First time I saw Journey, maybe 20 or more years ago, Steve Augeri was the lead vocalist and Deen, obviously was the drummer, but then he took lead on “Mother, Father” and I was utterly blown away. And no disrespect at all to Augeri but their lead singer was sitting behind the band the whole time.

He is the original vocalist, Jason Scheff, the lead singer of the Chicago band from 1985 through 2016. "Will You Still Love Me" had been released in September 1986 and it was the first major Jason Scheff hit with the Chicago band. It soared to the top of the charts. It is still a fan favorite.

Jason, your voice is like no other. Deene is one gifted singer and drummer. The other singers and musicians are fantastic as well. The Harmonies are so perfect and the ranges. I hope Deene rejoins this group. He’s a huge part of your story. I love how God creates and brings people together. Tom & Chris, wow what gifts you two have. Chris your range is stellar!
I hope one day you will come to Chicago. I live in Highland Park and every summer we have Ravinia & Taste of Highland Park. This group would be a perfect fit for the venues. Another lead journey singer Steve Augeri and his band performed. The audience went wild!!! Blessings to all ❤️
Jason's basswork is always superlative, but his voice here is stunningly perfect!! Better even than the recorded version from 35 years ago!!! How is that even possible??!! Best version I've heard period. Way to knock this out of the park, Jason. I need to go back through your Scheffy bass licks videos. That stuff was just mind-blowing!! Anyone want to know what kind of beast Jason is on bass, track down those vids!
Goosebumps the whole way through. Jason sounds just as good as the first time I saw him Chicago. And Jay, well it’s awesome to hear him get some lead vocals! His harmonies are spot on, as we’ve come to expect. Chris always slays on guitar and harmonies. This is pure gold and gave me all the feelings.

Damn! Nostalgic. One of my most played song in my playlists. Chicago version with Jason sounds more mellow than this pop version. It sounds great equally though.
