@@YaredTadesse-pu7yd I personally don't think we really have MORE intellectual people than other generations, I just don't really think we have that much fewer.
It's so refreshing to see a self improvment video from a young guy that explains his ideas kindly, without insulting his viewers for their current lifestyle Edit: anyway i would like to thank you bc in the last month i implemented the ideas expressed in this video and i actually saw significant improvements in my mental state. Thanks!
For these past couple summers, I feel like I’ve been wasting them. Now, I’m trying to make the most of the limited summer vacations. I garden, am currently working in being able to do a handstand, working on a film, made homemade croissants, and I’m learning a new language. I plan on exploring the world around me, and making the most of my time.
Hey last summer I started working on the handstand as well! It took me almosr 1 year to go from being scared of even doing a 45° "handstand" facing the wall to being able to freestand comfortably. Hope your journey goes well and remember that the most important thing is to stay consistent and practise regularly, constantly trying to get out of your comfrot zone and searching for tips online to improve your form and drills to get to the next level!
I'm also someone who always likes learning new things and this summer my goals are: reading my own list of interesting books I found when I was busy with school, reviving my sourdough culture or making a new one at worst, getting good at voleyball, starting to draw a little better than mishapen dinosaurs, enjoying some vacations with my friends or my family and of course looking for even new stuff to enrich my life with. Glad to see I'm not the only one who's striving to improve every day and trying to live life to the fullest.
woah ur 16 too? i’m so glad there’s people my age appreciating life like this, it’s very refreshing, i wish everyone stopped caring about cringe stuff and just appreciated what we have :)
DUDE YOU REMIND ME OF OASIS (the band)!!!! i’m a 15yo girl and i’ve been struggling for a bit to do new things and get out of bed, but your videos are actually helping me sm. i’m already planning to do something tomorrow morning, maybe go in a park or take some pictures around. keep going with the channel, you’re doing amazing tbh
summer goals as a 16 yr old: - hit gym - train for basketball and plyometrics - make a film - travel alone - eat healthy routinely and learn how to cook - jog daily - learn skills (video editing, social, table tennis, carpentry, crocheting, drawing, calisthenics) - journal, study, and write - create experiences - grow out hair - discover cool, old places - part-time job
this video came at the PERFECT time, so far this summer (for me it started last saturday) ive - babysat my neighbors kids - made lunch for my whole family (new recipe!!) - made macarons and they ACTUALLY were good and didnt fail - went on a picnic with my friends and played frisbee - started reading harry potter 1 in french (ive studied it in school but i suck at it lol)
From now on I'm gonna change myself: 1. Waking up at 7am, start sleeping at 10 pm 2. Training 15 min in the morning 3. Fixing my back 4. Learning French 5. Learning English (advanced), watching movies in this language 6. Learning programming 7. Smiling every day 8. Working on my self esteem Hope at least any of them come true till the end of the summer
Goals for summer/Bucket list 1. Actually learn style/get some new items 2. Memorise fret board/learn solos 3. Practice new drum grooves/fills 4. Go on a hike with friends 5. Get lunch with friends 6. Go to hotel with friends just to be somewhere 7. Try new thing each day yea
Alright, when summer ends in the second week of August, I want someone to remid to come here and ask me to confirm if i achieved everyhting that im about to write. These are my goals for the summer. 1. Journal daily 2. Learn guitar 3. Find a cool place in my neighbourhood 4. Write a comic book series Totally forgot to update this b it bi wanna say that this was the best summer ever, I had so much fun hanging out with my friends and I did so much cool stuff for the first time like paintball. I didn’t actually end up hitting any of my goals but I had so much fun that I don’t even care, currently I’m on the “winter arc” and I’m having a blast. Thanks to all of you that came here to remind to update.
This is a good idea! Know that I already put a date in the calendar and in the last day of first week of August I will come here in comments and ask what You achieved!:) Wish You all the best
@Aatlar Hello again :D I found a website "Time And Date" and also did a countdown!! Untill 06 August You have 64 days and 12 hours, IT IS SO MUCH! Yeess I believe You will do everything You want!
When I was younger, I loved sitting in my room all day and playing video games/watching RUclips. But now, I’m getting really tired of it. I’m homeschooled, so that’s basically what I do all day everyday, even though I live on a beautiful property. Hoping I can change that. Cheers to making this summer awesome 🍻
U should start writing a book or journaling. I’m not homeschooled but I have tons of free time and it gets my mind going and it opens up the world because I’m always taking away features from that random person at Wendy’s and stuff like that. It’s rlly fun
Never let this wisdom go. I’ve been out of college for a little while now wishing that I could’ve applied this attitude to my teenage years, but it’s important to remember that you only have the present. And no matter where you are in life, it’s important to make the most of what you have and find joy wherever you are.
i've never felt so called out in my life by that intro 😭 i fr start treating summer like the new years and come up with a lot of resolutions that i never finish
Haha I'm glad we could relate tho I would recommend start doing something right now no matter how big or small so you immediately start instead of putting off into "someday" Keep me updated please!
i think that people, regardless of age, need human interaction to build anything meaningful in life. the way he talks about applying for jobs is not just about earning money or being productive; it's about sharing stories with friends, creating good memories, and learning how to live our lives. despite his young age, i personally learned a lot from this video. it's about being human and living life to the fullest. it's so sweet
This video went by shockingly fast; you managed to make a 12 minute video feel like 5, because I was genuinely so engaged. Thank you Tim! This is awesome and I love your enthusiasm.
