@@TheGnash I'm slapping together a LQ9 with 243s I'm porting myself, tbss intake. And a mild light chop cam for my dd 04 Tahoe. I'm looking at the sdpc HT 1 cam. In a 6L, i can get away with keeping stock stall. As for the exhaust, I'm not wanting to spend the $$ on a header system. So looking at the cheap ebay shorties with matching ory. But may do an x pipe and dumps before the rear end or something nifty 🤣🤣
@@charliecadaver666 Look into Speed Engineering headers - very cheap but great quality. I've bought about 3 or 4 sets for different trucks and they've all held up very well. As for exhaust exit, get creative with it!

Probably not, unless your 5.3 is toast. The HP difference is so minimal. Only benefit between the two would be the 317 heads on the 6.0 are better for boost.

Do you think that's a good buy or just buy a remanufactured 5.3 at around $2,000 and maybe cam it and make more power. I would be ok if it had more power then my stock lm7. 5.3 . I wanted to maybe turbo a new 5.3 but I'm not sure about dependability
@@superior3384 All depends on your end-goal. If this is for your daily driver I would just go for the crate 5.3 from Summit. But if you're looking to build it for boost then I would buy a cheaper 5.3 or 6.0 and build that.

How does it handle on turns or when you got a truck like this it’s better to just haul ass in a straight?
Little bit of this, little bit of that. It handles really well on corners, but if a person really wanted it to perform they'd get a 4-link.
