Ha 1978 : Gibson tube screamer and a fender twin and a Gibson “the Paul” walnut guitar was Al I could afford and sounded damn good
Its amazing what you can so with such a small device (thats what my wife tells me)..
I went from a headrush mx5 to the core this Christmas and its amazing how great these things are nowadays. Have a great year with much health and success.

I know it'd be way too time consuming, but every time Ola shows me a new amp or modeler my first response is "man, I wonder how that sounds in a mix?". I'd love to hear a simple demo track to get an idea of the possibilities with devices like this Mooer. I'm actually super-impressed with what I've seen here as far as the actual sound from that lil thing! Amazing!

I have the Blue Pandora box by Korg. I don’t use it much because of new gear I’ve gotten. It still works tho, and helped me be able to play my electric any where since the late nineties! Thats why I stick with Korg and Boss, they make reliable and great sounding gear. 🎸
I had the korg ax30 g during the 90s. awesome unit
These are selling at $249 in the States. Sounds good enough in the video and it has more available effects than the new Kemper Player and more amp models than the Fender Tone Master Pro.
I also really like that it has a drum kit

It's amazing to see all the options there are now compared to even 10 years ago.
I started with a Zoom G1N that I used for live gigging but never for recording since I really gravitated towards amp sims like LePou ones or Amplitube.
Now I don't have the money to get a Quad Cortex or a Mooer GE, but I got a Matribox 2 and a M-Vave Cube Baby for live gigging and sometimes for recordings and they are just amazing!
Someday I will get a Quad Cortex,, but for now these entry-level multi effects pedals are all I need.
I have been waiting for this to arrive since the first Mooer mini-format digital amp sims were announced. I liked their sound but found it daft to have DSP hardware that could play all these models, but then only have it do two channels on what is essentialy multi-fx capable device. This is that + IR, and then much more. I got it ASAP from China. The included battery and stereo out, and vocal processing that isn't mentioned in this quick review make this my go-to device for busking, and at this price will more than pay for itself in a single sunny weekend.
It's a good time to be a guitarist. No doubt older heads remember when there were only a handful of companies making gear. Now we're spoiled for choice and competition in the market leads to more affordable equipment for us. Happy days.

I use the Pandora 20 years ago and cut a three track demo by rewiring it into the back of my Panasonic shelf stereo. I played and recorded on the one cassette line. Then I played the cassette back and sold it over it.
It came out amazing

I love a big rig, but I also enjoy silly tiny rigs. For the price, this unit sounds like tons of fun. Thanks for testing.
This thing does load profiles so its like a kemper player for your pocket. Some of the profiles for the MOOER units are solid
I love my P2! I've been using it with an old phone case clipped to my strap like a wireless system and it's been my go to since i got it! I got the best DIME tone using an IR out of this thing! It fucking rocks!🤘
Have been using Prime 1 since its release, pretty cool, very handy for rehearsals so you don't have carry a bigger pedal(s)
The fact that its midi controlled is an absolute mindfuck! Amazing how far we've come for our modelers. 2024 is looking intense already !
And the new Kemper Profile Player has no Midi, really unfortunate
I have the P1, and have had it for more than a year and a half at this point, and I gotta say I love it. It's pretty much the same as the P2 minus the IR and the extra amp capabilities, also you are stuck with the factory pedal order, but it's also less than half for the unit and the footswitch (which is the exact same)
What a convenient way to bring and use for a jam session.
Mooer makes good stuff. I had one of their multi fx pedal and it was a very good!

A long way from my Vamp 2. Still use my Vamp 2 from some things.
Moorer does have some cool ideas. I have a number of their products. I do worry about the quality sometimes though.
It's essentially the same as one of those Chinese MP5 Players you get from those middle of nowhere convenience stores, except it's made for guitarists.

