Half saiyans are lowkey lucky AF. Like, imagine being able to live as a normal human without being forced into galactic military but you still have cool powers.
Not really, Saiyan pride is everything on king vegeta, imagine doing dirty chores of Saiyans while they laugh at you, as your inherited Sayian pride crumbles. All the while hearing about the glory of Saiyas with greater power level
@@superexclusive452 Tarble is a full Saiyan but he's had a relatively peaceful life by comparison. Even compared to Goku and some half Saiyans too like Gohan and future Trunks.
I wished for a Dragon Ball fan letter version of a Red Ribbon army soldier's experience when Kid Goku attacked, BUT after watching this (only halfway through) I am not stupid enough to not see the concept of a 10/10 movie or episode 🤝 Much love to your take❤
That would be pretty cool, imagine a FFVII Crisis Core type of RPG featuring Saiyan Warriors? Soldier from FFVII universe always reminded of Saiyans in a way.
But it’s all canon he just elaborated on what was only a single story from king Kai then Vegeta… then Broly is also canon. No it’s all canon, not made up
I think the only likely hole in the story is that the saiyans had the thought to force zenkai boosts. Apparently Vegeta never had one in the entire time he was an adult in the Frieza Force, because Cui was so certain their power levels were the same because they always had been. I would think the average Saiyan never experienced a zenkai, and I suspect if Frieza had even a slight inkling of that biological feature he would have deliberately sent Saiyans only to weak planets so they'd never have them, which would line up with how every other species in the Frieza Force seems to look down on Saiyans.
@@bobbodaskankI think a Saiyan would most likely have 1-2 zenkais in their lifetime. One during their informative years as an adolescent and maybe one more as an adult.
Honestly, one of the best alternative perspective fan-fics. The "bad" animations and drawings I liked a lot because of how pure and personal it felt. Thank you for sharing and having to courage to post this despite any resignations. Well worth it to me at least.
Before making this video, I had never really drawn in my life, let alone animated. I only had some basic editing skills. but I really wanted to give it a try, so I did. I know the quality isn’t the best, but I hope you guys enjoy my little story.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but Saiyans were always blood thirst and genocidal. This videos take is a very human stance on the Saiyan's condition. While Saiyan's didn't like to be ruled by Freeza and his father, they loved to rule over others.
@theopulentone1650 they weren't always blood Thirsty and genocidal. There was a SSG once upon a time. WHich means there were pure hearted saiyans. Additionally, taking Dragon Ball Legends into account, Shallot mentions that in his time, they're at war with "evil" saiyans. He never states the Planet, but it's highly likely Planet Sadala. We know where the Saiyans end up, so the evil saiyans clearly end up winning. They weren't always like this. Universe 6 shows what they could have been if Sadala hadn't been destroyed.
@@theopulentone1650 exactly, the good saiyans are just 10 at max, we have the legendary ssj, the super saiyan god and his or her friends, goku when gohan finds and take care of him, broly and tarble. And no vegeta is born evil and only changes after he gets on earth after namekusei explodes and meets bulma living with her and the earthlings. All the other saiyans are 100% evil, thats the point akira wanted to show in the history, even goku point this out when he is fighting frieza saying "yeah no shit they deserved to die" and also saying he is a saiyan FROM or RAISED on EARTH just further shows that he is way WAY different from the saiyans. Hell super saiyan is all about that on frieza arc at first, vegeta thought that only evil, bloodthirsty hearts could achieve super saiyan but what happens? A good heart saiyan raised on earth becomes the legendary super saiyan after his friend gets fatal shot, his son almost died and his best friend ( or even someone he thinks as a brother) dies in front of his eyes.
It also makes Vegetas tears so much more meaningful, he grew up with the fear, he saw his people being destroyed and he had to work slowly, and spend years without any hope. Fear can be crippling. Vegeta was crippled from 20+ years of 0 hope, knowing that the smallest uprise would kill you and the last few saiyans in the world, all the responsibility that was put on him when he was just 6 years old.
The saddest part about this is the fact that the death of the saiyan race was for the greater good because of how many planets they were leaving in ruins for the sake of Frieza's approval.
