At times, the manhwa adaptations fail to fully capture the essence of the novels, often skipping significant scenes. While understandable, given the immense workload faced by manhwa artists striving to deliver high-quality content, it still leaves something to be desired in terms of fidelity to the source material.
PS. Suicide Hunter did the webnovel 👌👌👌👌
Also I recommend "Cheolsu Saves the World" if you like Suicide Hunter.
...
Oh... Garnt mentioned this series already.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS, the later romance in SSS class revival hunter is soo good

TBATE burnt mid though
The fact I know all of these 💀🤧
The greatest estate developer is the best manhwa of all time un-ironically.
HELP WHY DID I RECONGNISE MOST OF THESE TITLES WHERE IS THE GRASS??? also sss class suicide hunters is defiantly one of favorite manhuwas!! I don't want to spoil it too much but every arc tugged at my heart strings slightly in a way I wasn't totally expecting it to and it only got better as it went on. AND OMG I WONT SAY HER NAME BUT THAT WOMAN.... SHE DOESNT SHOW UP FOR AWHILE BUT I WORSHIP THE GROUND SHE WALKS ON OML
i would also like to touch on the more ig feminine(?) side of the regression and isekai genre. There are a lot of stories centered around women, typically set in a fantasy and or royalty setting. There are a lot of sub categories to this but I think they give off the same vibes in that the main characters are incredibly intelligent and OP and most of them have very similar formulas.
Bruh it’s the feminine side that got me into isekai and regression manhwa. When you start it’s a whole rabbit hole you keep going into. I really cannot count how many in the past 4 years I’ve read and till this day I will keep reading no matter how repetitive it can get 😂
GIVE TITLES INSTEAD OF JUST SAYING "i would also like to touch on the more ig feminine(?) side of the regression and isekai genre." TITLES !!! GIVE US TITLES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
The dolls, the dolls make me cry every time
@@voilavoila196 one of my absolute favorites is called the villainess turns the hourglass!! this one is complete so its good to start with. you can find a lot of this genre by typing like “villainess” or something into the search bar.
a few other recs are;
villians are destined to die (VERY GOOD, pretty sad, made me cry a few times)
father i dont want this marriage (complete, one of my personal favorites)
the monstrous duke’s adopted daughter(complete)
my secretly hot husband (the title make it sound shallow but its actually pretty good if you give it a try, complete)
sacrificed (complete)
s class hunter doesnt want to be a villainous princess (newer, mc was completed the tower and was transported to another world)
most of these are romance and revenge type stories. id give you more recs but i dont keep track of everything i read so i hope these are okay!! enjoy reading ^
@@voilavoila196
I'd like to add a few to the above recommendations:
I Shall Master this Family (economic/political drama, heartwarming family stuff, romance)
The Soulless Duchess (revenge, fantasy, romance)
Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion (great beginner series; comedy, romance, also an anime!)
The Lady Needs a Break (reincarnation burnout, fantasy, romance)
Touch My Little Brother and You're Dead (comedy, lots of comedy, romance)
not all of these are actually regression, but they're very alike in genre, like isekai and reincarnation
and I 100% second Villains Are Destined to Die and The Villainess Turns the Hourglass, two of my favorites
Big up for wanting to give ORV its own video. Love the story and the plot, I'm right in the middle and daaannng it gets so good
11:14 In A Man's Man, Hansung is actually based on LG while their rival Ilsung is based on Samsung. It's actually a real life power fantasy of the original story writer who actually worked in LG (kind of a project manager in charge of developing OLED TV) where LG wins the smartphone race over Samsung. You can really tell how much he wishes LG had kept going with their smartphone development.
As an LG phone haver, I too wish they had kept going 😭 now I have to find a new phone that still offers OS updates
"bro saw one low tier god post and thought it was a mr beast challenge" is the best line I have heard in a very long time
Trash of the Count's family is a hidden gem and a masterpiece in my opinion like the deeper you go into the novel the better it becomes. The author is so clever in connecting plotlines and putting foreshadowings although her writing style may not be everyone's cup of tea. And the characters are all so lovable especially my baby dragon RAON MIRUUU❤️❤️✨✨
Gigguk is progressing in the pipeline towards the final destination of web novels. Some glorious day there might be a LOTM or SS video lol
By SS do you mean Shadow Slave?
