I personally really like the "Clone Wars Republic Heroes" game which I have in PS2 & Xbox 360 libraries, a faithful game for those that enjoy the wonderful animated series. I have & love the other fantastic 6th gen original Xbox games in the series, terrific memories around them & the terrific prequel films!
Star Wars: The clone wars: Jedi Alliance on the DS was an underrated masterpiece. It was a unique story and featured all the DS unique features like the touchscreen, it's working speakers and sensor control. The definitely was put a lot of love on this little game by the developers.
Me and Matty had the same childhoods. I am so wholeheartedly thankful and appreciative that this awesome video exists; thank you so much man, you bring me immense comfort.
Wow! I used to play the Star Wars Jedi Alliance on my DS when I was a young kid (and massive clone wars fan), it was my favourite game but I lost it and never played it again, and I even forgot what the game was called - until this video! The nostalgia is crazy, what a game man
I remember having the duel lightsaber game for the Wii and it was pretty amazing back then and still probably is today but back then it was always cool to play with friends if you didn't whack them on accident with your controller 😂
10:51 the GBA version of TMNT was actually pretty fun from what I recall. Although, it is the first and one of very few beat-em-ups I've played so there's that.
Theres a 5th Clone Wars Game that should get some mention as well. This one was released in 2002 and was the original set up for The Clone Wars Multimedia project (of which the microseries would be a part of). The Game is simply just called Star Wars The Clone Wars. has a lot of the old early 2000's style gameplay but was a fun game as well.
Matty as a Star Wars fan just to give you that small push to finish Clone Wars there was one interesting episode with Yoda (I think in Season 5?) where he goes to a particular planet you would remember from the KOTOR games. Also wow seeing those Clone war games, brought back the strong nostalgia playing them when I was young. That DS game in particular I do gotta shout out because it was so well designed, and had a lot of neat ideas (could not beat it though as a kid and got very frustrated xD, may have to try again now).
My son was about 6/7 when Republic hero’s came out. We best that game probably 10 times. He’s a die hard CLONE WARS fan. He’s a teenager now. He still plays that game on occasion . He loved it.
If it makes you feel any better, I don't think anyone should blame you for not being fully caught up on Clone Wars. Love the show as I might, I think a lot of people forget that 7 or so seasons is not easy to fully keep up on, especially especially when the show can vary in a lot of aspects. People love and constantly build up some of the better arcs for sure, but I see so many arcs often get left unsaid or not as fondly remembered. Take it from someone who also grew up as the target audience back when it was airing, no one can blame you for understandably needing to take a break. I only really finished what I missed after the show finished on Cartoon Network and moved to Netflix. I haven't seen the last season either since they moved it to Disney Plus, even though I've already seen Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi as they came out. Clone Wars is great, but it is no doubt a BIG commitment, especially if you actually want to take in every possible episode. It's arguably why I was glad Star Wars Rebels (also by more or less the same team btw, so go check it out, I feel it gets heavily overshadowed by Clone Wars, it even wraps up some things Clone Wars didn't get to finish itself before they brought it back to wrap it up itself) ended after 4 seasons, it didn't burn itself or its viewers out before it could wrap itself up or got cut short.
I used to love Jedi Alliance when I was a kid and I used to think there were some secret things you could unlock, like I thought there would be a way to play as Yoda and Luminara because they have models in the game, and I thought you could fight General Grevious because he's in some concept art I was also always surprised that Republic Heroes on the Wii and DS were completely different games. The console versions had an original story while the DS version was adaptations of certain episodes or arcs, with a few original levels, like there's one where Padme helps Cad Bane break out of jail, or Luminara fighting Grevious in his lair.
Republic Heroes was the first T rated game I was allowed to play and my mom would only let me play it for 1 hour a day. Always funny to hear it talked about as a kids game from everyone else.
I love Jedi alliance growing up, it was an amazing game I replayed so many times playing as different character combinations, ds republic heroes was also quite good
Disney Infinity 3.0 had a Clone Wars themed campaign that was made by Ninja Theory. Considering the Clone Wars characters already looked like toys, it suited the game to a tea. Would have been fun to have your opinion on the campaign
Oh I remember republic heroes. I played it at a friend's house and we had a blast because the game was so broken. Some of the jumping didn't work. And getting the droid riding to work was a pain in the ass and you can only imagine who funny it would be if your friend kills the droid as soon as you get on top of it. I'm a terrible friend. I also managed to soft lock like 4 times in one play session 🤣.
Matty bro, I absolutely love the retrospect channel. But I wish you wouldn't base your content on whats currently trending. Of course i totally understand you need to generate as many views as possible but we have had so much star wars content on this channel already. If you are going to base the content on whats currently trending, I wish you would make a second video on something you are actually passionate about. I say this with love bro. Would love a retro look at Chronicles of Riddick - escape from butcher Bay!
If you continue to cover star wars games you should cover the RTS ones such as empire at war with its expansion, galactic battlegrounds and its expansion, even force commander though that's not one of the better ones compared to the other two I mentioned. Empire at war is done by petroglyph which is the remains of Westwood studios the people who did command and conquer, and galactic battlegrounds while I can't remember who did that it uses the age of empires engine for the most part.
For the Skywalker Saga I get where you're coming from about the serious moments. It handled the comedy as well as ever but the series moments just lack the weight of playing them straight or the charm of the Lego games. For a much better execution of the idea, try Lego Lord of the Rings. It's also fully voiced but the cutscenes use voice clips directly from the movies, with all the weight and gravity they carried mixed with the music exactly like the movies. Works remarkably well, while retaining the charm of Lego but also becomes utterly hilarious in plenty of parts, the contrast of these top notch Hollywood performances coming out of the Lego characters is genuinely hysterical in more dramatic scenes.
When i was in middle school i remember asking for Star Wars kotor and i got star wars the clone wars republic heros. Needles to say i was disappointed.
in my opinion, id say the ds version of republic heroes is extremely fun because it just worked a whole lot better compared to console and i always have fun picking it up again
Republic Heroes wasn’t that bad. It definitely doesn’t hold up today, but, there were some dope concepts tho. I really loved DS game Jedi Alliance. Kinda tricky when you use the Stylus and stuff, but pretty good game. Lightsaber Duels I have a guilty pleasure for because it was an attempt at making a modern Star Wars fighting game. But, unfortunately that game doesn’t hold up either. God I want a new SW fighting game already.
On a handheld console called a didj which is a leapfrog brand they released a clone wars game. Which was not so good that asked you to solve simple math equations.
Does anyone know the names of the actors in the commercial that played in the beginning of the video, I know who he is, I just can’t remember his name. Thank you!
I remember playing Jedi Alliance and Lightsaber Duels as a kid. I eventually gave my copy of the latter to Gamestop for a measly 75 cents. 😂 I still have my copy of Jedi Alliance to this day and still occasionally play it. Good stuff. Lightsaber Duels could use a good remake now that Clone Wars has a lot more content to it. There's a lot more to draw from now than just the first season
Finally. A video that introduces the DS game Star Wars The Clone Wars Jedi Alliance to the world. It's one of my all time favorite DS games of all time. I still play it to this day. If you have a DS, you HAVE to play the game and give it a try. I HIGHLY recommend it to all of you.
@@EverlastingAura1 Agree to disagree. I LOVE the game. It was my child hood and as I said, I still play it to this day. But I can see why you say that. It can be awkward to play a game entirely with a Sylus but still.
I really wish they made more games based off the series especially as the storylines got better with later seasons
I want Aspyr to make THOSE Games with the Same Engine.
frr
Right, they could make entire games just focused on one story arc or battle in the clone wars
I personally really like the "Clone Wars Republic Heroes" game which I have in PS2 & Xbox 360 libraries, a faithful game for those that enjoy the wonderful animated series. I have & love the other fantastic 6th gen original Xbox games in the series, terrific memories around them & the terrific prequel films!
me too, i have very good memories of playing it with my little brother
I like Republic Heroes for feeling like you were playing through a lost episode of the show.
that game is trash
I remember it being good on wii so I got it on xbox... then went and played both versions.... the wii version is waaay better and less clunky
I loved the Lego version of the game and played it millions of times on my 3DS on car drives. Good memories
Bro watching a 2000’s decade add for the Nintendo Wii almost brought a tear to my eye

