it really depends on the project. I like the more intuitive way of matte paintings. But over the time, i actually did more and more in 3D since you obviously have more control. And combined with AI tools you can also the 3d look of plants for example. But for meadows, trees etc. i still like to use 2D aka photo elements.

@@NicolaiBecker I applied to over 300 firms when I did my renders in photoshop and all of them said that they would not hire me because if I leave they won't be able to replicate what I do, to get a job you need to work in a system that your employer can hire someone else and they would be up to speed in no time. sad but true. Add to that real time technologies, Lumion and Enscape and clubbing some imagery together is the way of the dinosaur now.

(Why) Do you prefer using a rendering software for the whole process or doing it this way (render the buildings then add elements in photoshop)?