@@daniel_alyur yeah
Anime for lotm 2025 man I'm so hyped. Just hope they don't mess up the pacing to rush action
Indeed, we hope that one day, we shall witness true gems being unearthed.
Still, ORV is definitely a goated beginning to the pipeline for sure.
We're really looking forward to your review on Omniscient Reader
I am back to tell y'all that everything about SSS Class Suicide Hunter is literally peak
I have never read something so satisfying
, The ending of each floors are absolute masterpiece s
Was literally so excited just seeing the single frame of ORV in the middle of the video. Was thinking the entire time that there is no regressor more famous than Yoo Joonghyuk, but the problem is that he’s another layer deep 😭 Was also thinking that the whole regressor idea of using your previous knowledge to help you was giving big Kim Dokja vibes, but his situation is more like a reverse “isekai where you’re reincarnated into a character in the novel you read”. Anyway I love ORV so much, excited for a future video about it :3
not even mentioning the subgenre titan that is Romance Fantasy is criminal
THANK YOU FOR THIS! I’ve been reading manhwa for years and never knew how to recommend this to a male audience/male friends but these are all awesome!!!!
Hell yeah! Excited for a review on Omniscient Reader!
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is actually going to have a five feature film adaptation will probably be release sometime the end of next year. i know they already started filming it.
Finally someone talks about this series! Ugh! I've been waiting so damn long for more
man, really hit us with that Kaine / Salvation music at the end of the SSS-Suicide Hunter
Read the first 60 chapters of sss class revival Hunter after watching this video and binged the rest last night. Definitely the best storytelling in regression I’ve ever read
Oh boy... Now we wait for the OtomeIsekai episode
For those reading this, if you like a story with both isekai and regression, you should try reading "I will be the matriach in this life / I Shall master this family" (both the same manhwa).
Jokes aside i think it is an extremely well written story and an insanely good read, do give it a shot!
I’ve seen all of these, some great recs in the comments too. But I have a rec that I would say is up there, though it’s a manhwa (Chinese). The Return of the Crazy Demon is a manhwa with a title that tells you all you need to know, and it’s one of the best manhwa I’ve ever read. It’s also a regression one too.
Sss class revival hunter it's so good, I really love the way they make the protagonist change in his way of thinking, I am almost finishing the novel and MAN I really want to know how they are going to draw the more philosophical parts of the story(there's a lot).
Medical return is one of my most favorite regression and I constantly reread it at least once a year
8:55 man said worldbuilding and inserted ancient magus' bride bgm. World building in that anime is simply magnificent.
i really recommend for you to read greatest estate developer, it's not like the usual isekai where the main character just becomes strong out of bs, but the story really goes great and it has a lot of comedies and drama along the way
Ohhh I loved everything you mentioned like literally
man this is wild, these genre transitions are completely matching my own
I am waiting for your video analysis on ORV like an addict waiting for drugs. It’s a masterpiece
orv is like high quality cocaine
I've been reading Omniscient Reader for about 2 years or so
Great series, glad you looked into it
At 4:14 when SAO theme came on, nostalgic feels just FLOWED! Just can't, the days~
I’m sooo glad I’m not the only one here!…I know I’m not the only one but to actually hear someone else going down the same deep dark abyss is nice to know😅 I discovered Manhwa by accident and never have came back up since!
Enjoyed the video! I Look forward to the next one
How dare you tease me about a video of my 2nd favorite manhwa. I need a video about Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint now. -frantically tapping veins-
im late to the party but i know exactly which manhwa that ending one was and cannot wait for the video. Omniscent reader is so good, although it is similar to solo levelling I hope it becomes an anime soon because I personally think the story is pretty awesome! Take care of yourself, I love your videos!!
How wonderful that we have met with a paradox. Now we have some hope of making progress.
