For whatever reason everytime i hear or see Dino, i get a smile on my face and become relaxed, like he is going to joke around with me and all of the days problems go away. Something so "familiar and enjoyable" about his voice and demeanor Nobody has even come close to that charm since
Best entertainer ever, one of the best comedians, and one of the most beautiful actresses ever. What's not to love? With those eyes, Natalie looks beautiful even when she sneaks a peak at the cue cards.
"Boy, what he could've done with his old nose!" ROFLMAO - Many know Dean had a nose job after doing some tough boxing as Dino Crocetti...but Bob Hope also had a nose job, due to falling off a tree as a kid. Inside joke, and Dean took it as a gentleman - as always.
His old nose was fine, it was a power nose. Lou Costello apparently suggested getting it done, and paid for it. So many Italians kept their own noses and did well - Sophia Loren, Tony Bennett etc. Deans was broken a few times though
5:15 - Either Hope ad-libbed his line about the pictures, Dean did something off-camera, or Natalie was reacting to a combination of the two because she broke character briefly. She immediately snapped right back into the scene, because of the consummate professional she was. The woman was a goddess that we were never worthy of...sigh.
love Dean but wonder what Frank said about the earring????!!!..wonder if he heckled Dean about it????!!!..wish the whole show could be up like it was one time wasn't Dean the sexiest thing ever???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cherilyn Hannen You can find the whole show on youtube by googling Bob Hope show with Dean Martin, Natile Woods air date Oct 8, 1959. Also the Crosby kids ( Bing sons) was on it. Hope you are able to find it. It is a hour and half show
Sherry Hannah Sinatra was a bully. Dean was one of the few who stood up to him. They were not speaking when Dean died. Sinatra was a talented guy, but a jerk.
@@laurieschmidtke7632 I agree. It is difficult to describe, but my 30-something daughter said "He is smoking. They must have grown him in a lab." She's got good taste, like her mother.
@@sassyt1545 sinatra was a bit of a busybody, but he was NOT a bully. He and Dean were closer than brothers, and gave each other beautiful watches and jewellery as gifts. They fell out after Dino died, and Dean couldn't cope with performing and grieving his son, but got back together again. Frank was unable to go to Dean's funeral, as he was falling apart with grief over his death, so his wife went. Sinatra liked to Party, but Dean did not, and he didn't party if he didn't want to.
Go and watch Wings of Pegasus on youtube, where Dean Martin's voice is professionally analyzed, and so is Frank Sinatra's. One analysis they were singing together. There may be 3 or so video analyses on Wings of Pegasus, worth a watch.
Norman Lear said that Dean could have him laughing in stitches just by doing something funny with his little finger. Dean was always funny, just not slapstick. Lear said Dean competed with nobody, but Lewis competed with Dean constantly. To the point where he would be on the floor in fetal position and they'd have to call his doctor. Jerry did not have what Dean had. Not a hope Lear said that he left after 3 years signed on as a writer in 1950, but 3 years of Jerry Lewis' control freak attitude was enough for him. Too bad Dean didn't go wit him
Ok. He was handsome and good singer. But his acting was horrible and his comedy is absolute torture to watch. Why did he do comedy? It wasn't his bag. He should have stuck to singing and modeling.
I Don't care what Dean sings he is singing to me. Love Him.

AB: Probably the kindest compliment I've ever seen.

Absolutely “The Very Best”!!!
This was real comedy. I was just born way too late to enjoy it firsthand.
Awesome! I loved it.
What a beauty was Natalie Wood.
C Dream she was nothing to write home about. I put her at the same ranking as Molly Ringwald
From my view, my eyes, perception & preference.. I think she is magnificently beautiful.

These two were the kings of ad-lib.

Bob Hope never made a joke about Bing Crosby's toupee.
I have a classic Roman nose..Romin’ all over my face (nyuk nyuk)🥸

There was no man and still to this day more handsome than Dean Martin.

The man is married to Natalie Wood and he needs to read "Lady Chatterly's Lover"? He's a sick, sick man!
Overall, considering his entourage.. i wonder how dirty Dean Martin really was, in the end..
Funny
Funny.

Dean didnt
His Italian is fantasy - basically Marx brothers
jealous?

J O Dean was just getting started, early b&w. Later he did great standup.
Hate to say never thought about it but your right but I did like him in westerns
Dean was an entertainer, a jack of all trades, master of none.....triple threat is a better word to describe him
Dean Martin and jerry lewis are one of the greatest comedy duos in history you don't know what you're talking about
Youre stupid or jealous or both but you are entitled to your opinion which is wrong.

Toos van Es This was probably taken from Bob Hope Special.
