    I think if I didn't hit that little bush sticking out of the ground it may have worked. After if hit the ground it kept trying to dive left. Back to the drawing board!

      @@capnhardway yes, definitely enough power. I think part of it was I hit something on take off. Then the safe seemed to pull it to the left.

    Hola amigo . Como tomas el CG de ese avión ?

    • @FlyTimeRC
      @FlyTimeRC  Месяц назад +1

      It's the same as any other tapered wing. I average out the cord width and then measure from the front of the wing back about 25 to 27% of the cord width. That gives me the cg. Thanks for watching!

      Thank you so much! So this plane I made up as I went and since it broke on my first test flight I took the parts to build another plane. But I'll have more build videos on some of my new planes coming soon. I'm glad you enjoy them, thanks for watching!!

    The angle of the motor may be the problem? The plane I call the Aeroscout wing plane started out as a pusher. No mater how I adjusted the motor it never flew worth a crap. I gave up and put the motor on the front and it flies great, lol. Hope you get it figured out…. I really like that design…. I still haven’t figured out how to reverse the elevator throttle mixing.. I’m thinking about going live and hopefully someone can help change the mixing or reset it back to the original Aeroscout setup…

      @FlyTimeRC  2 месяца назад +1

      @@EJ-74 I think pusher planes are very sensitive to the motor location. I got my first one right. I'm not sure yet what happened. Maybe my motor was just slightly off or it was safe not calibrated just right. I'll try it again one of these days. I hope you get your mixing figured out. Id try to help if I had the same set up.

    Been there. Forget the prop. Go to a small hill
    and learn to glide first. Hand launch into tall weeds.
    CG Might be Way off.

    • @FlyTimeRC
      @FlyTimeRC  2 месяца назад

      @@chrishollands5257 cg was about perfect. Maybe the motor was mounted to high or low. Or maybe something got tweaked after it hit on that first take off. I'm going to revisit the design again soon and make some small modifications and see if I can get it in the air.

    Very frustrating when you put so much time and thought into a design, then it just doesn't perform as you wished. I've been there many times before. Based in my observation, you already know how to fly. I would suggest STOP using SAFE. You already have it down good enough. SAFE and AS3X has destroyed two very nice airplanes of mine in the past. I actually prefer not having SAFE any more. Actually removed it from my E Flite EXTRA 300. Much better. None of my scratch builds have it. KISS. Keep It Simple Simon.

    • @FlyTimeRC
      @FlyTimeRC  2 месяца назад +1

      @@gisall8205 I've had SAFE cause a couple crashes before. I just like to try to use it on more unique designs like this. It could have been that. It could have been my motor was just slightly off where it needed to be. I feel like it should have flown great. Ohwell I'll try again with that design with some tweaks later on.

      @ Every build, you and I learn new personal shortcuts on assembly. My big problem is that I always Over build. Which makes em super strong, but heavy. I’ll send you a channel to check out for inspiration. The guy builds great airplanes. I’ve learned a lot from him.

      @gisall8205 this design was definitely a lot different than anything I've built. It's always trial and error!
