So cool to see your direct impact on other manufacturers!
Man, that's really cool. I remember watching the other video you mentioned!
That's awesome! Good on you for doing your part!
This is so rad! You’re changing the industry… one step at a time. Bravo.
Has no one else put together that Brad from Foundation Disc Golf is the Brad that he is talking about?! And blown away by that? Or am I just late to the party?
Yeah foundation and atlas are the same company
Different companies, similar owners ✌🏼
A lot of shipping and manufacturing for a tiny plastic product that can be replaced by a piece of tape.
Congrats Jesse! Love seeing two awesome disc golf companies closing the loop on plastic pollution. 🗑🦝🥏🌎
🆒 Somebody is using the old plastic of yours 👍
Disc dot lmao, the whole thing is a “con”
Just use a piece of painters tape if that’s how you want to practice
Nice.
Totally gonna buy one now
Congrats Jesse, its so inspiring watching you and your brand grow. Been watching your channel since almost the start and wow, what a journey its been so far.
P.S. still waiting on that white and black "halo" putter to buy lol
Lol...pick a chain link
disc dots made from Lonestar discs. Can't think of a better use. lol
On that note; lsd makes a lot of "floater" discs. So I wonder if those disc dots float? New bobber for fishing?
So cool !!
Very Cool. That is a great full circle story.
So psyched for this! Rick lives just down the road from me, he plays dubs at our local course, and on Thursday night he was literally walking on clouds when he told me that Disc Dots were going recycled. Such a moment for disc golf, and such a great concrete example of how our manufacturing should proceed in the future. Jesse, you and the Trash Panda folks ROCK!🕺
Congrats!! I respect you and your work so much, definitely going to be ordering some disc dots!
So amazing! Keep up the good work!! Trash Panda lover for life!
Love Jesse and all business Brad! Huge for the space!
🙏🏻
Totally thought this would be about the fairway. Picked me up some inner core colored dots still
THIS is why i never bought them. Literally. Too small, too plastic. Like i was buying ocean fishfood. Congrats
Jesse you are an inspiration! Keep it up!
The realist in me wants to point out these are technically just garbage that isn't yet in the landfill. In 50 years, nearly every disc dot will be thrown out or floating in some waterway. But then again, everything is garbage. Probably best to just lower your manufacturing waste and push the scraps back into the process.
Atlas has been recycling Grip bag designs for years.
This is awesome! I never heard of these till now! But Ill grab a few of these to use and share around! Spread the word to my area if I can!
This is awesome bro! Super stoked for you, for Atlas and for the future of the sport/the earth 🎉😂
The one possible down side to disc dots in general is that they are not on course baskets. Why would you want to practice with something you can’t use on the course or ima tournament?
That was a perfect crescendo to the reveal. Congratulations on all your achievements with disc golf sustainability. It's inspirational.
Hmmm so what is a disc dot? Guess I better go research. Lol
That's awesome, congrats!
I used disc dots on my basket. Pretty awesome
This is fantastic. So amazing to see how far you have been able to bring your vision!
This is so great man what an amazing thing y'all are doing 💯👏👏👏
LFG!!!
This gave me chills.
Yeah boy!!!!!
How is he only 30k subs 🤔
Woah! This is epic!!!!!
Congratulations
Great news!
Congrats
👏👏👏
Great story, glad to see sustainability growing. Side note. I've been throwing Dune for a month and it is THE STRAIGHTEST mid I've ever thrown. Such a great disc. Glad I have a pair.
Awesome news! Rick is a great guy and I'm very happy for you both!
this had nothing to do with the disc dot. i just wanted to say that u can tell a story about literally anything and your story telling/cinema photography is so interesting!! i’m aware of it just don’t know how you do it but just wanted to say good job and keep it up! 👍🏻
That’s sick things just keep working out. 🎉🎉❤
Literally couldn't be happier for your success, bud!
Closing that loop. Recycle baby!
Congratulations on your success brother
Back to the garage.. ahhh, things feel right.
what flavor koolaid this dude drinking jesus.
what a fire idea 🔥
I ask this as respectfully as possible- Why wouldn't you simply use a piece of twine or something thats NOT plastic to achieve the same goal? I don't really see how this is justifiable even if you're only mildly concerned about the environment. I feel like we should be limiting our plastic use overall and this just isn't it.
This is my respectable answer. The plastic being used which is TPU 95a plastic has already been made by someone else and on its way to a landfill. It's diverting the plastic from ending up in a landfill. While also enlighting larger manufacturers to start following the same business models if they're going to continue to use plastic. It is more than the right thing to do. Respectfully answered as best as I know how from what I've learned from Jessie and the knowledge that the trash Panda team has passed on to all of us. I highly encourage you to go back and watch previous trash panda videos that give even a better detailed answer.
Thanks! I definitely watched it. I'm sure you're fairly educated, but the recycling process is terribly polluting and bad for the environment on its own. Therefore, to me that plastic (and all plastics) should be treated like lead - as in use it when you need it, but don't make frivolous things with it. Recycled plastics are a costly resource and I don't think we should encourage people to use it for things like this when you could use something actually good like twine to achieve the same goal. So I still disagree with the premise. I think the product itself is something that shouldnt exist at all tbh, but I'm not going to die on that hill or anything. I'm not judging most folks for using them, unless you build your reputation on preaching sustainability. For me, it's just a hypocritical premise. Like "animal cruelty is bad, but we're way less cruel to these ones and they're already used to being treated like this so it's a net improvement." Obviously thats an extreme example lol. @@erikfickey5033
Since you seem interested, consider researching the ways plastics recycling (and the entire recycling industry in general) is mostly a huge scam and waste of energy. That’s not to say we shouldn’t make individual efforts to reduce plastics use and to reuse plastic items whenever possible, just that you might be surprised to learn what’s involved when recycling becomes business and/or politics.
Oh I'm super aware I work in manufacturing. Sometimes I come off like an asshole though so I'm trying to keep it simple and not be that guy that's like "well actually" @@Flint_Hyzermatic 😅
I agree. You could use anything. But also I don’t see this product as overly useful. I have one in my basket and it’s never helped anything for me personally. Not to mention if you’re going to practice from different angles you need to put them all over the basket. Just my opinion. But seems like an unnecessary accessory. I also suck at disc golf so take it with a grain of salt haha