Okay this rips.
One additional thing about the wireless switching if you leave the unit at the back: you're missing a tuner at the front of the stage. It really feels like someone should publish a standard for that (the Axe-FX for example transmits tuner info when you engage the tuner so midi controllers can display a tuner remotely)
I believe there's a small led screen on the footswitch device that shows the tuner

I've had a P1 and F4 for a year; just ordered my P2. I hope Mooer continues this line of gear, I'll be getting the P3 when it's released, and so on.
I had that Korg thing back about 2008. It was very useful and didn’t sound too terrible.
That little thing & wireless switcher are pretty rad!

super useful for me, i was bringing my trio+ and a small speaker but this way i wouldn't even need acces to power, charge my little speaker, charge this thing and i could take it anywhere.
Seems like the ultimate solution for whenever i'm going to Goa India to travel & play gigs there with my mate, just bring this along in a backpack & buy an electric guitar there.

I have one P1 and love it.... For what I need to do.... It's amazing.... Almost cable free....
So i recently got the footswitch for the P1 thinking it could be a useful basic backup rig (and after many reviews were titled as such). Its appears that this is WRONG. The GWF4 pedal switches between presets - NOT effects so is pretty uselss on its own for live use (solo boost/clean etc) as there's a delay between switching presets. I'm guessing the midi input on the P2 can get around this but without some much needed firmware updates, the GWF4 is only good for changing presets in between songs and looping/tap tempo. Little surprised no one has mentioned this.
sooo you can't set up how it's going the work on preset level? that sucks

I have the P1 with the footswitch its awesome, I think it would be great with the spark cab because you have usb-c power supply and you can rock out non stop !!!
Could you have the wah wah effect on the p2? If you can, how could you manipulate the wah wah?

Haven't really tried the iRig HDX. So I can't help in this matter unfortunately.

Meh, 250€ for the same old same, 90% of the sound is in the IR (and the player of course 💀)
I hope Kemper updates their rig manager to be more up to date like this app appears. lol. Love all these modelers coming out.

I've got a Mooer Radar still. Great little cab sim pedal. These small companies are leaving Line 6 behind now, it seems.
Cool I think the footswitch size would be a problem for me though 😂I have to space out my pedals on my live board as the risk of hitting 2 buttons with the size of my feet is 1 in 2🤣

This probably is great when ran into an amp. I tried the P1 version back in October to replace my Line 6 POD that died, hoping to use it for headphone practice. But never used anything but headphones And unfortunately, there was no 'headphone' mode/preset which would've been really nice (room reverb helped a bit). Volume levels for headphones were all over the place, 'master volume' did not live up to its name. Can move the signal chain around, but not really edit it (Hey, I might want 3 delays). I wanted to love it as it had some great sounds, just didn't fit what I was looking for. It is SO damn close to being great, if they updated the software it could be awesome.

I think this would be great for a novice/beginner guitar player. Could probably run it through your home stereo. You seem to get all the effects you would ever need and on the cheap. How much would you pay for all of the functionality in the 60s or 70s?
I've got big feet.Could probably stick switcher on guitar and use palm or fingers to change patches.
What a glorious time to be a musician. For the price of a shitty practice amp and two mediocre pedals back in the day, you can get modeling, multi-fx and IR loading that frankly, sounds exponentially better than anything I played through well into my teens!

Cool concept.. way too much high end for me though. But that clean sound was the best
Probably a matter of taste. As always, besides the IR selection, we have the tone, presence and eventually some additional EQ controls in the signal chain.
But what really counts the most for me here is the quality of distortion (smooth sounding power chords or intermodulation harshness reduced to minimum; just like in well-designed tube preamp). The convenience of a small, portable modeler could really be a deal maker.

There's no aux in for backing tracks. If you need them to stream, you still have to buy a mixing interface.

You know your old when you were walking around with a Rockman attached to your belt and shredding on an Ibanez DT250.
Could you see yourself actually playing a gig with this? Like, taking it out as a backup to your main rig, and actually playing shows with it if necessary?

I can’t wait until the norm is to just have something like attached to your belt no wires just a little doohickey. The first one of these I ever used was a Pandora's Box, back in 1999 or something, I have a Line6 Pocket Pod now, but with the latest in modeling now these units can hold up. This is a little pricey, but its interesting. Mooer modeling has been decent for a while now, my question is will this load Mooer profiles? If it does I'm getting one the second I find the cash
