I found Kevin Murphy riffs got very dark/humour and I love them as did my older brothers and father too we loved this show back in the early 1990s abd onward
😂😂I just read your comment.. I didn’t even start looking at the video yet. Your comment had me laughing out loud 😂😅. Now I can’t wait to look for it when watching it.👍🏾
'And the prize goes to a girl.' The cows are furious! 'Judging cakes oughta be fun.' But this woman sucks the joy out of it. 'Joey loses out.' Joey hates himself.
Ok, I searched IMDB and it was filmed in Louisville. It was filmed in 47 and it must of been at the old fair grounds cause the one building at the end didn't look too much like Freedom hall... but then again I may be wrong. This is the Kentucky State Fair which is held every year and I usually go to it about every other year. Last year I saw Alice Cooper perform. :)
Farm folks are bringing in the products of the harvest. The choicest of their animals Crow: Their dates! This is a jet plane wonder what it would be like to fly it? Mike: Over Cambodia secretly maintaining plausible deniability.
Right when I saw the Moth Exhibit I knew they were going to make a reference to the Silence of the Lambs... This is one of the few shorts I haven't seen and my God it was a good one...like always.
Almost all Australian capital city "fairgrounds" or in Australian terms "Metropolitian Shows" still look almost like this in style and form as of now. I go to one every year in early September in the "Royal Adelaide Show". The reason for survival of these events in Australia is due to the huge distances between Australian capital cities and the very poor quality of interstate transport options. So this MST3K short is still very relevant for me. Distance between Melbourne and Sydney is a bout 1000 kilometres and the distance from Sydney to Brisbane (and the Gold Coast) is about 960 kilometres. And Melbourne is about 760 kilometres from Adelaide. Still to this day, Australia is still not served by fast train(ie TGV, Bullet Train, etc) transport. The Royal Adelaide Show has no known or identifiable competition (apart from frequent flyer point schemes). In 2002 it was rated the third most profitable "fairground" show in the entire world!
I saw these on my visits to AUS and made me think of this My wife is from Soliders point (lives with me in NYC now for over 12 years now) but when I go there in between the cities I find it very nice these fairs and Aussies are just always nice and good time people always up to have a time eat and drink. Also I love Gold Coast we would always go to the Gold Coast before seeing family and friends just to chill out for a few days nice place
"No one can explain why Father is 85" "What's this?...EVIL!" "except this one doesn't have Father's arms stuck in it" "He is all knowing and wise" "all too soon the rides are over...the lawsuits begin"
This short brings back memories for me of the fair I went to in Wisconsin. Some differences, of course, but pretty similar. [Father, of course, stands by] Doing NOTHING
Trying to figure out where this short was filmed. It may have been Louisville Ky as there was a WHAS sign in the show barn. WHAS is the call sign for a TV station and AM radio station in Louisville.
I saw these in my youth, but never gave it a chance to understand the comedy within and always changed channel, just one of the many wrong choices i made in life. Brilliant.
"THIS is a JET PLANE..."
"...where does the CORN go?!"
Still one of my favorites.
But don't forget, "Hitler's Death Car".....
Out of all the MST3K shorts, this is the one that lives in my head rent free the most.
"Later, these moths turn up in the mouths of Bob's victims". Silence of the Lambs riffs are few, but priceless.
There's one in I Was A Teenage Werewolf, too.
From Cheating: "This kid could freak out Jame Gumb!"
I found Kevin Murphy riffs got very dark/humour and I love them as did my older brothers and father too we loved this show back in the early 1990s abd onward
"No-one can explain why Father is 85."
Negan "Hitler's death car!"
"Oh, not your gallstones, Henry!"
That line is just too damn funny
It's simple really, he's the older brother of the couple.
Mom was no spring chicken either.
"Scientists aren't sure what this represents"
Fucking genius.
"This is a jet plane. Wonder what it would be like to fly it...."
".....over Cambodia secretly maintaining plausible deniability."
Still love that line.
that one goes great with Last Clear Chance's "Almost ran over Kissinger! Better go back." gag
@@hambor12 that line is the best I yelled out loud laughing lol
This had me dying laughing - that part with the boy brushing his cow 'Did Donna do this rinse? Honey lets go with bangs this time'
😂😂I just read your comment.. I didn’t even start looking at the video yet. Your comment had me laughing out loud 😂😅. Now I can’t wait to look for it when watching it.👍🏾
“The family of shame” still cracks me up 🤣
"This is the fairground where the fair is held."
