-/swēt/.
Stephen Lam ˈswēt is how Merriam Webster transcribed it. We have always followed Cambridge or Oxford in the way we transcribe these words.

Tiffany, the “incorrect” way of “administrative” and “demonstrative” that was mentioned here is the “correct ” way to pronounce them in the US.
Both are correct: Presentation - American pronunciation NAmE /ˌpriːzenˈteɪʃn/
Actually, in the US, it is prēˌzenˈtāSH(ə)n/
. It is a long E sound, just as the same as the verb form; present. If you pronounce the short e sound, it will be sounding like a (birthday) present.

我以前老師都有教presentation, suite, mechanism, tentative。
留意到有好多人讀錯嘅字: lounge contribute, contribution, distribute distribution, pedestal, information, pronunciation, almond, Cambridge, 尤其係lounge, 好多人讀錯launch, 有次打去航空公司同有次問機場服務台，佢哋竟然都讀錯!
另外，有兩次聽4:30衛生署聯同醫管局匯報，個男醫生連COVID-19都讀錯，好離譜！
慢慢講～需要時間深耕細作
我以前讀錯的一個字是 vehicle 因為它跟 vehicular 讀法不同。
我覺得英國的人名、地名所以 silent H 因為 h 之前的字母連起來快讀時， h 根本是省略了一樣。
Ve'hicle has the stress at the first syllable. Vehic'ular has the stress at the second. But the H sound is not silent.

If you really want to improve or learn English, BBC and Discovery are the best resources. Trust me, I start learning English at 16 because my family had to emigrate to the US. After our arrival, for 3 years, I was struggling with this language that I had known nothing about. I was depressed and afraid. But one day, it is like suddenly waking up with an angle whacking me with her wand. I started watching these two channels because the people who produced the shows were highly educated professionals or journalists. I watched BBC for their reporting style and sentence structure and I taped (Yes, a VCR recorder) the program to watch over and over again for correct pronunciation. For Discovery, it was a science and technology program. So between these two shows, my English needs were covered. As time goes by, I began to love this language. I spent the next 10 years studying linguistics and sentence structure. I must emphasize, this is a long-fought battle, not just a few months, but years to get to a point where I can comfortably say " I know English better than the average Americans".

There are only 2 syllables of the word Tottenham ˈtɑtə nəm (the 4th character ˈə' should be a superscript). Learn the pronunciation of Tottenham at 5:55

You are rigght.This is the biggest problem with most HK people learning how to speak English. For some unknown reason, they are either unable to pronounce the alphabets correctly, or they naturally have problems pronouncing these sounds with their tongues. I have heard people say " Lancy" but the name was "Nancy". The "N" (nose sound) is pronounced as L, that kills me! In Cantonese, there is no such sound as "th" and for many, this is not an easy sound to pronounce. So the easy way out is to use the "f" sound, for example, Can you get me some-fing to drink? Or Can you get me some t-ing the drink? I have heard both, depending on where they came from.
Genre 是從法語借用，又如Renaissance, buffet 等。
我覺得第一個要教嘅就係教香港人讀啱Z個發音先，不論美國音或英國音。
重有, 香港可能中文發音系統既關係, 似乎好多人分唔出walk/work, 分開教果陣唔為意(讀錯) , 中小學老師又無特別提點(佢地唔會特登竪起隻耳去細心聽 , 遠聽又覺得舊音好似一樣, 咁就算學生讀錯左, 老師都唔覺)

雖然自己已經在英國留學過, 英文都好Fluent (IELTS oral 8), 不過好多真係錯了都唔知 (可能反而讀番啱對方會聽唔明)

您仍然讀錯administrative, 第一個音是“əd", 不是“ad" , 你讀得有點像"add"音般，可能因爲串法是"admin" 令到很多人都讀錯。

Don't make too many excuses as so many learners are counting on you. If you want to be survive on youtube, please be more professional. Though as you mentioned, i might make mistake too, but do some substantial research before presenting can definitely make you lives more easier.

Tottenham嘅音標係 ˈtɑtə nəm (第四字 ˈə' 係上標), 只有2個讀音。問過兩個英國朋友，佢哋話讀兩個或3個音節都可以，但现時嘅人只讀2個音節，可能係啲人越嚟越懒！而如果講球隊熱刺，同中文一樣，只講Hotspur就得喇！