@@SUPERRAMY Specifically... Freza: OMG my stupid monkey warrior force was almost completely wiped out by a rock! Although they call themselves a warrior race, in practice they're essentially just bullies whose idea of a "strong opponent" is someone who is strong enough to not be immediately curb stomped, but not powerful enough to actually win. Goku is an anomaly because he actually prefers to fight people who can actually defeat him. Raditz and Vegeta mock him for being gentle, but he’s more true to the Saiyan spirit than they are
Goku is a more effective and logical look at the saiyan mantra but he had the benefit of guidance the others never had. When its kill or be killed and no in between i can see why fighting a stronger opponent wouldnt be exciting until they are actually stronger than that opponent. Goku could fight stronger oppoenents that didnt always necessarily kill him he learned to enjoy it and that rationale was able to carry over even when his life was on the line + plus the saiyan genes. If he was actually living on planet Vegeta where its just death, destruction and slavery from childhood he wouldn't be the Goku we Know.
@ That is why humans will always be important in the series. Although there are various stronger races, their influence shaped the weakest Saiyan to inspire a Namekian, other Saiyans, Androids and Majin and even Frieza himself to become stronger than they would’ve had they followed their own base nature.
Yeah it’s also part of why the universe 6 saiyans are so strong. Maybe not compared to Goku & Gohan type strong but their hearts are in the right place yet they’d demolish a group of 6 universe 7 saiyans if they approached them with that evil stuff lmao. Basically from what we’ve seen they live the most similar to human-like.
Goku grew up on good nurturing soil literally called Earth. Goku isn't biologically different from the average Saiyan, but growing up on Earth gave him oppurtunities other Saiyans never got and he was able to realize a Saiyan's true potential. He was taught to uplift others and the people around him reciprocated. Training from masters, beans that heal all wounds, miracle balls that cheat death, traininig from literal gods and gravity machines. Sensu beans + Gravity Chamber is like a grinding exploit in a videogame. Remember how Goku's Kamehameha that he learned as a kid and all his friends knew how to do blew Raditz's mind despite Vegeta having a simliar technique? Earthlings were taught to lift others up, while Saiyans were taught to bring others down. If you were born too strong, King Vegeta literally plots to get rid of you.
This is why the Bardock special is so gas, and why the beginning of DBS Broly is so much fun. We honestly need more from this time period; I would’ve even mind seeing more of Frieza’s other planets/warriors.

one thing... Tuffles were completely whiped out, exterminated by the Saiyans, there are none of them left, only a few experiments and those are non-canonical.
There is a fan theory that, much like Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals, the Tuffles weren’t all exterminated but bred out, having been hybridized with their conquerers. This theory first came about around the time of the Super Broly movie when they showed Saiyan scientists who had strange accents and people believe that their intelligence and manner of speaking came from mixed ancestry.

Bro you cooked so hard with this, at first was just expecting a summary of the typical saiyan life then it dived into something unique with the rebellion then his son.. now I’m crying
@@gb.510 not exactly bro. Bardock did have a little cameo appearance but this was NOT a 1 for 1 retelling of bardocks story. There’s a lot more nuance in this story like a faction of saiyans who work like a secret society. There was no such thing in the actual dbz special, which is why this man cooked so hard with this. Video. There was also mentions of the saiyan god yamoshi which inspired the legend of the super saiyan, giving the people hope. There was so much little details sprinkled in that made this its own original thing while still feeling like it could be exactly like dragon ball. This was perfect
Saiyans don't train, other than their natural strength, zenkai boosts and whatever power they earn in combat. Martial arts training is somewhat unique to the Earthlings in the DB universe. That's why Vegeta and Napa were so shocked by Goku's power cuz in there society a low class warrior could never become as strong as the highest ranking/strongest "elite" saiyans due to the simple fact that the concept of personal development through vigorous exercise is utterly alien to them. In fact, this trait is shared with almost every alien race in the show; the only other beings who seem to focus on training are gods who tutor their champions like King Kai.