Tom: Any questions so far??
So simple, but it works :D
Is the fair in this ground?
" A wheel slices into the crowd, killing three! " gets me every time xD lmao
AIEEEE!
Still, nothing measures up to those bass, huh?
“Uggh, Freddy Krueger”
“Hitlers Death Car”
“Get the car!! THERE’S CARROTS IN THE CAR!!!”
It's time for fun
"So they LEAVE the fair!"
Ah yes the best line
'And the prize goes to a girl.'
The cows are furious!
'Judging cakes oughta be fun.'
But this woman sucks the joy out of it.
'Joey loses out.'
Joey hates himself.
"Life goes on, dull as before." - This short in one riff
"But first, she must see what Mr. Olsen is taking to the fair."
"Oh, not your gall stones, Henry!"
"The gates to the midway open to a hundred ways of having fun, or you can just get hammered."
Haha, so many great lines.
First she feels the cake...
"THEN SHE RUBS IT INTO HER HAIR!"
"Pickles pack the stands for the pickle races!" made me laugh so hard
That was great I remember watching this years ago and my mother laughing so hard in the other room when Thry said thst
Judging cakes ought to be fun, but this woman sucks the joy out of it!
I lolled big time on "The blue ribbon goes to a girl." "THE COWS ARE FURIOUS!"
"Let's get busy in the car..."🚜
"Here at the Olsen's farm..."
"Pain is everywhere"
LMAO!!
One of my favorite shorts.
Noone can explain why father is 85 🤣
Never watch these shorts while drinking coffee. You have been warned.
Or any liquid really lol
This was amazing.
The Nirvana part made me laugh so hard I choked on my sandwich.
Coming right off the stiff rendition of "Grazing in the Grass."
Seeing the harness race bit made me oddly nostalgic - my dad used to take me to see horse races a lot...
"It's all done being protective chicken wire".
That line kills me.
“I’ll pay ya….cmon pick mine”
"Grazing in the grass is a gas, baby can you dig it?" The Friends Of Distinction
"Now Johnny goes to see the fish!" Man, if this was riffed a few years later, they could've put in a "This is where the fish live" joke.
I went to an agricultural society fair today, and thanks to this film, I knew how corn is judged! #IWannaGoHorsies
Want the real thing? This was shot at the Indiana State Fair. C'mon by - it's the same today.
I think it looks like the Iowa State Fair...
RavenTheEnderNinja I’m going to the Iowa State Fair, for the first time. Try some that “unusual” fair food.
Do they still have the Man in the Hat exhibit? I’ve always wanted to see that.
@@GrixieKongThe hat's still there, but the man isn't.
For the past few years I've been at the county fair, Berrien County, Michigan; and this is STILL a pretty accurate description of how it goes.
Went to the Santa Clara every year. Neat stuff to buy, rides, arcade games and every kind of junk food known to man.
Ok, I searched IMDB and it was filmed in Louisville. It was filmed in 47 and it must of been at the old fair grounds cause the one building at the end didn't look too much like Freedom hall... but then again I may be wrong. "The family of shame!" XD That part gets me every time.
Cow scene Crow says.. "Thank God methane rises." Bawhahaha.
No Smoking allowed where livestock are exhibited..🚭
"Hitler's Death Car!" nearly choked to death on that line.
No matter how many times I watch this it's still funny, I laugh like it's my first time watching it.
"And what's this?"
"EVIL!"
Well, it does look like Devil's Food Cake...
I like "these moths were later found in the mouths of Bob's victims" I couldn't stop laughing.
Thank God Methane rises...💨
Farm folks are bringing in the products of the harvest. The choicest of their animals
Crow: Their dates!
This is a jet plane wonder what it would be like to fly it?
Mike: Over Cambodia secretly maintaining plausible deniability.
Oh my god, the whole part with the rides had me cracking up.
"The directer got arty here. ROLLA COASTTAA"
The barfing part whilst riding the Whip ride? 🤮
"This is the fairground, where the fair is held." Is that near where the fish lives?
Zah!
Let´s go eat something grey!
"Iz Güd, Ja?"
God I love Mystery Science Theater 3000
"This is a jet plane" "Where's the Corn go?" "Wonder what it's like to fly it?" "-Over Cambodia!" Oh god my throat hurts from laughing so hard.
this had too many good riffs to name one specific. one that sticks out " pickles pack the stands for the pickle traces"
I lost it when Crow sez, She rubs it into her hair
When the kid was brushing his cow, I was thinking "WITH the fur, kid, WITH the fur!".
