Really shows how the music industry has become artificial and so lacking. Never will get quality like this again. It's all synthesized, automated, and technical with lackluster "talent" with very few exceptions. Pity but at least we can save these songs on Playlists and keep them going
Agreed but I think you till have to think a little bit positive because things in the past seems always like they were better but you can't go to the past so why won't you make the best of it anyway
@@ame4195 oh I’m not in denial at all, times were still tough. People got sick. People were in pain, had to work hard, couldn’t pay their bills. There was social and economic injustice and inequality just as their always has been. But in terms of entertainment, and culture - this era had class.
Thought Martin and Sinatra were such a more natural match than Martin and Lewis. There was definitely a spiritual connection between these guys. Man I miss them, and Sammy too.
DonDraperism I think that Dean actually had a lot more in common with Frank than he ever really did with Jerry. They both came from similar Italian-American Catholic backgrounds, and were close with their families growing up (as opposed to Jerry, who recounted that his parents would often dump him on various relatives while they were on the road). Also they were much closer in age, being only 2years apart rather than the 9 year age-gap between Jerry and Dean. In fact, they were so close that even their kids practically grew up together, went to the same schools and hung out together at each other’s houses.
Jerry was really a narcissist, and a bully. Dean was quiet, and an elegant, classy person who finally had had enough of him after 10 years, and told him, "you're nothing but a FN dollar sign to me", and stormed off, and that was the end. Jerry was not a nice person at all, and Dean was kind, generous, helpful - but Lewis really took advantage. According to Angie Dickinson, the fights were well known, and she said it was "open warfare". Notable that Orson Welles could not stand Lewis, and same for several others.
@@susantunbridge4612 Talk about somebody taking advantage of someone, Dean Martin was sleeping with Jerry Lewis’s wife, so let me guess, Susan believes in adultery and calls that a good thing, you just told on yourself and what you’re all about, you’re a cheater and very unfaithful to any man you’ve ever been with. You should be ashamed of yourself. Most people would call you a whore.
The Original Bromance. Sinatra was a supernaturally gifted singer; Dino was a great entertainer with a great voice, who was fond of, and completely unimpressed by, Sinatra; Sinatra was usually the "padrone," being fawned over by his entourage, and Dino never did that; as a result, Sinatra was (somewhat ironically) always extremely comfortable in the company of Dino... ...and they really LIKED each other.

I don't know what you guy's and doll's think, but Frank and Dean were, and still are, the funniest gentlemen to ever grace this Earth with their presence.
Its so obvious these 2 fantastic entertainers really enjoyed each other's company and were great friends. The world will never see two such classy singers bond that way again. We were fortunate to have them among us as long as we did. May they rest in peace knowing they brought happiness into every fan's life.
I don't know where these guys are singing, but it certainly isn't a recording studio that controls the tone and volume of vocal delivery. It's clear that Frank and Dean had no need for any artificial enhancement of their vocals. These guys are the real deal! Pure tone, pure emotion and pure feel - every time they sang a song. It's an ability that ended with that generation...
One of my favorite videos of these two. I always find my way back to Frank and Dean. I've been listening to them since I was 15, that was 4 years ago now. Its nice to see them display such class and talent here and still have so much fun. I would've never continued to seek jazz out if I hadn't met artist like these guys.
Frank and Dean....................What a wonderful video. I love it when I can find one that I haven't seen before. We all miss you both. You were such great entertainers and we still love you......BB

You're right, never. That's when it was all about fun for their audience. The audience think it's all about them and what they can post 'live' online now. Or do I sound like a right old kill-joy sh*t.

It simply doesn't get better than this...I watch/listen to it over and over... I just can't stop smilin'... love em both. Hmm... the martini is good too.
I was never much of a Sinatra fan but I loved Deano's super smooth voice, and here you can really see, despite being heavily scripted, just how much fun they were having there. Two great friends having a ball. And I do like how Sinatra sings there, more direct, sincere and honest and less of a 'performance' it's less forced, if you follow my meaning.
I love how Frank sneaks in a “save me a drag will/would you” (in reference to the cigarette they’re sharing) near the end of “I got a crush on you”, it just feels like such a real and human split second moment captured on camera. Like a brief glimpse of how they act with each other off camera, or maybe it was part of the act and I’m just over thinking it.
I love the fact that despite all the money, talent and fame the Rat Pack all clearly had, they always stayed incredibly close and supportive of each other.
You can see how much they enjoyed each others company in this. Its quite well known throughout hollywood that Dean is the only guy that could turn Frank down, probably because Frank adored Dean so much (as he did Sammy).
just the best of all time, I fell in love with Frank when I was 7 and it never changed. Loved them all The Rat Pack, so much talent and you never see quite the same class acts today. So sadly missed but so glad I was around at the same time.
Love this so much. I only roll my cigarettes, buglers. Lots of people think i'm smoking a joint. But it's tobacco, and I pay 3 bucks a pack, instead of the $7+.
Frank Sinatra loved so much Dean Martin that anyone can see it, specially for Dean being also an italian, Dean´s original name Dino Crocetti and for Frank being the only child who needs a brother. If Dean did not die in 1995(78), they would be together until their hundreds but Frank could not stand without his buddy so he also died in 1998(83). Even they were heavy drinkers they could hang on forever because they always have fun together.
Dean was in a league of his own,Sinatra was a bad actor, his jokes were forced,Dean was just natural in everything he did,a much funnier guy, with more charisma,You can Tell that Sinatra was envying him a lot