The message was the son surviving. The mother was able to steal an attack ball and send their only son away within the last minute before the explosion of Planet Vegeta. However, without any much time to set up coordinates to a certain planet, the power ball containing the child remains afloat in space, wandering aimlessly through the cosmos and thriving in oxygen only. Just as when hope seems lost for the son, a strange portal opened out of nowhere and sucked the power ball in, transporting the boy into an unfamiliar universe. Eventually, the ship would land in a habitable planet despite the lack of set coordinates. Upon impact, the ship would relay the message of the son's survival to the father's scouter, but just as the story said, the father drew his last breath before he could even open and read the message. But he can rest assured, that his son is alive and well sonewhere far away. Adopted, raised, and trained in a safer, more gentle planet known as "Planet Sadala". And in years time, the boy will grow up into a good-natured, polite, humble, and brave warrior of the Sadala Defense Forces, and would adapt to the rapid evolutionary changes that would result in the loss of his tail.
I like the general idea but have the historian listen in on Goku's dad telling King Vegeta that freeza is gonna wi[pe out the Sayan race kidnap his son in the chaos and sending him through a top-secret dimensional portal King Vegeta ordered built only to meet up with the main cast in super at the inter-universal tournament
According to how Goku was when he was taken from his incubator to his pod sent to Earth, Goku was instinctively violent till he fell and got bonked on the head, so most of the Saiyans actually enjoy battles.
@JoseLopez-wg7yh Nope, even in the DBS version Goku had issues, and the line of him having bumped his head back in Z (and everything else about his backstory) was never contradicted.

The only issue of the lore is that this period basically lasted only a few years. From the moment the Sayians conqueror planet Tuffle and turned it into Planet Vejeta, they lasted only a few years in the Freeza Force. Before that, depending on the lore, the Sayians either lived decades as a type of tribal people on the planet until they conquered the Tuffle or did something else
2:13 The Galick Gun was specifically Vegetas technique, like the Double Sunday and rebellion spear for Raditz and Bardock, you're just taught how to shoot something potent enough to kill and start fires to cook meat enough to not be poisonous and are sent on your merry murderous way.
It’s interesting to think about the low class warrior saiyans who were sent to planets as infants, like there’s gotta be some who just conquered their planet and never came back to planet vegeta or maybe they just liked the planet and never came back and etc.
problem is that they would get a visit from big brother raditz or his equivalent, and they would either A: be beaten to submission, or B: be beaten to submission by the stronger saiyan that's sent after them if they manage to defeat the raditz equivalent.
Most likely the plan would've been for a Saiyan of a higher class to go to the planet after they assumed the child Saiyan had conquered it and take control of the situation, given the fact it was low-class Saiyans that were usually sent away (Which Goku was).
@ 1: they get beaten to near death and recover in pods I’m pretty sure they know what they are. vegeta for example after beating beaten on earth and recovering in his pod coming back stronger to namek 2: they DEFINITELY got GREAT ki control, they shoot beams and FLY, don’t forget they can control their ozaru forms and make fake moons, look at the bardock movie

The thing I'd want most from Dragon Ball is the ability to locate people I care about, no matter how far away they might be, and instantly move myself to their location. I'd be perfect for an introvert that feels guilty about not keeping in touch. Only the return journey would have to be considered. In short, I'd have rather been a Yadrat. A saiyan that learns instant transmission would be alright though, maybe.
I loved most of the headcanons spread around the story and how it connected to it's ending, makes it much more dramatic that Kakarot, son of Bardock who sent his son away to a far planet, actually avenged all of them with a puny power level of 2 from birth. Please keep it coming, sir.

Anyone else notice the thing that kept Saiyans under Frieza's rule (the lack of willingness to work together to defeat a powerful foe controlling you from a distance) matches how Japan saw their situation with America back in WWII? (Also, the message totally said your son made it off-world)
Only thing I dislike about this video is the "The End" as it shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the Saiyans. None of them ran. They just stood there, watching blankly. So used to kill or be killed that they didn't even fathom running away. And the second thing is that not a single Saiyan helped stop Frieza's death beam. Only Bardock Outside of that, great video!
