I'm looking forward to DG youtube hyping this disc, throwing it for a month or two, and then quietly ditching it because it became too understable too quickly. InnerCore, part 2.
As someone who work in manufacturing polyurethane, you were spot on with the durometer of the different flexibility’s. Loved the technical aspects of the vid.
Gonna guess 5 5 -0.5 0... Going with the ending numbers of the Inner Core since the flight feels the same but longer, but it also feels very Buzzz-like.
Based on your throws in this video I think I'd give it a 4 / 4 / 0 / 0 or a 4 / 4 / -1 / 1. Looks straight AF and maybe looks like it wants to flip and fade just a tiny bit.
Looks like a 5 6 0 0. But I’m just comparing your flight to my mind bender. My origin has a bit more turn than this. Also I didn’t really see any fade at the end. Overall, I’m impressed with what you all at trash panda are doing. Looking forward to 7/10/23.
I was watching the flight on every throw to see if I could figure out the flight numbers.. I see it’s got quite a bit of glide so it’s gonna start with 5, 5, maybe even a 6 for glide but then it gets tricky. It definitely did turn a bit but not a lot and it had some fade too. The turn wasn’t as apparent when you were throwing the shorter holes so I can’t go more than 1 for sure. Looks like it flies similar to my beat in reactor. I’m going to say 5, 6, -.5, 1. looks like a dead straight mid, pretty sweet Jesse. Keep it up, can’t wait to get my own!!
Stupid question...what would happen, if you mix yellow and red material in the Mold? Will the Color just "MIX" or would you get some "Halo"-Style color-variations? And....4/5/-1/0
When it comes to speed, I really liked what Vibram did where they put the actual speed you had to throw the disc to get the turn and fade in their flight numbers. We all know flight numbers don't matter in most cases. It's almost better to develop an application to account for all the variables with last minute tweaks for things such as wind speed and direction.
My take at some flight numbers: 5, 5, -.5, 1.5. It seems like a classic mid with some decent stability, that 350ish ft throw didn't need too much flip.
Love the bottom stamp and that its molded in, honestly don't care a whole lot about foil stamping especially if it affects sustainability. With that in mind, does dying the disc affect its potential for recycling?
Looks like 5 5 -1 1. Love the orange. Can't wait for the drop! No stamp = dyers delight. But why sharpie the weight? Can't you emboss while the disc is still warm? Seems like it would save time and wasted sharpies.
Not stamped… but how about dye? I spied an Inner Core in an earlier video with the Trash Panda logo dyed so we know you can do it. 😉 I’d pay extra for the logo version.
The flight pattern is very reminiscent of A Fuse from Latitude 64, I'm thinking in the ball park of 5/6/-1/0. It flips up nicely and holds that line. It's very glidey and looks like it wants to stay in the air( like a fuse or a river with lots of glide ) 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
At sea level I think it will be about 5.5/5/-1.5/.5 Close to a wombat3 It looks like it’s a tad faster than a typical 5 speed, looks stable to understable at altitude, but still wants to fight out of its turn just a smidgen.
Please solve our flight number issue with science. Please! I was thinking it was 5/5/0/1 but didn't seem to fade a lot unless stuck on hyzer. Maybe going 5/5/-0.5/0.5? Seems like a pathfinder/mako3/insert your straight midrange here.
2 brand spankin' Dunes arrived at my PO Box today. I immediately took them out for a "spin" at my local course (which is conveniently right next door to the post office!). Wow......I felt like George Takei was standing next to me the whole time saying "oh my". ------- Quick setup.....I consider myself a "just becoming a recreational/novice" player. My favorite midrange is (was?) an Emac Truth. I do have an Inner Core, which I like but it's not my favorite putter. On this course I typically come in around 3-6 over par on a good day. Today I played with just the two Dunes, and my Emac Truth serving as a control (no putters or drivers). I played each disc independently...essentially playing three simultaneous rounds. The Dunes were fantastic....consistently outplaying the Truth, flying as close to dead straight as I've ever thrown, almost always playing close to exactly how I intended, etc. I honestly found myself laughing out loud multiple times at how "true" they were flying. In particular there are two holes I always struggle on, only very rarely hitting par on them. Both feature pretty narrow "tunnels" to negotiate, and one has a major downslope all along the left side.......down which my discs ALWAYS seem to go down, into either really rough vegetation or rolling WAY downhill across a dirt road and into a deep ditch. And once at the basket, it actually gets worse....a miss can