I’m 19, this is my first summer out of high school, and I’m struggling with summer approaching. It feels so weird not to be on the same schedule as the first 13 years of my life, especially since I’m doing a summer semester at university. Still hoping to make the most of it. Keep it up dude
Another great video! Seriously i love these things. I came up with a little craft for summer or any school break: It is a few jars of things to do in the summer, and every day a shake the appropriate jar and draw one little paper, and i have to do that thing that day. I have four jars for different categories. Rainy (if its raining that day) Busy (if i have to work or i have other things planed that day) Vacation (anything i could do if i was on vacation) and Normal (these would be the most time consuming things meant for days where i have very little or absolutely nothing to do) Its purpose is so that you're never bored, and have something to do each day. 1. Count how many days of summer you have. If you dont know exactly, then just estimate based on when you started last year. 2. Write down as many things to do to as there are days of summer. You are going to cut these out, so make them smaller and leave some space! Write things like "learn a new recipe" or "go outside" or "paint something", whatever goals you want to accomplish this summer. While youre doing this, think about the categories each task could go into. Like make sure to make a bunch that you could do on a rainy day, or a day when you're busy, etc. *Remember to make more for the special categories than for your normal jar.* For example, say you ran out of things from the normal jar, and decided to do simething from the rainy jar. You draw, and you got "bake something". This works because you could bake whether it's rainy or sunny. But say you run out of the rainy jar and you have to draw something from the normal jar. If you draw "take a long 30 minute walk", thats not gonna be so appealing if its pouring outside. So make more for the other jars than you think you need to, cause you could end up using them on a normal day and it would still work. 3. After cutting out all your papers, sort them into separate jars for each category. I would suggest either getting jars that dont look alike or writing the name of each category on their respective jar so you don’t get them mixed up. 4. (Optional) You could write the number on all the papers in the order you came up with them. It doesnt really serve a purpose other than seeing how all the numbers mixed together. I also have a card that i write the date, then the number of the challenge that day and then at the end of the day i check it off if i did it. It helps keep me accountable so that i dont just forget about the whole thing. Also DONT THROW THE PAPERS AWAY!! You could reuse some, or all of them on your next break! I hope you try this! Ive been having fun with it so far. Also dont feel bad if you cant complete one. You could always do it the next day, and even if you dont end up doing it the whole summer its not the end of the world. You still did better than you have previous years! Ask me if you have any questions!
Me and my friends are gonna make the most of the summer, as it’s the last season before one of our best friends leave, so we are all having as much fun as possible I think this summer will be the best one this decade so far for me
I really truly admire the way you carry yourself. You have such an admirable personality, i am 16 as well and have never met someone like you and I am happy to see that there are boys like you with beautiful souls💗
Okay so no excuses for the rest of summer break and here goes my bucket list for this summer 1- start painting 2- exercising every morning atleast for 30mins 3- sleeping and waking up by fix time 4-post 5 videos by mid July and making videos about things I'd love to 5- hanging out with school friends 6-dance and sing twice a week 7- learning a skillset consistently 8- work on my language skills 9- writting whenever I want to 10- tidy up and reorganize my study space and also some decor
Actually,I pretty much did half the things •writting •singing and dancing •reconnecting with friends •reduced my screen time by almost 90% •and deleted my social media account that used to waste half my time @Timofey41 @@holap2104
I genuinely cried watching this video. I've been dealing with mental health issues for awhile now and seeing this video made me much more optimistic. Thank you about that even though it will take me time to actually start doing something (that being connected to my mental issues) I will always have this video in the back of my mind. Truly thankful :)
It’s a little sad that you have to work so hard and plan for it to have what was a normal summer 15-20 years ago. I’m happy I had a childhood without too much internet. But it’s great that you realized this and have a recipe to fix it, I’m impressed!
I’m preparing for summer and i really wanted to use a diary, so today i bought a plain one from the store and tomorrow i’m going to paint it. I really love your videos, so please don’t stop making them, and thanks for the advice
Hello💎 I don't know Your time zone but I can be sure when You'll see my comment it will be already tomorrow for You👍. I like Your idea to paint a simple diary, in my opinion it is really creative. I wish You all the best, wish Your day will be light and full of happy moments:D Don't forget to make what You planned! I think You are cool💪🏼
@@crazysnowmanvibe Good, the cover’s finished, though the last days shit’s been going on so i haven’t written as much as i would’ve liked, but hopefully that will change from now on
thank you so much timofey for this video!! everyday of summer so far has been boring, I definitely spend way too much time inside. so today I looked up parks or trails near me, drove there, and turns out I really love running!! i ran 3 miles today. i drove around afterwards, finding cool places i never thought were near me. i also applied to a couple of jobs :) todays been the best day of summer so far!
When you said to write stories about things I did it reminded me of when I started making comics based off of true events in my freshman year of high school. I stopped right before summer started and haven’t really written anything in a while. I just graduated and still have a sharp memory of key moments that happened in my 4 years, so I’m really glad this video made me remember the book and I still have one last summer before actually becoming an adult in college.