While it was terrible of Frieza to kill the Saiyans after all the loyal work they did under him and his father, it's hard to feel sorry for them since they were extirpational Space Pirates long before King Cold conquered them. This feeling is carried over to characters like Goku and King Kai. They both see the fate of the Saiyans as karma and Goku even tells Frieza that the Saiyans paid for their mistakes.
@@QuiteFunnyIsnt1t How many planets did that Saiyans destroy, how many lives did they take, civilizations did they destroy? They even attempted to do it twice, of their own volition in Vegeta's case, in their lust for power and conquest. That was before King Cold subjugated them, of course. It wouldn't surprise me if some even enjoyed committing genocide on Frieza's orders.
I say the message is that the mother got their son to an escape pod before the planet blew, and they're coming to retrieve him, homing in on the signal from his broken Scouter.
Agreed. It would suck to be someone with human psychology to be born as a Saiyan. Saiyans, however, don't crave the love and affection of others like we do. They crave battle. A non-combatant job to a Saiyan is unfulfilling. Think about Yusuke from Yu Yu Hakusho. Keiko thought what was best for Yusuke was that he be in school, living a normal life, and that he was refusing to do that just to be stubborn. But when she saw him fighting Chu in the Dark Tournament, she realized this was where he belonged. This is what made him happy. Same with Saiyans. As humans, we think because we want mommy and daddy love, we want to be safe, we want peace, then that's the case with a race that looks like us. Saiyans are happy in battle. Those babies that are sent to other planets naturally tend to go on a murderous rampage. Because that's what their Saiyan DNA programs them to do.
@dancre Each Saiyan has the choice to do what Paragus did. And with Saiyans now being written as a more civilized society, more would probably choose to do that. They're not portrayed as the barbaric people they were in Z anymore, unfortunately.
It wasn't a message. The scauter detected new presence. It was Future Trunks and Supreme Kai of Time. They healed you and recruted into the Time Patrol!
Canonically speaking, that message was a mass text sent out to every single scouter in the entire freeza force, relaying the "news" that planet vegeta just unexpectedly blew up via a giant mysterious meteor hitting it out of nowhere.

Poor Bardock. Neither him, his wife, nor his firstborn could escape saiyan life. He had already sent one son to the saiyan war machine, but he could only save his second son before frieza even took that choice from them.

Pretty sure Saiyans themselves have unlimited potential for strength. Goku got so strong because he actually continued to strive for greatness rather then most saiyans who stopped when they felt like they were good enough
@@Z5-XB It really does seem like this is what Toriyama was implying. Virtually all Saiyans, given enough time and struggle and training, have the ability to grow unbelievably strong and talented. Goku is proof of that, since he started out as one of the weakest Saiyans alive. Because of all the training and hardship he had to go through, he was close enough to even Nappa and Vegeta's level that he was soon able to match and surpass them. This is something Frieza obviously noticed and a key reason why he decided to be rid of them. If someone like Goku could get so strong through frequent battles, imagine just how strong most other Saiyans (whose starting power levels are orders of magnitude higher than Goku's) would have become if Frieza kept using them for war. Eventually, there would have been nobody (besides maybe Beerus or Buu themselves) that could have stood a chance at measuring up to them.
I love this. One small fix though The "Galick gun" is not a "basic" technique. It's one of Prince Vegeta's signature techniques. A technique he can cast because he's so strong. Most sayians don't have the capacity for planet busting. Even Nappa, considered an elite - was "amazing" for being able to wipe out an entire human city with one blow (I'm saying human because space faring alien cities are probably stronger and designed to withstand such blows)
Idk I kind of like the idea that the Gallack Gun is just a standard saiyan soldier technique but Vegeta is just so powerful that he raises this relatively basic Ki wave into a tool capable of eradicating worlds. That shows his power eveb moreso but also shows that he's got the same battle training that his subjects did.
The message was from his son, who shared his father's ability to "see through the haze", and quickly discerned that King Vegeta's recall order was some sort of plot. The moment he saw the giant fireball coming Planet Vegeta's way, he immediately went and got Saiyan space pods for himself and his mother, and got out just in the nick of time.
