My wife and I met Deen at a meet and greet after there first concert in America in Vegas. He was the coolest most down to earth approachable guy I have ever met. He made you feel like a friend he had for 20 years
@@rabfallon4507 Deen has been troubled. I have my own internal conflict on this. He had a very very bad part of his life. I'm not going to gloss that over. But can people rehabilitate? I'm of the belief that Deen has.
DC is so underated !!! Our heavenly FATHER has given DC the responsibility of using his gifts of song to make people happy & im pretty sure hes given DC a dble thumbs up.
we shot this in basement studio in Nashville. It was hard to shoot because I wanted to dance, cry, laugh, and sing all at same time. One of the greatest honors of a 40 year career to shoot this video. A truly amazing group of artists. Thanks Jay and Deen.
Deen is a friend of mine and I cannot wait to see what these guys do together. I’ve always been a huge fan of Chicago and love Sheff’s voice and of Rascal Flatts!!
@@kjhelms829 please give Deen my best, I shoot them twice and first time meeting. I had left the Journey camp by the time he came on board. He is an impressive artist and a damn good guy. I was in tears while catching up on friends and family. I would drop everything to work with them in future.
Deen is my fav singer/drummer from Bad English, respect for this guy the last few years, He's an allround musician, wished John Waite would work with him again!!!!!!Let me dream or just stop dreaming!
Amazing band. I’ve been blessed to see Chicago with Jason, Deen with Journey, Jay with Rascal Flatts and Chris Rodriguez with 5 or 6 different artists. (Keith Urban and Kenny Loggins) to name a couple. Just a bunch of heavy hitters.
Deen is a monster. He's no spring chicken anymore but he keeps it going with....how many bands is he part of currently. You're awesome deen....I think he might be a transformer....lol.
Straight up. Jason is one of my favorite bass players and Deen is one of my favorite drummers. My son and I love both Chicago and Journey! This is fantastic!!!
This is so awesome! Love the idea of musicians joining to play their hits. Very cool. Deen tossed me his drum stick in 2012, when he was with Journey I was thrilled! Would love to see them in concert. Rise Above!
They did a concert yesterday in Nashville and I watched the show livestreaming in the middle of the night for me (time zone). They were very good. Great concert !
WOW! That's so good ! What a great band ! Jason my favorite Chicago singer, Dean is amazing singing like he does at drums and of course Jay is there. I love all of them. Thanks.
Yes they definitely are a supergroup! You’ve got Jason Scheff, Bass/Lead Vocalist from Chicago, Deen Castronovo former Journey Drummer / backing vocals, and Jay DeMarcus former vocalist from Rascal Flatts.
Jason Scheff was pretty much held back by Chicago. They just hired him to mostly cover Peter Cetera songs. Jason also replaced Peter as the bassist. Will You Still Love Me and If She Would Have Been Faithful were the new 2 hit songs with him on lead vocals.
Don't forget "WHAT KIND OF MAN WOULD I BE? Off Chicago 19 . Number 5 on Billboard 1990 .Jason cowrote that one with Bobby Caldwell (RIP) The first two you listed were written by outsider songwriters and were crafted to sound like Cetera's style on Chicago 16&17. "WHAT KIND OF MAN WOULD I BE? 👉 Jason owned that song 🎵 inside, out.
this band is going to be around along time thier awesome my favorite members dean journey and various other bands hes played with nothing personal niel way better than arnel sorry jason i grew up with you with chicago im 55 and jason i liked rascal flatts alot and to see you cross over from country to this wow although i was very dissapointed in joe dunn walking away like he did jason you started the band right? you and gary made him what he is today gary put hjis heart and soul into that band i feel he deserved more that what he got in the end lets admit it his voice carried the band on for 20 years don if your reading this you owe it to gary an explantion on why you just quit your awesume
That's a MusicMan Luke Mark II I believe, a sweet, sweet guitar. I have a Mark I, which I love dearly, but the Floyd Rose is somewhat of a pain in the bum
It's hard to watch my well-respected vocalists get older-Steve, Arnel, and deen. Deen might replace broken drumsticks, but sadly, vocalist cannot replace their pipes 😢
From what I could tell, there was nothing wrong with Deen's pipes here. And on "Hard to Say I'm Sorry", Jason was no Peter Cetera(in his prime), but he still sounded pretty darn good.
@@saradollins5142 watch him live with no vocal corrections. His voice is unstable at high notes. Probably because of years from taking drugs. It is free to search, ma'am.
@@troyguererro0898 Check out his live vocals on Journey Through Time. No vocal corrections. The whole concert is amazing. I would love to be able to sing Journey songs in the original key in my 50s like Deen. I would blame some of his power issues in *this* recording more on the fact that he was still smoking (ugh) and still waiting for back surgery. I wouldn’t mess with that gift with smoking, but hey. He’s an adult. Yeah, we all know about his past. We don’t need to look it up, Sir.
To me, Deene made a big mistake leaving Generation & going with Journey. The blend is mind blowing & on a creative note his gift is highlighted more here then Journey. For sure this was divinely picked. 😢
Deen Castronovo is a Man blessed with insane talent. Fantastic performance over all, but hats off to Deen..

Deen's voice takes me back to the time as a teenager when this song came out.
I've always loved Jason's vocals when he's not under the constraints of Chicago. Band sounds great 👍
totally agree
I love that we fuck up, return to Christ, and allow God in-so his spirit can flow through us… I love being 55.

At his age? and that range? c'mon Deen hats off.

oh I love you guys , thanks so much for your ever lasting music. God Bless love and light . theresa # 1 fan
Always loved Deen .. nice mix with Jason Scheff
If they create an album, especially of original music, I'll buy it the day it comes out. AOR needs this band.
Well, your wish came true. They'll be releasing a brand new album as Generation Radio soon.

Deen is great,,he sing close to Steve,,drumming while singing is totally awesome,
Imagine a duet of Steve and Deen, the best.
This is so fantastic! Deen is so great of course at drums but at singing too! Really miss him in Dead Daisy's!
Deen, you are fantastic, every time you make me wanna go get my own set of drums. Too bad I can't play for shit lol. You really rock brother!

There will only ever be one Peter Cetera, but Jason Scheff was a pretty darn good number two.

What?? Deen teamed up with Jason?
Like Jason scheff,
He sounds as good ste what's his name.

Youre way better singer than Arnel
The chorus on Jason's vocals is basically flanging. Back off a bit FOH
Quit Dead Daisies because of back problems the comes out singing this generic crap!?!
Uhm...
Nope. I want my 5 minutes back.
Generic crap? You know nothing about music. Just go deaf already!!
jason scheff is a hack, his voice blows.
Why is Dean playing these songs with his new band. He has nothing to do with the creation of these songs. What a shame!