You give me such happy vibes, just by talking about these topics in the nature. Keep going!!☀ (I cant wait to listen to your stories at the end of this summer!)
hey im 14 and i randomly found your videos one day and bro the advice you give out has been helped me make my life more enjoyable and actually improve a lot i thought i needed to wait till im older to start making content but seeing you make such good quality stuff at this age has really inspired me to finally start my channel thank you
summer goals as a 15yo -Continue my exercise streak (currently on day 8) -improve my piano skills -learn guitar -learn spanish (at least the basics) -find nice spots in the city -keep cycling regulaly -learn how to enjoy my time alone -write a comic/novel -go back to journaling -be kinder to myself and my family members -cook with my mom more often so that I'll learn how to make her incredible dishes -keep crocheting -keep reading my physical tbr and make a kind of reading sheet -study (I may not be able to do everything perfectly but it's okay as long as I do my best I think it'll be pretty fun)
@Timofey41 so far it's been pretty great , im exercising regularly, cooking, reading, learning spanish , crocheting and i started a common book place, I'm currently taking a break from studies and will go back to it next Monday, I still didn't fix my guitar tho so I didn't do any progress there , as for the piano its going well. I'm trying to watch more movies to take inspiration so that I'll be able to write that comic. Im kind of struggling with my screentime tho and i sometimes find it hard to stay consistent but its okay
Im 18 and i wasted my whole life on my phone since i did not have any friends before, i also broke of with a friend but now i want to move on and make this summer summer, this my list of what im going to try this summer: 1.im going to pass my driving test 2.go out with family and friends 3.trying to crochet 4.improving my art 5.skipping for exercise 6.less screen and watching only positive and useful videos 7. Go to therapy 8.find a part time job 9.helping my family and being grateful of them 10.talk more 11.learning italian and etc. 12.sleep early 13.reading books
I usually dont comment on videos but this video was special so i had to comment. Its summer break and i realized that all my days are the same. I wake up, use my phone, eat, sleep. That's my daily routine. I want to try something new. The only thing that is holding me behind of the things i want to do is my phone. I wish i never had a phone, i remember begging my parents to buy a phone for me thinking having a phone would make my life better, but in real, it made my life worse. This summer, i want to enjoy my summer. I will be a complete different person when school starts. (people actually call this a ''glow up''.) So, i just want to tell you that your video made me realize that im just wasting my time as a teenager. Best years of my life. I will never go back to these times when i get older and i'll say ''I wish i knew the value of those days'' and regret everything i did and didnt. From now on, i will appreciate my teenager years. Thank you for making me realize every opportunity i have. Have a good day. I also subscribed and liked your video, i will be your supporter from now on:)
your awareness and love for the little things in life like simply enjoying nature on a saturday is so refreshing… i’m 16 too and most teen boys at my school are the complete opposite from you and it’s sad
I’m so glad I got to watch this video at 16 years old as well ! I feel like this summer I also had this kind of revelation that I was tired of staying inside all day doing nothing and being bored, while I could spend time with my friends, go outside, even by myself for a quick walk while listening to music. I appreciate and try to appreciate more and more these small things that are way more important than they seem, and we don’t realize it but they do make us happier. Thank you for this video, take care of yourself and hope you’ll have a great summer ! Remember everyone, enjoy being a kid as much as you can ❤️
Summer goals: -Get into acting classes -Workout more -Eat more Healthy(BE HEALTHY) -Make more friends -Journaling -Ask out my crush -Get positive friends -GO OUTSIDE MORE
I usually don’t comment on videos, but I have to leave this here to further say what others have said. You truly do have the best self improvement channel I’ve ever seen. I have nothing but respect for the way you communicate your thoughts and ideas respectfully while not seeing yourself as better, or degrading others lifestyles. You have my admiration. Keep doing this, I promise you in time your genuineness will attract millions.
It's two years as I'm not in school anymore, but actually working full-time job, but I found that video very useful non the less. I think the idea of "homework for life" is brilliant, there's so much going on in your life, that's so easy to dismiss or forget. Writing those down would be a wonderful way to see how full your life really is!
I love this video so much. I'm 16 too and I don't want to waste this summer like I did for all the others. So I made a little list of all the cool stuff I want to do this summer. Might help if you think there is nothing interesting to do inside or outside where you live : - practicing my hobbies : I always loved to draw, but I don't have much time during the year with school and stuff. Same thing with writing, swimming, cooking, playing music... During the whole year, I tell myself that I will have more time in the summer, and then with summer arrive I just... don't. I say "I'll do it tomorrow" and the whole summer pass before I could practice more than twice. And then I regret it. This is dumb ik, so don't do the same. - urban exploration : okay that one isn't very legal, but I'm pretty sure that none is going to tell me anything if I go on that mountain near my house, walk half a hour and arrive to the abandonned house there. Just be careful to not get hurt, and go there with someone just in case. Try to inform yourself about who own that place and eventually get an autorisation. It is fun and you can take great pictures. - sticking all the drawings I made in my school books in a cool notebook : remember what I said about not having time to draw ? it was a lie, I draw 7/24 in english class. So instead of throwing my works of art away, I'm going to create a beautiful notebook ! I bet I'm not the only one who make beautiful drawings when I'm bored in math class and who get an art block when I'm finally in front of a real paper, so I'm sure I'm not the only one who will do that - learning languages on duolingo : I have a 465 days streak on duolingo, but that's for english and I'm already pretty fluent at it. But I also learn spanish at school, and that's where I get my lowest grades. I will work more on it, and I might try to learn italian too. Having at least a few skills in a foreign language can be usefull in everyday life, and it doesn't cost more than a few minutes in your day. Plus it is a cool flex - visiting museums (I'm not a nerd I swear-) : ngl most of museums are boring asf. But some can be very interesting, especially if your guide is passioned. Just try it, it is just one or two hours, what do you have to lose ? - exploring my (or my grandparents') attic : last year I did that at my grandparents' house (which is very big and old) and I found so many old stuff ! 100+ years old books, newspapers from WWII, family pictures of when my parents weren't even born, vinyls... not everyone has that of course but I bet you can find at least a few interesting things. Maybe invite your friends, it can be fun for them too - watching videos about science/history : there are tons of amazing youtubers that teach you so much more than school and still be interesting and fun. I know it isn't exactly what will make your summer interesting, but isn't it still better than endlesly scrolling to find more memes ? - listening to new music : right now, there might be a band, an artist, a song or an album that would instantly become your favorite one if you listened to it, and you wouldn't even know because you always listen to your 800 songs long playlist and never anything else. I don't know for you, but that idea keep me awake very late at night - going on walk in the city/nature : walking is cool because you exercise without even noticing. There are a lot of beautiful but simple places everywhere. Just walk, explore, take pictures, have fun with your friends or alone, and look at the world - read outside your home : there are probably some parks, forests or other quiet places where you live. You can just go there with a book (I personnally read a lot but I don't have much time during the year + I always do that in my room, at 11 pm while waiting for my friend to answer my texts. Reading somewhere else is at the same time an activity I'm used to do and a new thing) Anyway, that's just a few ideas. Maybe you already thought about those, maybe they aren't things you can do where you live, but again that's just ideas, I just hope someone can have fun with them :) Happy holidays everyone :D
Damn this is a good video- I’m in the UK doing my exams right now, but this has made me look forward to summer soooo much. I swear sometimes school makes you forget that there’s life outside of exams
It s a good thing to see a person with the same age as me, not just thinking about games and girls... I just got a home from a cardio session u can say and it was so enjoyable and it made me happy .