I have a fixated state with the notion of power levels and their growth rate + upper limit as per "Zenkai." In my head canon, there are 9 Grades or Classes of Zenkai and each one has a specific upper limit in Power before the character either maxes out their potential or has to find a way to awaken a higher class of Zenkai. Higher class of Zenkai is only unlocked when your biology attains high enough integrity to maintain the increased power without detonating. The Grades or Clases of Zenkai are as follows: 1) Super Elite. The Super Eliete rise to 1.333... times their previous power level when surviving a near death experience(be it from combat or overtraining or from surving poison). They have a maximum power level of 18000 before they can enter the Broken Zenkai state which facilities emergence of the Super Saiyan potential. 2) First Class. First Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.25 and a max power level of 9000 before they can attempt upgrade to Super Elite. 3) Second Class. Second Class Saiyans have a Zenka rate of 1.1875 and max power level of 4500 before they can attempt upgrade to First Class Saiyan. 4) Third Class Saiyan. Third Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.140625 and max power level of 2250 before they can attempt upgrade to Second Class Saiyan. 5) Fourth Class Saiyan. Fourth Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.10546875 and max power level of 1125 before they can attempt upgrade to Third Class Saiyan. 6) Fifth Class Saiyan. Fifth Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.0791015625 and max power level of 562.5 before they can attempt upgrade to Fourth Class Saiyan. 7) Sixth Class Saiyan. Sixth Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.0593261719 and max power level of 281.25 before they can attempt upgrade to Fifth Class Saiyan. This the Class Goku had grown into after he consumed the Ultra Divine Water. He stays in this class all the way up to his first death. Upon his death, Goku was tasked with traversing Snakeway in quest for higuer learning from the divine being known as King Kai. This is where he chanced upon a fruit guarded by the two Ogre brothers Fez and Mez. That fruit gave Goku double his 416 power level, granting him a power of 832 before he even got to King Kai's planet. This effectively allowed Goku a rise from Sixth to Fourth Class. His training under King Kai then boosted Goku's power by 10 times, an Oozaru worth of difference as he arrived to a power level of 8320 or "OVER EIGHT THOUSAND" as a newly minted First Class Saiyan. 8) Seventh Class Saiyan. Seventh Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.0444946289 and max power level of 140.625 before they can attempt upgrade to Sixth Class Saiyan. Goku crossed this boundary when he first met Tien during his three year training arc between the point of crushing the Red Ribon army to wish Bora(Upa's father) back to life and the 22nd Budokai where Tien takes the victory although the two were tied at a power level of 180 each. 9) Eight Class Saiyan. Eight Class Saiyans have about 1/10th the Zenkai rate of a Super Elite Saiyan. The exact Zenkai rate of an Eight Class Saiyan is 1.0333709717 and max power level of 70.3125 before they can attempt upgrade to Seventh Class Saiyan. A Ninth Class Saiyan wouldn't even be considered a Saiyan as their max power level is 35.151625 which is also the upper limit of normal humans who've yet to awaken "Ki Sense" and its limit breaking side effects. Humans are effectively just Ninth Class Saiyans that can't grow tails. *Key note:* The lower your initial Class is the more Zenkai boosts you need to suffer before your biology is fortified enough to survive the transition into a higher class. The process is like a conversation between your will and your body. *Only the most indomitable will has a chance to rise from the lowest to the highest Class.* Ways to boost integrity and thus survive the boundary crossing between grades of Zenkai: 1: The Oozaru form. Oozaru form emerges when special cells within your tail respond to the brain activity stimulated through your eyes when they lock onto the full moon. This moon-brain-tail feedback of energy resonating throughout your nervous system. This resonance fills your body with enough energy to trigger atavism within all your body's cells. The ansestral form emerges as your body suddenly grows into a giant ape with ten times your base power level. You lose your "sense of self" as your eyes become blood red to indicate your DNA directly controlling every expression of your body. Few have refined enough Sapience to reign in the wild flow of impulse so the power isn't wasted but focused into assisting overall development of one's character and power level. Among those without enough