This will always be my favorite of the pre movie shorts.
Our State Fair is a great State Fair. Don’t miss it don’t even be late.
"You've spent your nickel, we're DONE!" xDD
Right when I saw the Moth Exhibit I knew they were going to make a reference to the Silence of the Lambs...
This is one of the few shorts I haven't seen and my God it was a good one...like always.
This is Johnny, the mean one.
And romance! And intrigue!
"and the Oak Ridge Boys take the stage"
"hi ho silver away"
I laughed so hard I cried.
The barely audible "no" at 1:29 got me good XD
"Wonder what it would be like to fly it...over Cambodia, secretly, maintaining plausible denibility."-freakin' awesome!
As a 4-Her I’m laughing even harder
the race is over
and the oakridge boys take the stage
ELVIRA
"Still, nothing measures up that bass eh?" HA HA!!! That one made me fall out of my chair...
A Nightmare on Elm Street AND a Silence of the Lambs joke. Awesome.

"He looks at Johnny's calf and feels a stirring"
"Hitler's Death Car!" Love it!
"Pa, slow down! You're doing 15!"
....captured pilots are paraded before the citizens.... LOL
Women are excited by seeing the word "member."
"Watch the Boy on the Left
His heart's about to Explode!"
Where's the corn go!
Love that there was a music group Friends of Distinction shout out.
I'm more impressed with the Friends of Distinction reference("Grazing in the grass is a gas, baby, can you dig it?").
This is one of my favorite MST3K shorts. :-D
The Blue Morpho And the crowd goes wild: YAY.
"You've spent your nickel! We're done!"
Awesome.
"Too soon, the ride's over."
Crow: The law suits begin. 🗞️
"He looks at Johnny's calf veeeerrrry carefully"...
"He feels a stirring"...
“He realizes he had not known ‘Cow’ until that day.”
This has to be one of the first RUclips videos!
"brother bob is interested in the butterfly collection!" "...too interested"
"He looks at Johnny's calf very carefully..." "He feels a stirring."
Isn't farm life wonderful? 🤠
"I feel stupid, and contagious!" OMG Tom!
"GET THE CAR THERE'S CARROTS IN THE CAR"
This is how it seems to be thrown clear as the cables snap!
"This is what its like to ride the ferris wheel."
"It's *this* disappointing."
Says you. 🎡
"and they're into Jazz"....holy shit LOL!! Soda flew out the nose laughing, again.
Good god...What has been seen can not be unseen.
"here come the racers down the track and away"
mike "a wheel slices into the crowd killing 3"
"What's this?"
"EVIL!!!"
Cracks me up every time.
This short brings back memories for me of the fair I went to in Wisconsin. Some differences, of course, but pretty similar.
[Father, of course, stands by]
Doing NOTHING
"The champion's blue ribbon goes to a girl" The cows are furious!
Actually, it's the Kentucky State Fair. Watch the cattle judging near the end. You'll see
"WHAS" on a banner. WHAS is in Louisville.
'Its time for lunch.' 'Lets go eat something grey' hahaha
"First she feels the cake."
"Then she rubs it into her hair."
"Then she tastes it."
"What the hell is this?"
Trying to figure out where this short was filmed. It may have been Louisville Ky as there was a WHAS sign in the show barn. WHAS is the call sign for a TV station and AM radio station in Louisville.
Grazing in the grass is a gas, baby. Can you dig it
I can dig it...🥙
My husband and I quote this at the State Fair every single year.
The Muhammad Ali reference was awesome. I laughed so hard on that one for some reason.
I am old enough to remember the Dead End Kids.😂😂😂
pa, slow down. you're doing 15!
I laughed at "Mrs. Khrushchev," and then it hit me that I'm old enough to remember what she looked like.
7:00: Hey, it's Oppenheimer!
"let's go eat something grey."
"Ist gud, Ja?" 🇩🇪
"What's this?"
Crow: EVIL!
"here we are now, entertainers!"
What happened to the "Freaks Of Nature" we were promised? 🦔
C'mon, ya chunk of dog food, I got a year's allowance on ya!
I saw these in my youth, but never gave it a chance to understand the comedy within and always changed channel, just one of the many wrong choices i made in life. Brilliant.