For me, summer is in 11 days. Im so glad I managed to find this video, because if i didn't I would waste another summer just playing video games and endlessly scroll. You're a real one dawg
Its so awesome to know that Im not the only one who has been feeling like I haven’t been cherishing my summers. Im 16 too and I’ve been thinking about getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things. Thank you 😁
ok this is crazy, i literally subscribed as soon as the video started and damn!! i’m 16 too and i swear i would have never imagined that you’re 16 too, most guys our age (at least the ones i know at my school and city) would never talk about this stuff that can really change a life and make people feel better. please keep on going with these videos! thank you for your kindness, i hope more people start to think like you :)) 🫶🏻
When i was 16 i was a little addicted to gaming. I had my online crew and we played for hours but also my group of friends and we always chilled together. Once my friends and i wanted to go out and do some nice things but i said i feel bad and chose to play video games for hours instead of going out. My friends send me videos of how they had fun and all cool things they did. On this day i promised myself to never choose gaming instead of socializing.
things i’m gonna do 1. read a book in spanish 2. find ways to earn money 3. go to the beach 4. draw more/improve 5. journal 6. sew more 7. workout daily (already doing) 8. go with my friends and do stuff 9. read more books 10. find new style 11. do those stories u said!
when you said you were 16 i felt more motivated to change some things in my life, seeing someone your age enjoying their life is actually very helping and refreshing
i’ve been getting super into self-help and video essays for awhile, but today was the day where i actually started. i did a workout already and some yoga, made myself some potstickers for lunch and i’m having a little cool down time to do some art while watching some youtube simultaneously. i’m gonna go on a walk in a bit and sit down and read my book, play some pokémon go on the way, and i’ll probably visit the park at sunset, return home for dinner, help with the dishes, and watch a show with my mom. texted the group chat and we’ve been bouncing back plans for a photoshoot picnic so i’m looking forward to that! i’ve got a trip in europe planned with my family and some relatives out over in cali so i’m super pumped for that, and my photography & journal is gonna be crazyy. i’m not wasting this summer 💪💪 edit: summer’s over and school’s started but my photo gallery is so full and i’ve made lots of good food!! europe was GORGEOUS (we went to a bunch of different countries) and i’m back on my daily walks and little art and music sessions with myself and others :)) i ended up going back to my old elementary (primary) school and repainted a mural i helped out with awhile back, did some camp counseling, and now i’m getting into the groove of freshman year. so far so good, and i’m staying on top of my assignments, but i’m hoping to make a good art portfolio by the end of this school year, so i’m losing a little bit of sleep on that. other than that, it’s been insanely good. stay strong ya’ll 💪 💪
All my school year i kept thinking about summer. I promised my self to get the best version of my self but now im in home scrolling, watching netflix, never going outside and over eating. I felt like a failures because i didnt do any thing that i told myself i was going to do. I always postponed the date that i was going to start improving myself. But now im aware that 2024 summer is only going to happen once. I dont want to waste it and i want to get a better version of myself!
That's great advice! I've kept a journal with generally rough writing in it. Not until recently did I start to think what if I wrote in a more polished form? I already write so many private entries in the journal. Then I started expanding into chapter length for some content while poetry and metaphors worked best for conveying other ideas. In some ways I don't know why it took so long to couple writing with the other types of work I do like web design. Yes, it gives you practice for when the subject comes up when you are in person with someone too!
I’m turning 16 this summer actually, and as all the comments have been saying it’s incredibly refreshing to see like minded people acknowledge the world around us, and I appreciate your sharing of knowledge continue to encourage others towards the right mindset to lead a fulfilling life :)
I’m about to be a sophomore in college, but as someone who’s tried taking advantage of every single summer as much as possible, this is spot on! I love your outlook, and keep up the good work!
Bro I love your channel. I just had that same realization that I just shouldn't waste my time by being inside all day doing nothing memorable. I'm trying to make this summer as memorable as possible. I wish I had this realization earlier in life but I'm making the best out of it.