easily go an extra 30-40 feet. Ugh.....I often double or triple bogey on this hole. My first throw was the Truth.....which of course went off that left side and into the rough. My second and third throws...with the Dunes.....were actually perfect, EXACTLY where I wanted! Then I threw birdies with both Dunes.....for the first time ever on both these holes! For the rest of the round, the Dunes continued to surprise and impress. I shot many birdies, sometimes at holes for the first time. They pretty much always flew just as I intended them to, and were SO straight when I wanted them to be. I then did a second round, with much the same results........including both Dunes again producing birdies on THAT hole (which I've never done before today). In short.....I LOVE the Dune, and will absolutely "bag it". Oh my, indeed.
I don't care what the flight numbers are. I want to buy one of each density. Even if they don't make my bag, I'll be supporting you. BTW - discs really don't need flight numbers..yes, they help and are a starting point...but without standards they really have no accuracy. NSH Customs who do PDGA approved 3D printed discs just say the type of disc (putter, mid, etc) and stability (overstable, understable, etc) and they have flight charts. As one other person stated, it would be nice if discs had a true speed....the MPH that a disc needs to be thrown to get the flight the manufacturer intends.
One of the worst things about disc golf in my opinion is mid-range disc weight. I can never find the mids that I want because they are all bricks at like 178 g or 180 why doesn't anybody make mid-ranges that are 170 g 🤬
Based on how hard it looks like you're throwing it on most of these shots (and having seen a lot of your videos where you throw molds I'm familiar with) I'd say the numbers on this disc should be 5,4,-1,1. Can't wait to get mine when they drop.
Flies like a slightly less stable pathfinder. So either a bit slower like a 4 5 0 1 or the same speed with slightly more turn like 5 5 -1 1. Although it did not seem to fade that much. Mostly goes forwards so maybe 5 5 0 0 ??
I went to college to be a material science engineer so this video brought me right back to my college days... ironically that's when I picked up disc golf
I love the inclusion of the hardness scale on the disc! I’d love to see other manufacturers do this. How do you measure the durometer of a disc? Do you need specialized equipment?
Durometer metric is such a huge thing to add. I love that you are pioneering adding this metric. Is there a way to test a disc post production or do we need manufacturers to understand and add them as well?
Congratulations on the disc coming out! It looks really sweet. It really reminds me of the Göte from Kastaplast. It seems as if you power it up it can get a slight hyzer flip, but with lower power "finesse" shots it really holds the line you put it on. A true "shape it how you want it" disc. Similarly, the rim width i read from the PDGA website is 1,2 cm, again very similar to Göte (1,3 cm) - and different from other midrange discs with larger rims (example Dynamic Discs Truth has 1,5 cm rim width). My suggestion for some flight numbers would be 4/5/0/1 🙂 I hope I will get to throw one of your discs one day, however they are difficult to come by in Europe. Once again, congratulations on the release 🙂
Flies like a Lat64 compass to me, so I agree with this :) doesn't flip easy unless really thrown hard, very straight with hardly any fade, but holds a line on nearly any angle.
You might wanna hit the notification bell because next week’s video is 🔥
Next week's video better start with that cliffhanger either going in or caging..
Did somebody say LAUNCH PARTY?!?!?!?
😂make one with the trash panda logo but it has glowing blue eyes (any dune fans out there...thumbs up👍🙌)
I thought TPU stands for Trash Panda University because I've learned so much from you.
Lordt!!! That thing flies straight!
As someone who has thrown the dune. It sincerely flys like a mix of a latitude 64 Fuse and Discmania Origin. I’d give it a 5,5,-1,.5
Looks about accurate to the video
How'd you get a chance to throw it!?
@@johnshepherd6925 I played in a local Colorado event where a member of the team had one and he let me test it out! Super fun disc.
Looks like a fuse in the air, basically no fade at all and tons of glide.
I have been throwing fuse for i year now and it looks simulare. Looks like 5 5 0 0.5
Hmm - flies like a buzz or buzz ss 👀
I’m curious to see how it flies at a lower elevation, I think it will be a little more flippy so I will go with 5/5/-2/1
I was gonna say this looks like dead between a hex and an uplink.
I’d say it looks like 5 5 -1 0. Flies similarly to a Mako3. Maybe slightly flippier. I can’t wait to get one (or two)!
Looks pretty straight at elevation so I assume will be flippier at sea level. I'm going 5,5,-2,0 for the flight numbers. Kinda like a Buzz SS.

