I could've really liked Jen if they hadn't made her a homewrecker. Shaun and Noa weren't even my fav couple on the show but i cant deny that they were the most solid. Noa was so out of character this season. Cheating on Shaun was wild, not caring that she was cheating on him was wilder, barely thinking twice about choosing Jen over Shaun was the wildest. After everything they went through??? Made 0 sense to me.
And her friends?? Not holding her accountable for cheating on Shaun hit the nail on the head for me. That was my breaking point lol
i mean she was confused in shaun and jen, moreover shaun's mom keep giving her very hard time, while her mother was in rehab and she had to attend the summer and work while solving mysteries with her friends, that's a lot, and with jen she felt more alike, shaun was a good guy no doubt, but he and his family didn't suited the situation noa was going through, so yes it was wild, but i think it's fair for her, while she already cheated shaun since the juvie.
@@allesbians all true, my only issue with all of this was how it was written. Shaun’s mum giving her a hard time is a valid enough reason to push her away but I wish they built more on it. They showed us Shaun’s mum being a bitch but Noa would mostly just go along with what she said. I get she was being hosted so she couldn’t really fight the mum but she also just never really complained about it to Shaun or her friends. So it just didn’t seem like it was that big of a deal until she was breaking up with Shaun and mentioned it. Cause then i was like “oh that makes sense but if it was that bad the audience should’ve been able to guess that in a heartbeat.”
Also your last statement is crazy for what I hope is obvious reasons but that’s what makes it even worse. She cheated on him in juvie but we didn’t see any sign of remorse last season. You can tell the writers threw this together in season 2 so honestly my question is why on earth didn’t they just have her cheat in s2? I get they were tryna give substance to her decision to choose Jen since for some reason cheating needs to happen twice for someone to be sure they’re in love or whatever. She could’ve cheated this season (dont condone it but from a writer’s pov), gone through the motions of it, distancing herself from Shaun, guilt, all that stuff and she could’ve officially gotten with Jen next season. What was the rush surely?
Finally i dont understand what made Shaun unfit for the situation Noa was going through. Jen handled it well, I’m not denying she was fit for the situation. In fact even more so than I expected. But Noa didn’t even attempt to tell Shaun. Shaun was always ready and willing to be there for Noa whatever she needed. He wasn’t given the chance to. Not to mention Noa busting his car towards the end like that??? That was so insane to me because it’s like he didn’t really do anything wrong. Yeah he approached Jen but he didn’t hurt her. Out of anger he left a hole in the wall but that doesn’t justify what Noa did. If the tables were turned and Shaun was the one who cheated, by all means, bust up his car, but imagine if Shaun retaliated by leaving a hole in her wall when he was the one who cheated? Everyone would be so pissed. That one was purely a gender double standard.
Why is it that in every movie this girls playing in her family is broken, her mother is in prison or she’s been 🤣

@@allesbians At least the last time Ava had that storyline, her girlfriend was Gretchen Weiners. So Gretchen was able to get Ava her own apartment because her family still owns toaster strudles.
Of course there is a love triangle involving a guy. It wouldn't be a lesbian couple without a man somewhere in there.

@@allesbians I feel like this is not a good representation of bi people. As if they cannot commit to one gender, but the need to have both even if it means cheating. But i guess where else do you create drama in teen tv show if not in relationships.
