Liv Tony was a like an effy who had the same views as the world as her but decided to make do with what he had and used the people he loved for fun while Effy pretty much did the same but not for fun cause she was scared to be loved or be in love so she put those feelings to the side

I always imagined that Tony and Effy had an abusive babysitter when they were younger, and that their parents went out alot. They learnt their manipulation tecniques from this babysitter and eventually overthrew her. But the trauma of how she treated them, and their parents arguing made them who they are.

that would make sense. their parents *were* out a lot, so a babysitter and learning from others around them would make the most sense (along w inheriting mental disorders).

Tony is that character you love and hate at the same time. Hated Abi, Loved Maxxie, Liked but sometimes was annoyed by Michelle. Loved Syd but got annoyed by how oblivious he always was about Cassie's problems, or his overall lack of concern. I loved Jal. Anwar was hilarious. Chris was amazing. Angie, well I disliked her. Sketch was crazy, hated her. Did I miss anyone?

I agree that Tony is narcissistic, but I don’t think he’s a sociopath as many has noted. I think he acts out because it will keep people around him on edge and give him attention. His mom and dad do not have the capacity to give that to him and Effy, so he seek that validation that he matters everywhere else. We saw that even before he was hit by the bus, he was ready to openly share his true feelings towards Michelle. And we saw how he reacted when Effy was in danger. So he’s definitely capable of those emotions, but he puts his own need and entertainment above everybody else’s because I don’t believe he ever had a proper adult figure to mirror sympathy through. Which also explains why the closest person he cares about was Effy, the only person that was brought up in the same background and they understand each other.

Idk if the acting is good or bad, I'm thinking the latter, but I like how the dumb blonde was telling the brunette she was crazy and over emotional, yet she got enraged after she rightfully slapped her and said she needed her medication.
You can see at 1:27, that Abigail (blonde chick) is struggling to stay in character, yet they keep the cut edit in the scene anyways.

We can see that Tony prefers to reject his family issues through several sexual adventures. His smart/manipulative but he lacks in sympathy and affection to the ones that care on him doesn’t seem to affected him because he never depend on parents. Later on we can see character development when he get hit by the bus. His mind resets its self and becomes more conscious about the things that he has. “You don’t appreciate the things that you have until you lost them” Season 2 it’s a great example. Despite the fact that he need sid to feel inferior and without him he has no one to compared himself.

Casting somebody with perfect skin would be less understandable. And “skins” is a reference to rolling papers used for cigarettes and spliffs. Not actual skin.

When I was a teen, I thought this show was genius. When I've seen it lately, I realised how pathetic it was. I don't know who wrote it, but he's overly obsessed with sex. The contents are problematic for youths and even adults. I barely survived the first chapter and it made me roll my eyes like a million times.

The writers do relate to how accurately teenage life in the UK is represented because they're not teenagers anymore and haven't been for a very long time and are completely out of touch, especially considering how much has changed in the last 20 years. How do you know whether this show is meant to represent?
