On this model you can use the v clamp from the exhaust pipe if the turbo to dpf clamp is roached. Pull steering cyl heat shield. Lay the dpf on its side behind the motor pry the body heat shield up slightly and the dpf will come out fairly easily. Use a 17 mm crows foot on a long extension to an impact to get the egt out of the dpf flex pipe

I have been wanting to do this to my 2014 TDI and I have seen people not fight the DPF, but simply cut it apart to get it out.
just did mine today, definitely +1 for cutting the flex pipe portion off, I think it took me about 5 minutes from the time I cut it to the time i was dragging the dpf out from under the car lol
It's pretty easy to drop the sub frame and remove it all without damaging anything. Then you have the option to sell the old exhaust.

If you have a 6sp manual trans a CR170 clutch from darkside development in the UK will bolt right in and works great for power upgrades such as Malone 2 tune.
Do NOT put in a single mass flywheel as it will knock out the synchros in your trans in a few thousand miles.
My car is continuously having DPF problems and going into limp mode. Like every 3 months or so. Would removing this and tuning it remedy this? ( For offroad use only of course )

You think it would matter if installed the exhaust before the tune? My car is already in limp mode due to a clogged dpf.
I dont recommend it, becausei dont know how the car will respond for sure.
If your already in limp mode, and you change out exhaust before the tune, you'll still be in limp mode.
My passat is in limp mode right now too. I'm just glad it's still under warranty

They have a diesel particulate filter and an scr filter. Which works like a "convertidor catalitico".
What do i unbolt to swing transmission away? Been fighting for a while and need my car working again

when trying to re bolt the axel back in. i have a decent gap between the joint and trans. how do i adjust this back?

I did the stage 2 tune and DSG from tunezilla on my 2014 Beetle. Can i still do DPF delete after or do i gotta put it before the tune?
I would always recommend doing the tune before deleting anything.
Did you tune the car first before removing exhaust? Or after?....does it matter which order you do it in?
Oh yeah, you want to tune it first, your dash would light up like Christmas tree if you tuned it after, it wouldn't be recommended to do it after.

What color wires under the car did u remove for the dpf when u said “don’t do this” which color wire were they
Honestly I can't remember.
Easiest way is to follow the wiring to the DPF, and then follow any other ones that run up to the cat. If you unplug more connections then you require, once everything is removed, you can plug it back in.
Have you ever wondered why sports cars have speed but your car can’t climb simple hill just because of this DPF the air intake to engine is limited car manufacturers should revisit this idea of DPF system
How is inspection with this? I don't have emissions where I live but I still have an annual inspection. Is it just a don't mention it type of thing? About to take the plunge on my '14 passat
I couldn't tell you about the inspection. That would be up to the individual inspector. Is there anything on the inspection about emissions?
@@SouthdownGarage they don't "test" for emission levels but I wonder if they will flag it if it's not OE or doesn't have a cat etc. I'll have to do some research.

They inspect here but no emissions are checked on diesels. My F250 is deleted and I just did my 14 Sprtwgn. No problems.

friend I have jetta tdi 2013 has the check light on the codes without egr and dpf I already replaced the valve and changed the dpf filter and the light is still on I don't know what to make any recommendations

Yes, as long as it goes to a special metal recycling that sells them. Don't take them to a scrap yard, you'll get ripped off
does this do anything to the swirl flaps? what add ons did you get for the tune?
No, this tune only had the delete and stage 2 with DSG tune.
What have you found with the swirl flaps?

@@SouthdownGarage theyre also known as the intake manifold valves. From what i know theyre just used to recirculate the exhaust fumes but idk if im wrong. theres not much online info abt em.

If the CP4 pump grenades it’s cheaper to throw the car away than fix it.

I got mine from Xman turbo in the Uk for less $800
Malone will need the details off the psi switch to make the tune work with the new pump. FYI it drastically improved performance as I did the conversion after the tune and delete.
@Ryan Logan yeah, it's like 15 hp increase, which is pretty good.
The guys from formerly Malone tuning now TuneZilla are pretty local to me, and I will be buying the turbo setup from them for Stage 4.
I'll make sure everything goes through them.
I weould have just used a sawzall on the dpf to, who cares if yer throwing it away.

@@alexandergates7078 you don't cut, just where the slip joint past the cat gets removed, then the reducer plugs right into it. Pretty seamless. No cutting required
@@SouthdownGarage i don't have a lift to pull the trans like you did and was trying to take the EGR Out completely same with DPF for the hood stack in my other comment... really need the advice have to be back on the road in 12 days im a traveling hvac tech and this is my car for the traveling