clone wars season 7 is peak star wars, get it finished man!
A soul calibur style Star Wars game would be amazing
Wow! I used to play the Star Wars Jedi Alliance on my DS when I was a young kid (and massive clone wars fan), it was my favourite game but I lost it and never played it again, and I even forgot what the game was called - until this video! The nostalgia is crazy, what a game man
this channel really is like my spirit animal. I swear Matty we could have been the same person growing up
Don’t feel too bad, I just finished the clone wars this past weekend. Finish it up, season 7, especially the end was so good!
It's crazy what meth did to Badger
I remember having the duel lightsaber game for the Wii and it was pretty amazing back then and still probably is today but back then it was always cool to play with friends if you didn't whack them on accident with your controller 😂
Jedi Alliance was my first ever DS game and I absolutely loved it as a kid
Bless up last stand for introducing me to this man
I remember playing Jedi Alliance as a kid. Loved it!
10:51 the GBA version of TMNT was actually pretty fun from what I recall. Although, it is the first and one of very few beat-em-ups I've played so there's that.
It’s always a good day when there’s a new retro rebound to watch

I’m pretty sure he covered that in another video, this is about games based on the 2008 show
I liked the ds title it was surprising to have full 3d and voice acting in a ds title. The emphasis on touch screen stuff does hurt it a bit

I had it on PSP and loved it! Great memories with this game
Swear that badger from breaking bad in that ad lol
I loved Lightsaber Duels on Wii as a kid and I still find it enjoyable to this day!