Looks close to those numbers but him throwing it up in Denver I'd bet those numbers are 5/6/-1.5/0 when you get down to sea level
Mind Bender thrown flat doesn't drift like this. Definitely a little understable
I was watching the flight on every throw to see if I could figure out the flight numbers.. Yeah, I agree with the flight ratings.
I think 5, 6, -1, .5
There is no way that disc has the same turn as a Mamba it isn’t -5
@@tylerbryant2010 the guy meant -0.5
Ok thanks
Stupid question...what would happen, if you mix yellow and red material in the Mold? Will the Color just "MIX" or would you get some "Halo"-Style color-variations?

Owls den is awesome. See you at the release party

“We can’t tell you all the colors available” *proceeds to throw red, orange, blue, and purple discs*. 😆🤘❤
I’m gonna need updated info on those special rufus’ 👀
Damn! a release on my birthday! That is awesome.
5/5/-1/1 maybe not even 1fade at the end. Also do you mean stamped bottom or "embossed" into the mold?
This video is so freaking well made. It is surprising.
It's not a surprise anymore! They've been good and only keep getting better
Love the bottom stamp and that its molded in, honestly don't care a whole lot about foil stamping especially if it affects sustainability. With that in mind, does dying the disc affect its potential for recycling?
looks like a speed 5 inner core honestly. hope i can get my hands on some at release this time. 🤞🤞🤞
Well... did you ace it?? 😮
Looks like 5 5 -1 1. Love the orange. Can't wait for the drop!
No stamp = dyers delight. But why sharpie the weight? Can't you emboss while the disc is still warm? Seems like it would save time and wasted sharpies.
Id say the flight #s, based on this vid, are sorta (5, 5, 0, 0.5) looks to be in between a buzzz and a warship *insert straight-stable midrange*
Not stamped… but how about dye? I spied an Inner Core in an earlier video with the Trash Panda logo dyed so we know you can do it. 😉 I’d pay extra for the logo version.
I can't wait for this disc. The More I use the Inner Core the more I love it. Keep up the great work!
looks pretty straight but still has the distance. id say it seems like a 5,6.-1,1 or maybe even a 0,0 it sits like my mako3
This looks like if you took an Axiom Proxy and made it a midrange. id guess the flight numbers are 4/5/-1/0.5
can’t heckin wait!!!!!
The flight pattern is very reminiscent of A Fuse from Latitude 64, I'm thinking in the ball park of 5/6/-1/0. It flips up nicely and holds that line. It's very glidey and looks like it wants to stay in the air( like a fuse or a river with lots of glide ) 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
the orange is 🔥🔥🔥
Shai-Hulud is pleased with this disc.
That 400' shot was straight as an arrow with zero fade! It's got to be somewhere around 5 6 0 0!
5 5 0 0
Looks like a more torque resistant Mako3!
At sea level I think it will be about 5.5/5/-1.5/.5
Close to a wombat3
It looks like it’s a tad faster than a typical 5 speed, looks stable to understable at altitude, but still wants to fight out of its turn just a smidgen.
For suggested flight numbers, it would be great to see you throw it alongside other mids in a similar flight profile!
It’s a Mako3! 5/6/0/0
Can't wait! Great video as always Trash Panda team!
A true 5,5,-1,1
That's a 5401 if I ever saw one!
Looks like a 5 speed Inner Core. 5,5, -0.5, 0
Love my first run Inner Core. Looks like a 6 5 -1 1 to me. Looks like it flies like a mako3 or a flippy Warship.
5,5,-.5,1 seems like the approximate range, looking good!
4|5|-0.5|1 🤷♂️
The slight flip up and push on the Dune looks niiiiice. Can't wait to give it a go!
Hell of a flight, I'm interested
There is a PURPLE dune in there! OOOOOOOOOH MAN
So hype!!
I love your Channel!!!
And I have a Berg too 🤣
Please solve our flight number issue with science. Please! I was thinking it was 5/5/0/1 but didn't seem to fade a lot unless stuck on hyzer. Maybe going 5/5/-0.5/0.5? Seems like a pathfinder/mako3/insert your straight midrange here.
5/5/-1/0 or 5/5/-.5/.5. Stupid straight. I wonder what the flight looks like closer to sea level? Nice work
Yessssss!!!!! Way to go Jesse. Super stoked to have a second disc in my bag to throw besides the Inner Core. Love what you’ve done for this sport.
That Rufus! 😍
Will you guys restock the inner core?
Bagged my inner core immediately. Cannot wait for this disc. LETS GOOOOOO
Honestly, all them funny numbers on the disc don't matter if you throw it wrong enough.
Edit, WHERE is the "launch party"?
2 brand spankin' Dunes arrived at my PO Box today.

