This is practically an lgbtq type of a movie that you won't feel the shame. It was done beautifully that you see two people falling in love, expressing themselves not in lust but in a pure loving way. The actresses that portrays emily and sue are both terrific and amazing that they realistically brought us to their own world
I relate so much. We broke up because her family can’t accept us, society cant. It’s been 7yrs now and she has her own family already with the guy (our classmate) who verbally harassed me when we were in high school about our relationship (she didn’t know that) . I still care for her, and I know she will always have a special place in my heart forever.
i'm so sorry. life has it's own ways of healing everyone wounds, but life is also very very shitty. maybe one day you both can have your closure. I highly doubt that she is unaware of your feelings towards each other. stay safe.

Shit. This spin-off from Pitch Perfect is very interesting. Emily aka Hailee Steinfeld gets stuck in the 1800's due to time travel gone wrong, now she has to work with her musical talents and the others around her to get back to 2021 so that she can make it to the next Bellas performance!
I always liked the poetry, but after watching this series, reading emily’s surviving letters to sue, and learning how many poems were written to Sue with references excised by a nervous editor-Austin’s mistress- you at least know that the family believed they were more than friends. I’m convinced Emily was in Love with Sue.

Sadly before she died most of the personal letters that this two people exchange in those time didn't survive as it was burn by susan they said it was something emily request to her, perhaps because those letters detail their relationship.
I wanted to knock Austin upside his head since the first episode why would someone marry their sisters bestfriend "girlfriend" just because you don't understand her. And then when he uninvited Emily from the wedding because sue was crying over her poem made me despise him even more because that was just cruel . but he has his moments ngl

They are so cute to get together ! Even though it's a period TV show, but the dialogue are so modern.I think it's a good thing, because it makes the story be less sad. I have seen too many lesbian period movies end up tragically and that really kills me.
