Dean became a far better singer when he got his own show THE DEAN MARTIN SHOW - he changed his style which became far more natural - see him singing on the couch, with just piano - he really shows what a great singer he is --

TheRobweb I wouldn’t call it fake. I’d say that since Dean spoke the dialect from Abruzzo until he went to school it’s what many Italian Americans spoke, broken Italian. My grandparents came from Sicily, their kids spoke “broken Sicilian”.

He physically abused his children and his wife, and then wrote all of them out of his will, leaving it to his 2nd wife, and an adopted daughter. Nasty little man, with a dark sense of humour. I believe that he traumatized Dean over the 9 or 10 years he spent with him, until Dean finally broke it off and told him where to go.