Thank you for this! Ever since I started working in a lab, it took up most of my evenings including the weekend. All I would do for the past three months was get up around noon, cook and eat, watch videos and wait til I had to go to work. I’ve been wanting to do the things I love like reading comics, gaming, watching shows, etc for the longest time but I was always focused on my job. My problem is just getting started tbh. Well….its time to turn it around
Goals for this summer 1. Get lifeguard certification 2. Get my 50 hours of driving 3. Consistent exercise schedule 4. Become better at my trumpet 5. Swim the perimeter of a lake
@@Randomguy12773 Idk..In my opinion I think that sitting all day in the house is not the problem,I mean I actually enjoy sitting inside my house,I can do a lot of stuff like reading, drawing and learning..I prefer enjoy my time in my house than going outside because I really have nothing to do outside,I cannot just go hanging out around the city or something because I'm not that free..but maybe you're the opposite, there are a lot of people cannot feel like they enjoyed their day if they didn't went outside and stuff,I was just giving my opinion,I mean it's not about where are u it's about what do you do,wherever you were..
i’m 16 as well and feel the exact same, i’m so glad people my age are having the same thoughts as me. i just joined the discord, i have high hopes for a good summer!!
i’m about to be 18 this summer and i always love my summers because i spend sooo much time outside wether it’s solo adventure or with friends great video btw keep it up !!!
Okay instead of doomscrolling all day I’m gonna learn new stuff and write them here 😮 1. Start journaling (I didn’t know how to journal,so I just wrote stuff from the days I found the most interesting.so far I have like a 34 day streak) 2. Read at least one book and write a book review (I read ‘The Gone World’ and it was great honestly) 3. Go for a walk with every morning - 20 day streak 4. Go somewhere I’m unfamiliar with, alone - I went and explored a lake near my home 5. Learn how to dance (haven’t tried this yet 😢) 6. Find stray cats near me (I’ve been wanting to do this for such a long time) - I FOUSN ONE TODAY IT WAS SO CUTE 7. Learn new songs on the Piano ( forgot the titles of the songs, but I learnt 3 new songs) 8. Talk to a stranger at my tuition (I did! We became friends)
probably one of the best videos someone could actually watch tbh, I've started going on more walks, reading more, going out with friends more and honestly I'm feeling better than ever. Doing the little things drastically change how we feel not even just during the summer but all year round.
@@Timofey41 been going to some parks almost every day but yk just always alone. i tried speaking to people at my school. most of them think im “weird” or “emo”. i got one guy to talk to in school tho. he just doesn’t want to hang out with me after school idk why.
Not sure if this is helpful, maybe you’ve already tried it, but have you tried talking to people who look nothing like you? I was in high school decades ago and one thing I remember was kids thought they had to hang out with people who dressed the same or liked the same music or games, or came from the same ethnic/immigration background, etc. But this is so limiting, and you can’t learn about new things from people who are the same. Just be yourself, and be open to people from all groups, listen to people (most people are NOT used to anyone listening, will ❤ you for it), and…don’t expect rejection. It sounds weird but expecting rejection makes you approach people differently, and makes rejection more likely. The secret to high school that you figure out when you’re way older is that nobody really fits in, they’re all just clinging together for survival, lol. If you’re shy, volunteer for extra-curricular stuff, if you can, I found friendlier people in volunteer activities, it’s a good way to break the ice with people you might never normally talk to, plus it’s something to do. Hope that helped, best of luck
I'm glad your making this video because just this year in school, i realized that I actually want to start learning python code and making more youtube videos, but I dont have enough free time and schools always putting stress on me. We only get so many summer breaks in our life and it's important for us to use them. I'm also 16 and I think if all of us start using our summers to be productive, we gonna make it really far in a short amount of time. Everyone, please don't waste your summer away, you won't feel good about it.
I'm moving from Irelans to Poland, Irish summers are longer and I would graduate at 17, but in Poland summers for school are shorter and you graduate at 19. I was really angry about it but you made me realise that in Ireland i barely go out since the weather is so bad, and the longer I stay in school the more free summers I get. Thank you.
This was my last year of school. After I finished with my exams, I started feeling bored, thinking that life has no meaning anymore. I can't thank you enough for this life changing video. I will make life worth again, and it's going to be because of you ❤
Call and do activities thru there. If others are already busy communicate with them that u want to set time aside for the both of u, or try out new things by yourself
this is absoloutely perfect. im 14 and have horrid anxiety and literally never go out, which i dreadfully regret of course.. this year im tryna change for once, and this video has helped me so much. Thank you man !!!!
I almost never post comments ln youtube but this video clearly deserves it, i just realised that even though i was doing good habits (working, hitting the gym etc) i was inside my house all day long and i felt really lonely. This video was like a wake up call i really loved the energy that you gave and i will definitely hang out and experience new things during that summer
Such a great video. i've been a boring person my whole life, doing nothing but staying at home and play video games. every summer i spent was at home, doing nothing but rot in bed, in social media or playing video games, even if i was on vacation with my family. this summer I will definitely change things. I plan on writing a novel, training, going outside jogging, late night walks etc. This video definitely motivates a lot of people, including myself.
usually I would have clicked off of a video like this by now but the way you explained it seems so down to earth and genuine. were close in age so i was really interested on what you had to say. awesome to see that there are still teens out there who are trying to make a difference. thanks so much for the motivation, keep it up! ☺️
This video was literally JUST what I needed. I’m from the uk and I’m currently sitting my gcse exams (6weeks of intense exams I think I’ve done about 19 so far) and every day I’ve counted down the days to summer, yet I know that when the time comes I may not live the summer I planned. I’m going to change that. I’ve got 1 more week left in which I have 7 more exams and then after…freedom. I’ve made checklists and plans to make sure I stick to summer goals and I’ve even got a reading list, swimming and running weekly sessions and a screentime plan. So glad to have found this video!!
Dont be afraid to ask a friend or two if they want to go somewhere or hang out! Even if youre not close with them, they wont be weirded out if you ask. And if they are, maybe they’re not someone you want to be friends with anyway.
When i was 16 (i'm 19 now) i thought about this too and since then my summers have been more and more interesting - every new day becomes a memory to remember and every new experience becomes a story to tell!
