    Is there a latency when switching effects on and off or when changing presets?

    Great video, thank you.
    I’m interested in how you would set up the banks for ease of use in a live situation. Wondered if others are too?

    got mine about 2 weeks ago and its pretty good as a quick rig/pratcice/headphone thing.
    took it to rehearsal last week end and it held itself, nothing extraordinary but it works

      That's good news! Considering the price of the unit, the sounds and functionality it's a pretty strong package. Have you experimented with third party IRs? They can certainly help

    Would love to see a Positive Grid Spark Mini review from you.

    • @ctgblue
      @ctgblue 3 дня назад

      I have the spark, the mini, and the go, by far, I use the mini the most and travel with it. Get's decently loud and the software is quite good, once you get the hang of changing stuff. Frequency response is good, but remember, it's got only 2 x 2"" speakers, so bass is not prevalent, but is good for fun, practice and entertaining a small crowd. I also use it for music and 'white noise' for sleeping in busy hotels, like I'm heading to in Vegas next month.

    I love Mooer amp/cab sim technology and effects but I have to say (as a mooer products user) that I dont understand why mooer hasn't come yet with a "Mooer Stomp" with better connectivity and routing. Of course, Helix did it, Ampero did it, even Valeton too. Love your reviews! You always get great tones! Cheers!

    It seems like a pretty neat unit. I was hoping the Mooer site had specific details about the effects that were included.

    Gotta say, the tones in this really didn't wow me. I wanted to like it as i think it's got a great form factor, but those tones sounded like modellers from 20 years ago. Great demo as always gent 👍

    • @KaiDown
      @KaiDown  4 месяца назад +1

      I didn’t mind the stock amps+cabs, but this unit does open up some more when you use IRs (something I opted not to do in this demo for simplicity’s sake). Cheers for stopping by!

      @@KaiDowni got one of these based on a hype in Guitar ... I have to agree with that poster, the tones are pretty Chinese crap, a bit disappointing as the Mooer mini pedals are fantastic. These things dont have bypass which is shit when using with an amp. You can assign fx and cabs to the pedals and turn them on or off. What is IR?

    Was thinking of buying this. As I have few band with different genre, was thinking of using it with a basic band setup. Does it work with live performances? Latency of switching effect?

    Thanks for the new products, but I’m still waiting for the MS 50G+ in depth review as you promised :) I’m really curious about the sounds of the amps compared to the previous version but I guess it’s actually the same. Probably I have to wait the MS 80 IR+

    • @KaiDown
      @KaiDown  4 месяца назад

      I've been thinking about it a lot - it's been sat on my shelf ready to demo, but I don't think I'm going to do the full review on it. It's not something that fits into my rig or my workflow, but I am hoping to pick up the MS-70CDR+ which should be much more my speed. I think the lack of cabs and full amp models killed the 50 for me. My apologies if you were looking forward to it. It's something I'm still thinking about, but I don't love the idea of going in knowing that it's going to be a downer

    • @filtermat
      @filtermat 4 месяца назад

      @@KaiDown that’s ok, I think I’m going to buy the MS80 IR because of the lack of cabs in the MS 50 G+ as you said

    • @KaiDown

      Prime P2 + F4 footswitch is a much more versatile setup with better tones available, but S1 is a more cohesive compact unit

    Hi Kai, I am interested in this pedal as well. How did you feel compared to mechanical pedals? Worth it?
    Thanks,

    • @KaiDown
      @KaiDown  3 месяца назад

      Tough to say really - buying single pedals puts you into a long rabbithole, you'll constantly want to buy more accoutrements and it can be an expensive path. Modellers like this S1 are "buy once" kind of deals - you'll only need to spend money again when you feel the time is right to upgrade.
      In terms of sound quality, I'd say this unit is most of the way there, especially if you're just jamming at home.

    • @KaiDown

      It doesn’t have any acoustic-specific preamps, but I’d wager you could coax a nice tone out of it with some acoustic IRs, compression, EQ and reverb

      I was planning to buy the Tank G. What lead me to buying the S1 instead is the user interface. Mooer Prime's interface is a lot easier to work around than the Tank G.
