I've been using Line 6 platforms for my bass playing and home studio work for a number of years now. With all the new platforms coming out, should I change?

No problem. I’ve heard it said by several people on RUclips that Quad Cortex was the most powerful multi effects processor on the market. I guess if you hear it enough from multiple people, the tendency is to believe it. I’ve also heard things about seamless preset changes that were not accurate. Both the original Headrush Pedalboard and the Headrush Prime can seamlessly change from one preset to another. Of course, the Tone Master Pro can do that as well. I’ve owned all of these multi effects units, so I know from experience that they have that capability. I currently use the Tone Master Pro. I’ve sold all of my other units. For me, I think the Tone Master Pro is the best all round solution. It works the way guitarist think. It’s the closest thing to using actual amps and pedals that I have found. Of course, all of this very subjective. We like what we like. Life would be boring if we were all the same. I appreciate what you do on your channel. Take care. 😎🎸

Great insight.. Marketing is everything - the first thing you see on the quad cortex site is "The Most powerful floorboard amp modeler on the planet", while Fender are pushing "A Universe of Sound". My guitarist has recently swapped over to Tone Master Pro as he believes it works/sounds better with his Fender guitars.
As you say, very subjective, and controversial. Thanks very much for your support.

I like the helix hardware and the UI a lot. I just can't get behind the quality of the amp modeling from line 6. It just doesn't sound as realistic as kemper, quad cortex, or fractal (fender tonemaster pro doesn't sound great either). I'm still rocking kemper for both guitar and bass amps, and it's still one of the top dogs. Love it.

The Tone Master Pro has an 8 core processor. And, the Headrush has a Quad Core processor, so the Quad Cotex is definitely not the most powerful multi effects unit out there.

Hey!! Thanks for the clarification, I certainly didn't get that from their website.

Which cores, though? Like, a modern 4-core i3 will run circles around even a 16-core Xeon from 2010.

Towards the end you suggest that other units may sound better than helix. Based on sound alone what do you think is best?
