i have 2 in uper cell.. Thn I have to fill 2,4,5,6,7,8... Then with next cell in same column have 3 in upper cell..n want to fill next numbers below it ...have huge data... Please guide

Just type group 1 and group 2.. then select both cells.. and drag it down using the bottom right part.. it will happen

@@Excelrush u r not getting my point.. Its not to one Series through out the table... For instance in this video.. In cell of group 1..i have to fill next blank columns with group 2,group 3.. So on.. There are some numbers in one columns with some blank cells below it.. Have to fill next numbers in all that blank cells with above cell value..so can not use fill option..