I've been reading Primer for the Apocalypse over on Royal Road which is a sort-of-regression novel where the MC is a Space-Time mage and uses a spell to transport her consciousness back in time so she can use what knows now to become more powerful so she can save her friends and whatever "last requests" they had. It's pretty slow-burn, reminiscent of slice-of-life, but still pretty good.
Thank you for this video!
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint deserves a LOT of attention and I'm glad he'll be making a video on it...
The story itself is one that is incomparable to all other fiction and I clicked on this video hoping it would get at least mentioned!
It's a "story" that I've not seen anywhere and to give a comment on it without spoilers, it teaches you about many concepts but first and foremost love, Not platonic or romantic, for family or life, not even of the world, but "LOVE" as the concept itself; the story everyone needs to read and experience for themselves.
I find a lot of them start out fairly similarly but about 60-80 chapters in they really start coming into their own
Hey Gigguk, this may be the correct time for me to introduce you to LitRPG's. It's Manhwa level and stat progression but in novel form, they're multi-versal and may even start off as an isekai. I recommend Defiance of the fall, He who fights with monsters, The Primal hunter, Battle mage farmer, all of the Andrew Rowe books, The perfect run by Maxime J durand, System Universe, Speedrunning the mulitverse is kinda regression progression, beers and beards. 👍👍 Thats only about a few hundred hours of content, potentially more than a thousand since only one of the series I've mentioned has ended.
Honestly the nice thing about manhwa is theres so much of it that you can find another to read till the previous one comes back from its break
I love how omniscient reader viewpoint is gettin more recognition nowadays~ look forward to the video!!
cant wait for the ORV vid
the more i hear about SSS suicide hunter and its brand of regression in this video the more im just reminded of Homura Akemi in PMMM because that is basically what she had to do , minus killing herself in order to travel back in time
Totally wasn’t using this for recommendations lmao. But you covered some I’ve already read like Leveling with the gods.
Just finished the SSS Suicide hunter novel and it was one of my favorite reads in a really long time. Author gets super philosophical in the last stretch so I'm interested to see how they display that in the mangwa
Thanks for the recommendation. I've been on the fence about the unalive hunter for years, this just convinced to actually read it. A Man's Man sounds good and Saves the World looks short enough so I don't need to dedicate myself into another long running series. I also didn't know the Past Life Regressor got a reboot, I thought it was being abandoned.
Just read a mans man cuz of this and it's great
Gotta agree on SSS revival hoonter, it's one of the slopstories I've read where I wasn't audibly sighing as I read it and instead enjoyed the characters interacting with each other.
I'm bias because i fell in love with anime during late 2000s-early 2010s era but man do i love to repeat watching k-on, saiki kusuo, danshi kokousei, nichijou. Can we bring that comedy animes back?
You're way behind the curve on this one. Wait until they get into the cultivation and daoist themed power fantasies.
I know i am late for the party but thanks for the recomendations. Binged Cheolsu Saves the World and loved it.
I think a really underrated one is "I became the tyrant of the tower defense". Really think more people should read it
SSS class suicide hunter was a huuuge surprise it's gotta be my favourite from this genre by far, it actually adresses its core themes and tells a compelling story! Also a man's man is *criminally* underrated for how good it is, it's one of my favourites as well.
I hadn't heard abt cheolsu saves the world, im excited to check it out. Can't wait for the orv video!!
Haha glad to know I'm not alone! I'm starting to feel a bit meh about regression now though, curious what's gonna be next
Your reaction to SSS Class revival hunter is so real, i had low expectations on its initial release due to its bame but holy its story arcs go hard
I just finished reading a returners magic, and that ending was awesome
Man Gugguk behind the times. I've already been there and done that with manwha regression stories 5 to 10 years ago.
This makes me think of a book I just found out about, the MC gets isekied to a hundred worlds and needs to be fired from the hero partys in each world to get home. It starts as he is leaving the last world to go home but he decided to revisit the first world, and the heroes had lost so he rewinds to the first world with all the buffs he got from all the other worlds.