If it’s 5,5,0,1 at altitude it’s probably 5,5-1,0 everywhere else?

5,5,-1,0 would be my guess as far as flightnumbers go. If its at elevation perhaps -2. Looks like a buzzz ss flight-ish.
Great Job, great vid. Go on with your way. I think, 5,5,-1,1 will be the right values.
Greetsiel from germany.
JD
Looks like the numbers could be 5,6,-1,0. Looks similar flight to my Lat64 Fuse
After seeing the flight it looks like a 5/4/-1/1 or a 5/4/-.5/0 (edit - I always think golden is way over valued that’s why I say 4 not 5)
One of the worst things about disc golf in my opinion is mid-range disc weight. I can never find the mids that I want because they are all bricks at like 178 g or 180 why doesn't anybody make mid-ranges that are 170 g 🤬

Make a Dune at 160 grams and I'll buy 2!
Need some lighter versions for us old farts that use lighter discs.
Flies like a slightly less stable pathfinder. So either a bit slower like a 4 5 0 1 or the same speed with slightly more turn like 5 5 -1 1. Although it did not seem to fade that much. Mostly goes forwards so maybe 5 5 0 0 ??
I'd say the flight numbers could be 5/4.5/-.5/.5

I love the inclusion of the hardness scale on the disc! I’d love to see other manufacturers do this. How do you measure the durometer of a disc? Do you need specialized equipment?
I'm thinking 5/5/-1/1 but I'm also stupid so who knows
Just drop it already lol. Idc how it flies I want it lmao. Thanks for the videos.
Looks like a 5 5 -1 1 or a 5 6 0 0. It has a slight flip up from hyzer, can turn on an anny line, or stay flat before a slight fade.
I need an orange dune! Seems like a very straight flying midrange, probably a 5 5 -1 1
Looks fairly similar to a hex or a streamline echo. Hopefully I'll be able to get one to try all the way over here in Sweden! :D
Flies kind of like a fuse. I bet at cost to sea level like here in Michigan it'll be something like 5/6/-1/0
my highly uneducated guess would be 5,4,-1,2
Where did you get that bag? I think it’s sweet!!
Pound Rufus x Trash Panda Bag 🔥🔥
It looks like it throws like an Innova Jay at 4 5 -1 0. But I think it’ll be a little faster so I’m going with 5 5 -1 0
I hope they are stiffer and more stable than the protos! Can you confirm or deny that?
I’m going on vacation to Denver the 12th sad I won’t get to make the launch party :(
Save an orange one for me! Preferably lighter weight. =)
I'm getting strong MD3 vibes. Just based on the flight I've seen
Durometer metric is such a huge thing to add. I love that you are pioneering adding this metric. Is there a way to test a disc post production or do we need manufacturers to understand and add them as well?
Knowing you’re at elevation and I live at sea level, to me it looks like a 5/5/-2/0
I wish it would came out a few days earlier since I have my first tournament on July 9th
Im gonna say 4, 4, -1,0 looks pretty flippy!
The flight numbers look like 5 6 -2 1
This is looking like a 5,5,0,2 for numbers to me
ah darn, I have a Rufus. Nobody needs two Rufus's, but now I sort of want two.
That's the same way to describe the hardness of skateboard wheels❤
Has quite a bit of glide. I would guess a 5/5/-.5/0
I'm in for 1 of each color and maybe an extra orange (that one really pops)
Congratulations on the disc coming out! It looks really sweet.

My suggestion for some flight numbers would be 4/5/0/1 🙂
I hope I will get to throw one of your discs one day, however they are difficult to come by in Europe. Once again, congratulations on the release 🙂
You get free world wide shipping if you spend 100$. So you could get all 3 different discs on the release:)
@@karlfarahi6326 thats really nice to know. Thanks for sharing. However the customs fee for entering the EU might still be a big ekstra unfortunately.
5 5 -2 1 would be my guess. Curious what your studies show.
5/6/-1/0. I saw some flip on that last throw. 😊
I don't know what it is but they seem to fly like a Mako/Mako3
Flight numbers gotta be 5/5/0/1
Flies like a Lat64 compass to me, so I agree with this :) doesn't flip easy unless really thrown hard, very straight with hardly any fade, but holds a line on nearly any angle.
5 4 -1 1
The flight looks pretty similar to a Fuse.
