I purchased a Mooer Prime P1 and F4 bundle earlier this year on sale. I thought it would be a useful portable rig, but it turned out to be much more. I was going to use it for practice and a backup rig, but after tweaking and hearing it in a mix, I decided to build a rig around it. I have 4 banks of 4 presets. All patches are set to unity gain, with the leads set louder. I use a wireless from guitar to P1, and use the headphone out with wireless in-ears, and the output goes to the stage mixer. not experiencing any latency. Sound can be tweaked at the stage mixer if needed. That's it. My rig just has the F4 on the floor. The form factor and sound are great for me. For a future product I'd like to see Mooer put the P1 "guts" into an all-in-one, "F5" footswitch, so the entire rig is in the footswitch. If they created a similar Prime P1 rig that could host VST3 plugins, it would be perfect. I have a computer rig with several guitar plugins, but only need one: PolyChromeDSP McRocklin Suite. It's more complex than it needs to be.
That’s awesome! The Mooer GTRs guitar is literally the whole rig in the guitar! I can simply use that in live situations alone, or with the F4. I reviewed it here: ruclips.net/video/SJnbM1OI-qE/видео.htmlsi=VB0SsBqvOgiFjTEY
@@sunlns I have a small wireless rig built around it; I connect the P1 to a small wireless USB hub for power so I don't risk it running out of power. I haven't had any issues with it so far. I'm actually "testing" my computer based plugin rig, with my main plugin PolyChrome DSP McRocklin Suite, and a few others. I use Blue Cat Audio's PatchWork as VST host, with a few utilities (noise gate, gain, EQ,...) so I don't have to go into the plugin patch. It's working great so far.
im trying to get a digital setup for live playing. I personally have the meloaudio TS Mega and BiasFx to play along with it live. Many have suggested against it since its not reliable live as my ipad or iphone might run out of battery or might hang. thats why Im looking at prime P2 as an option. Also another thing is would the prime P2 work with my Meloaudio TS Mega controller. Also whats your take on this with your experience testing out the computer setup ?@@zoomzoom3950
I’ve owned one since they came out. I use it to play live both acoustic and electric; bought a second one to handle both. I have a GTRS pro as well and these awesome devices simplify gigging life 😊

@zoomzoom3950 just curious to know if its reliable in live shows if you've been able to build a rig around it yet.

Looks like you may have your wish come true. Mooer released the S1 Prime which looks to be exactly what you described.

Awesome! I haven’t personally had the occasion to use the GTRS or Prime P1 live yet but it is clearly a winner in ease and portability!
Looks like an amazing value for the money, just ordered one based on your review 👍
Hope you like it! Many have replaced their rigs with this little thing…
