How does your front windshield already have the blackout shading for the compass mirror, though? Standard is just the single black circle with the wrong 2 "prong" mirror connector/hanger...
@@LessFunctional I'm wondering if 2006-2007 models came like that and the 2008 models that have the partial s-line trim don't... All of the models I've picked parts from have been 2006, and have every option, so I'm not sure what's up with that, but they've also had the compass mirror with the integrated rain sensor for the windshield connection, which is different from yours...?

My windshield is oem; never replaced.. this is how it came.

Mine has autodimming but compass is not showing up, is there a chance the mirror is not equipped with he compass? Purchased the audi some months ago
Try holding the button on the mirror.