I just need to know where I can wait it
that last one, it's called Omniscient reader and is a great manwha. the story is great, the characters are awesome, and the world building is excellent
regression usually is basically just like a video game isekai where they die go back into the past and some of the stuff is changed but just enough is the same so they always have the advantage pretty much
7th Time Loop: the Villainess Enjoys A Carefree Life Married To Her Worst Enemy!
is an anime I recently watched and am drooling over the thought of more seasons. Apparently it started as LNs and has two manga adaptations.
made this change last year
My journey's the same. I over-watched Isekai and moved to manhwa few years ago. Read a lot there. found some good stuff and still reading manhwa.
I hate/love that I knew what genre you were gonna talk about before even clicking on this
Thank you for introducing me to sss class suicide hunter. It's such a great read.
Has just committed jump king is my new favorite euphemism.
i guess i wasn't the only one stuck in the rabbit hole good to know.
nice topic, but what do you think about the midevil style manwha's who have a lower prince of the realm who get exiled, but learns how to fight and becomes a warlord to take back what was rightfully his and stop evil where ever it rises.
Cant wait for the video on Omniscient readers viewpoint
OMG OMG A VIDEO ON ORV YES PLEASE it’s legit the BEST thing I’ve ever read I kid u not
also check out Existence and The Beginning After the End
He didn't mentioned the beginning after the end but it's the goat
I’m just happy someone finally talking about regression genera
dawg, I started reading sss class suicide hunter last year, DID not expect it to be in this video lol
For a great Sci Fi and Fantasy regression into the video game the character played in his previous life try the great story The Legendary Mechanic.
All I can say is that ORV and SSS-class suicide hunter are the only manhwa/novels that made me tear-up/cry from reading them no matter how much I re-read them
already done that and is that "How to use a returner" I saw
I F#cking love that manhwa
The meteor one sounds awesome.
I need that next manhwa to be omniscient reader, also I have been literally looking for that sss hunter one for years since my friend told me about it years ago.
Return of the Crazy Demon is also a regression manhwa but with a murim overtones in it. I'm quite disappointed that this title didn't make it in the video.
When this was posted at least 4 isekai came out
I love that I basically read the entire bottom 2 rows of manhwa in the beginning
0:39 did you just use a sample of Everything Slips? That's a crazy niche and deep cut if so 😂
a man of culture should create a list of all shown anime in this video
i need it!
One of my favourite regression anime/manga I sometimes go back to is Erased. Currently I look forward to a new anime/manga called 7th Time Loop.
This is a beautiful well done video, the memes rains
op protags is a problem we never asked for. but we found it gigguk and now were stuck forever.
I love solo leveling with all my heart and then my favorite group made it's anime opening is just insane, I feel like I'm dreaming
Omg, he is god damn right, there is also a cultivation manhua, a whole new world and huge source of content for another video lol :D
Return of The SSS Class Ranker, i recommend this manhwa. The manhwa combined the semi-isekai/vr gaming & regression genre. It's my favorite latest manhwa. I don't know if you already read it, but i sure you will enjoy it.
Oh shit now that you mention it I DID read many stories that could be classified as this, maybe I just didn't read enough to make that connection yet.
If you guys want to read a good regression web novel you should read Mother of Learning. It's a mage mc stuck in a timeloop where the same month keep repeating and he has to figure out how to escape
from isekai to regression to cultivation defines the cycle perfectly
Just wanna say thank you Garnt, just finished what i can find of the light novel of Swordsmaster's youngest son. And boy did i have a good time, highly recommended🥰
Also, I can say without a doubt that SSS-Class Revival/Suicide Hunter is the manhwa that made me cry the most and is so fucking amazing. Highly recommend it to anyone who has an addiction to onion ninjas.
8:53 "instead of feeling like a dungeon, each floor is a kin to a different world" yeah... Kinda...
I've watched 2 minutes and already understood that I'm deeper in the consumers pit than I ever thought.
i cant wait for the orv video
I-I've read all your recommendation when you mentioned all of it..
7:20 ive seen the start of that manhua but it was read by someone on youtube