Pretty cool insights. Looking around and taking everything in... it's important. Not only does it give more meaning to life, but it makes it go slower. It makes you take a step back and really look into every moment rather than just mindlessly letting them pass you by
This video reminds me of my last summer when i almost got there. i almost became productive, but smth just held me back. whatever it is, i dont care. this summer i gotta lock in and take it seriously. take my life seriously. also the fact that youre 16 too just pushed me more to make this decision. thanks for being an inspiration.
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for making this video with such kindness (honestly you didn't made me feel bad about myself at all for being 'unproductive') and good advices, it motivated me, as 17yo, to just enjoy my summer, actually do things and just appreciate every moment.
The part of the video when you talk about the hotels is so true. I was in a hotel abroad with my family recently. At first I didn't feel comfortable and thought "this vacation will be wasted". But then, I realised literally no one knew me there, so I could do the things I'm afraid to do on daily basic. For example I tried to speak English, which is my second language and I always felt insecure about using it. Then I went on a party (I still don't know how it even happened 😅) and danced with a random just guy because he asked me to. I never in my life thought that I will be able to do such things, because of the fear I had inside. But at least I know I tried. I'm so thankful I decided to get out my comfort zone. It brang me joy, new experiences and showed me that I can change if I want to. I'm motivated to do more things to change my life for better, step by step. Thank you for making such videos, showing young people like me that good things will happen if they just try ❤
Instantly subscribed, thank you. All of this is genuinely so valid. I’ve been going for simply a a mile or even more walks everyday, it makes such a difference. And mainly letting go once awhile, forgetting what other people view you as, despite my horrid anxiety. Got a job, not bed rotting or self sabotaging, not wasting time with endless amounts of scrolling. It is refreshing, even the little things and a new mindset.
I relate to this so much 😭 I actually just graduated from high school in June and only now have I fully realized the mistakes I’ve been making every summer (and perhaps every school year as well) That’s not to say that I’ve been aware of it or haven’t made progress, but I have that same lack of meaning with nothing to do every day. I’m doing a little better this summer though. Lately, I’ve begun to take morning walks in my local park.
I have two summers left before I'm an adult, and the last one might not even count because of all the shit with finding an university + a place to live near it on the next year. I need to spend this one perfectly, to enjoy it as much as I can. Thank you !
It’s crazy how these actions were just normal actions that everyone does in the 90s and 2000s and even early 2010s. But now just eating at a restaurant or playing basketball with your friends is such a productive thing. Crazy how the internet ruined our lives.

Let's goo man I'm happy to hear it. Keep us updated!

@Aatlar Hello again :D
I found a website "Time And Date" and also did a countdown!!
That's awesome! Keep me updated!
What’s your place like?
U should start writing a book or journaling. I’m not homeschooled but I have tons of free time and it gets my mind going and it opens up the world because I’m always taking away features from that random person at Wendy’s and stuff like that. It’s rlly fun
Never let this wisdom go. I’ve been out of college for a little while now wishing that I could’ve applied this attitude to my teenage years, but it’s important to remember that you only have the present. And no matter where you are in life, it’s important to make the most of what you have and find joy wherever you are.
i've never felt so called out in my life by that intro 😭
i fr start treating summer like the new years and come up with a lot of resolutions that i never finish
Haha I'm glad we could relate tho
I would recommend start doing something right now no matter how big or small so you immediately start instead of putting off into "someday"
Keep me updated please!
i think that people, regardless of age, need human interaction to build anything meaningful in life. the way he talks about applying for jobs is not just about earning money or being productive; it's about sharing stories with friends, creating good memories, and learning how to live our lives. despite his young age, i personally learned a lot from this video. it's about being human and living life to the fullest. it's so sweet
Thank you

I’m 19, this is my first summer out of high school, and I’m struggling with summer approaching. It feels so weird not to be on the same schedule as the first 13 years of my life, especially since I’m doing a summer semester at university. Still hoping to make the most of it. Keep it up dude
Start trying things man keep me updated on how you do !
Another great video! Seriously i love these things. I came up with a little craft for summer or any school break: It is a few jars of things to do in the summer, and every day a shake the appropriate jar and draw one little paper, and i have to do that thing that day. I have four jars for different categories. Rainy (if its raining that day) Busy (if i have to work or i have other things planed that day) Vacation (anything i could do if i was on vacation) and Normal (these would be the most time consuming things meant for days where i have very little or absolutely nothing to do)
Its purpose is so that you're never bored, and have something to do each day.
Wow this is actually really good im going to try something like this

The only thing that is holding me behind of the things i want to do is my phone.
Great to hear!
i hate how homework is set online for me not on paper!!!!
I love this video so much. I'm 16 too and I don't want to waste this summer like I did for all the others.
So I made a little list of all the cool stuff I want to do this summer. Might help if you think there is nothing interesting to do inside or outside where you live :
- practicing my hobbies : I always loved to draw, but I don't have much time during the year with school and stuff.
I bet I'm not the only one who make beautiful drawings when I'm bored in math class and who get an art block when I'm finally in front of a real paper, so I'm sure I'm not the only one who will do that
- learning languages on duolingo : I have a 465 days streak on duolingo, but that's for english and I'm already pretty fluent at it. But I also learn spanish at school, and that's where I get my lowest grades. I will work more on it, and I might try to learn italian too. Having at least a few skills in a foreign language can be usefull in everyday life, and it doesn't cost more than a few minutes in your day. Plus it is a cool flex
- visiting museums (I'm not a nerd I swear-) : ngl most of museums are boring asf.
Maybe invite your friends, it can be fun for them too
- watching videos about science/history : there are tons of amazing youtubers that teach you so much more than school and still be interesting and fun.