Me and my brother's childhood was replaying the weapons factory level in Lego clone wars
You will like Republic Heroes on the DS. It’s very similar to Jedi Alliance.
I played Jedi alliance to death, and I cannot tell you how much fun I had with it when I was a boy
I remember playing Clone Wars Adventures MMORPG. It's kinda like a downgrade version of SWTOR but I still enjoyed it during my childhood
Yeah, you need to continue through the series, it is so good! I watched it for the first time 4-months ago and I am so glad I did.
i am pretty sure i played both games back then on PS2 and DS incredibly underrated titles!

Dude star wars has so many damn video games i discover theres a new one that exists every week
I remember playing Jedi Alliance as a kid! I think I liked it but I'm also pretty sure I got stuck at some point and idk if I ever finished it lmao.
Republic Heroes really just should've been The Force Unlashed with a Clone Wars skin
Awesome, my friend. 😍 💕 Thanks for sharing. 👍 Have a good day. 🤗✨

Jedi alliance is awesome. Sai sircu is one of my favourite star wars characters
i used to love the clone wars game on the 360
Shoutout to the RepublIc Heroes DS version. It's a completely different game with a different story and it's more in line with Jedi Alliance.
Episode 3 was and is the best. Rogue one would be a close second, and then this series is my third favorite. So much greatness in that timeline.
Jedi Alliance was my childhood game.
i love that game back in the day Star Wars the clone wars game it was really good 👍 ! and i do really like the tv show to and i am big Star Wars fan !
Republic heroes is so nostalgic for me, honestly watched this vid to see it. Didn't realize how trash it was in retrospect lol (:
My son and I played the LEGO STAR WARS 3 CLONE WARS nonstop.
badger playing a star wars game , amazing
Jedi alliance was my entire childhood.
17:44 this is like the nicest thing somebody ever did

When you realize Badger from Breaking Bad is in a Wii commercial 👀
I played LEGO Star Wars 3 on my Wii as a kid. It didn't run great and it looked like ass but I still enjoyed it lol.
Republic Heroes wasn’t that bad. It definitely doesn’t hold up today, but, there were some dope concepts tho. I really loved DS game Jedi Alliance. Kinda tricky when you use the Stylus and stuff, but pretty good game.

I'd love to see a video on games like jedi power battles on ps1 and the phantom menace
Was that Badger from Breaking Bad in the beginning of the commercial from the video yes good now we're skinny Pete or whatever his name was
On a handheld console called a didj which is a leapfrog brand they released a clone wars game. Which was not so good that asked you to solve simple math equations.
It's weird seeing badger from breaking bad in a star wars commercial
Does anyone know the names of the actors in the commercial that played in the beginning of the video, I know who he is, I just can’t remember his name. Thank you!
Can you do a video on transformers devastation I love that game
I hope we get a proper clone wars game or bad batch game in the style of the show
0:16 the add has badger from breaking bad
Come on Matty. You gotta finish the show. The last two episodes of the series is some of the best STAR WARS made.
Don't feel bad for not finishing Clone Wars yet. I didn't finish it for me until late 2020.
All these star wars games, but mass effect is calling my name... lol
Holy shit I played so many of these as a kid. I remember playing lightsaber duels with my babysitter 😂
Soul Caliber also had starkiller!
12:14 “And then you break the ds”
I remember the ds game just hurting my wrist
I had it on the ds I liked it
he’s saying 10 dollars is cheap but CEX has games for 50p and £1 and even with exchange rates it’s cheap!
Matty… you better go back and watch all of Clone Wars in chronological order my boy
Petition Aspyr to port THESE Games.
Wait wait what was Badge from breaking bad doing in that Commerical???😂
Finally. A video that introduces the DS game Star Wars The Clone Wars Jedi Alliance to the world. It's one of my all time favorite DS games of all time. I still play it to this day. If you have a DS, you HAVE to play the game and give it a try. I HIGHLY recommend it to all of you.
Game sucks but yeah I also have nostalgia for it
@@EverlastingAura1 Agree to disagree. I LOVE the game. It was my child hood and as I said, I still play it to this day. But I can see why you say that. It can be awkward to play a game entirely with a Sylus but still.