I don't know for you, but that idea keep me awake very late at night
- going on walk in the city/nature : walking is cool because you exercise without even noticing. There are a lot of beautiful but simple places everywhere. Just walk, explore, take pictures, have fun with your friends or alone, and look at the world
- read outside your home : there are probably some parks, forests or other quiet places where you live. You can just go there with a book (I personnally read a lot but I don't have much time during the year + I always do that in my room, at 11 pm while waiting for my friend to answer my texts. Reading somewhere else is at the same time an activity I'm used to do and a new thing)
Anyway, that's just a few ideas. Maybe you already thought about those, maybe they aren't things you can do where you live, but again that's just ideas, I just hope someone can have fun with them :)
Happy holidays everyone :D
thanks for the ideas man
Damn this is a good video- I’m in the UK doing my exams right now, but this has made me look forward to summer soooo much. I swear sometimes school makes you forget that there’s life outside of exams
Haha real. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it
Samee I'm doing exams in the uk as well but theres only one week until summer I cant waittt
Let's goo keep me updated on what you do
Being able to influence people older than you Is so wholesome.
:)
I totally wasted last summer :/ this video has given me some ideas on how to not repeat that mistake. Thanks dude!
No problem keep us updated on how it goes!
Its so awesome to know that Im not the only one who has been feeling like I haven’t been cherishing my summers. Im 16 too and I’ve been thinking about getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things. Thank you 😁
That's great to hear keep us updated!
ok this is crazy, i literally subscribed as soon as the video started and damn!! i’m 16 too and i swear i would have never imagined that you’re 16 too, most guys our age (at least the ones i know at my school and city) would never talk about this stuff that can really change a life and make people feel better. please keep on going with these videos! thank you for your kindness, i hope more people start to think like you :)) 🫶🏻
Thanks for watching !
My summer break started. I am really happy, that this video came across me! Ty
Glad I could help!
On this day i promised myself to never choose gaming instead of socializing.
things i’m gonna do
1. read a book in spanish
2. find ways to earn money
3. go to the beach
4. draw more/improve
5. journal
6. sew more
7. workout daily (already doing)
8. go with my friends and do stuff
9. read more books
10. find new style
11. do those stories u said!
Awesome! let me know how it goes
@@Timofey41 thank you! you’re such an inspiration :)
when you said you were 16 i felt more motivated to change some things in my life, seeing someone your age enjoying their life is actually very helping and refreshing
Thanks for watching :)
i’ve been getting super into self-help and video essays for awhile, but today was the day where i actually started. i did a workout already and some yoga, made myself some potstickers for lunch and i’m having a little cool down time to do some art while watching some youtube simultaneously. i’m gonna go on a walk in a bit and sit down and read my book, play some pokémon go on the way, and i’ll probably visit the park at sunset, return home for dinner, help with the dishes, and watch a show with my mom. texted the group chat and we’ve been bouncing back plans for a photoshoot picnic so i’m looking forward to that! i’ve got a trip in europe planned with my family and some relatives out over in cali so i’m super pumped for that, and my photography & journal is gonna be crazyy. i’m not wasting this summer 💪💪
edit: summer’s over and school’s started but my photo gallery is so full and i’ve made lots of good food!! europe was GORGEOUS (we went to a bunch of different countries) and i’m back on my daily walks and little art and music sessions with myself and others :)) i ended up going back to my old elementary (primary) school and repainted a mural i helped out with awhile back, did some camp counseling, and now i’m getting into the groove of freshman year. so far so good, and i’m staying on top of my assignments, but i’m hoping to make a good art portfolio by the end of this school year, so i’m losing a little bit of sleep on that. other than that, it’s been insanely good. stay strong ya’ll 💪 💪
LET'S GO! Keep me updated! Keep the momentum!!!
@@Timofey41 on it 🫡
All my school year i kept thinking about summer.
You got this man let me know how it goes
That's great advice! I've kept a journal with generally rough writing in it. Not until recently did I start to think what if I wrote in a more polished form? I already write so many private entries in the journal. Then I started expanding into chapter length for some content while poetry and metaphors worked best for conveying other ideas. In some ways I don't know why it took so long to couple writing with the other types of work I do like web design. Yes, it gives you practice for when the subject comes up when you are in person with someone too!
thank you!
I’m turning 16 this summer actually, and as all the comments have been saying it’s incredibly refreshing to see like minded people acknowledge the world around us, and I appreciate your sharing of knowledge continue to encourage others towards the right mindset to lead a fulfilling life :)
Man, this motivates me so much 🙏 I’m addicted to my phone and I’ve been trying to read and get out more. This feels like a wake up call, thank you ❤️
Let's goo keep us updated!
I’m about to be a sophomore in college, but as someone who’s tried taking advantage of every single summer as much as possible, this is spot on! I love your outlook, and keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the words
he’s 16 and he’s more mature than me 😭 wtf am i doing with my life?!
everyone has their own path, its never late or early. just go for it
Bro I love your channel. I just had that same realization that I just shouldn't waste my time by being inside all day doing nothing memorable. I'm trying to make this summer as memorable as possible. I wish I had this realization earlier in life but I'm making the best out of it.
Let's goo keep us updated!
conclusion: go outside
w
Thank you for this! Ever since I started working in a lab, it took up most of my evenings including the weekend. All I would do for the past three months was get up around noon, cook and eat, watch videos and wait til I had to go to work. I’ve been wanting to do the things I love like reading comics, gaming, watching shows, etc for the longest time but I was always focused on my job. My problem is just getting started tbh. Well….its time to turn it around
You got this!
Goals for this summer
1. Get lifeguard certification
2. Get my 50 hours of driving
3. Consistent exercise schedule
4. Become better at my trumpet
5. Swim the perimeter of a lake
Awesome! Imma drive some more too. Keep me updated!
genuinely loving your content rn, keep doing what you’re doing! it’s so refreshing to see such a positive mindset!!
Thanks for watching!
bro how do u have that knowledge at 16 bro you can teach like 99% of the world
haha thank you :)
Not that hard to realize that sitting inside is boring
@@Randomguy12773 kind of hard to actually do smth about it
You can’t open the door and go outside?
Let's goo keep us updated on what you do
i’m about to be 18 this summer and i always love my summers because i spend sooo much time outside wether it’s solo adventure or with friends great video btw keep it up !!!
Wow that sounds awesome let me know what you end up doing! Thank you!
Okay instead of doomscrolling all day I’m gonna learn new stuff and write them here 😮
1. Start journaling (I didn’t know how to journal,so I just wrote stuff from the days I found the most interesting.so far I have like a 34 day streak)
2. Read at least one book and write a book review (I read ‘The Gone World’ and it was great honestly)
3. Go for a walk with every morning
- 20 day streak
4. Go somewhere I’m unfamiliar with, alone
- I went and explored a lake near my home
5. Learn how to dance (haven’t tried this yet 😢)
6. Find stray cats near me (I’ve been wanting to do this for such a long time)
- I FOUSN ONE TODAY IT WAS SO CUTE
7. Learn new songs on the Piano
( forgot the titles of the songs, but I learnt 3 new songs)
8. Talk to a stranger at my tuition
(I did! We became friends)
Let's goo keep us updated!
@@Timofey41sure will!
What new songs will you learn?
I love the storytelling part, that is something I’ve never heard to use in that way and I think it ties into gratitude a lot.
That's cool glad it was helpful
i wish i had this mindset at 16
have this mindset noww
You can have it now ?
it’s never too late to try :)
probably one of the best videos someone could actually watch tbh, I've started going on more walks, reading more, going out with friends more and honestly I'm feeling better than ever. Doing the little things drastically change how we feel not even just during the summer but all year round.
Thank you I appreciate it a lot
@@Timofey41 anytime 👍
honestly i just wanna have some friends to hang out with
Relatable
i feel you. Have you been doing anything to try and get this? Going out or talking to people?
Hope that helped, best of luck
exactly, i dont need friends tho just working and grinding.
Thank you for watching man
I looked yesterday to see if you posted something like this
YAY now you can see it
I'm moving from Irelans to Poland, Irish summers are longer and I would graduate at 17, but in Poland summers for school are shorter and you graduate at 19. I was really angry about it but you made me realise that in Ireland i barely go out since the weather is so bad, and the longer I stay in school the more free summers I get. Thank you.
Sounds cool let me know what you do!
You are lucky you got friends>
I'm grateful for it but it was also my choice to talk to new people hopefully you can do the same!
This was my last year of school. After I finished with my exams, I started feeling bored, thinking that life has no meaning anymore. I can't thank you enough for this life changing video. I will make life worth again, and it's going to be because of you ❤
You got this! Let me know how it goes
but what if all of your friends live too far away or are already doing stuff with other people?
Call and do activities thru there. If others are already busy communicate with them that u want to set time aside for the both of u, or try out new things by yourself

Mate, what you are saying here is absolutely AMAZING. It is so true and exactly what I needed. Can't wait to check out your other videos. Keep it up!
Thank you I really appreciate it :)
Awesome man thanks for watching :) Lmk what you end up doing
usually I would have clicked off of a video like this by now but the way you explained it seems so down to earth and genuine. were close in age so i was really interested on what you had to say. awesome to see that there are still teens out there who are trying to make a difference. thanks so much for the motivation, keep it up! ☺️
Glad you enjoyed it!
Let's goo lmk what you do!
Dont be afraid to ask a friend or two if they want to go somewhere or hang out! Even if youre not close with them, they wont be weirded out if you ask.
And if they are, maybe they’re not someone you want to be friends with anyway.
Yessir
When i was 16 (i'm 19 now) i thought about this too and since then my summers have been more and more interesting - every new day becomes a memory to remember and every new experience becomes a story to tell!
Pretty cool insights. Looking around and taking everything in... it's important. Not only does it give more meaning to life, but it makes it go slower. It makes you take a step back and really look into every moment rather than just mindlessly letting them pass you by
Thanks for watching
This video reminds me of my last summer when i almost got there. i almost became productive, but smth just held me back. whatever it is, i dont care. this summer i gotta lock in and take it seriously. take my life seriously. also the fact that youre 16 too just pushed me more to make this decision. thanks for being an inspiration.
let's goo let me know what you do
yeah true being in your room all day is boring going out and having some walk and seeing sunset is cool for me
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for making this video with such kindness (honestly you didn't made me feel bad about myself at all for being 'unproductive') and good advices, it motivated me, as 17yo, to just enjoy my summer, actually do things and just appreciate every moment.
Glad I could help!
Haha that's cool glad you liked the video
Instantly subscribed, thank you. All of this is genuinely so valid. I’ve been going for simply a a mile or even more walks everyday, it makes such a difference. And mainly letting go once awhile, forgetting what other people view you as, despite my horrid anxiety. Got a job, not bed rotting or self sabotaging, not wasting time with endless amounts of scrolling. It is refreshing, even the little things and a new mindset.
Thank you so much :)
I relate to this so much 😭
I actually just graduated from high school in June and only now have I fully realized the mistakes I’ve been making every summer (and perhaps every school year as well)
That’s not to say that I’ve been aware of it or haven’t made progress, but I have that same lack of meaning with nothing to do every day.