Sapience to directly control their Oozaru form are those whose gentle nature naturally facilities deeper or more genuine bonds between their companions. These gentle Saiyans can be reached when they hear the voice of a loved one call out to them, this is how Gohan was able to regain a small portion of his will to do what is right when Goku and Krillin got him to focus his wrath on "the bad man" that was Vegeta at the time. These gentle Saiyans can increase their Sapience over time, eventually allowing them full wakefulness and control over their Oozaru form. It's as if the DNA bows(submits itself) to a pure heart, entrusting more control to its user. 2: Ki Sense. Ki Sense is a special blending of all your basic material sense to birth a meta sense or synesthesia. This synesthesia can be developed in many ways. Much like Zenkai, Ki Sense also stratifies in grade or class. For non-Saitans: Ki Sense the key to reforging the essence of one's physiology toward higher grades of integrity and power. A Saiyan who gains Ki Sense, has a higher chance of crossing the genetic boundaries that limit his Zenkai ratio and subsequent power level limit. 3: Ultra Divine Water. The Ultra Divine Water is a type of poison that kills "weakness" or "cuts away at the unessential" in Bruce Lee talk. It's consumption leads to death of the user's limits, most often taking their very life as that life seems to be their greatest limit. The Ultra Divine Water took the lives of the 13 human warriors who came before Goku was the 14th and it even claimed the lofe of Golu whose heart fully stopped as it cleansed him of "weakness" in unlocking his hidden potential. Goku's heart revives moments after his death, with essence of the Oozaru form surging outward so powerfully that maximum Zenkai ratio was unlocked prematurely in the ressurected Goku. Note: *This is all my head canon, I think it is a good framework for a role playing game centred on Saiyans.*
convoluted much? even the most complex TTRPG don't have that much contrived BS. low, mid, high, elite. Not a good framework if it works against player/DM. Make it simple as a concept, make it complex as a class. Or as a race you get feats of strength afterall breaking barrier from low going to mid class is a feat. that is such an asinine system to work with. If that is a class based system, might as well allow players for example druid to take all subclass and reach lvl 20 in 4 session.
Thinking about it Raditz actually got it really good, at least in relation to his fellow saiyan. He didn't need to go through the majority of the whole training process, and never served under king vegeta. He also likely didn't take on most of the battles, as the Saibamen, Nappa, and Vegeta would likely be over kill, Probably why he was so weak also
I love the effort put into this but let me give my view on how some parts are wrong or misinformed. Biggest issue is that you are treating Saiyans like humans. I don't really blame you since Toriyama retconned Saiyans to be more human and hate working for Frieza. 1. (Birth) If you are a low level Saiyan, you just go to lowly ranked planets to conquer, like Earth. I hope you are not getting this "Low level Saiyans just cook and clean" from Dragonball Super because Toriyama retconned the Saiyans to be more human. All Low Levels fight and I imagine that the few who really cant, those are shunned people and are forced to be janitors or something. The bottom pole of Saiyan society. 2. (Training) The whole kids fighting other kids is from Dragonball Zero, so it's a good reference since that was actually a better version than Dragonball Minus. Since when was the Galick Gun something they taught everyone? Raditz didn't do it, Nappa didn't, and Bardock didn't. 3. (Zenkais) Also Zenkai boosts weren't that well known back then because if they were, it wouldn't come to a shock to Frieza and the others. Plus if they could abuse Zenkai boosts, they would do it all the time. Bardock was the only one that abused it. Saiyans weren't masochists "You'll love getting your ass beat and being near death, you'll get zenkais ". No, Saiyans get P I S S E D from getting their ass handed to them. Zenkais were likely frowned upon for anyone to rely on them, they are a warrior race. Vegeta was freaked out when Goku just landed a few good hits. So Zenkais were likely only known to Saiyan Elites or even Royal Family secret. 4. (Oozaru). Saiyans don't teach you to control your Oozaru form, that privilege was only for the Saiyan Elites. Likely due to King Vegeta fearing a rebellion from an Oozaru catching him off guard 5. (Saiyans and purpose). You are once again treating Saiyans like humans "Now that your training is complete. You are ready to fight, conquer and kill. Wither you want it or not does not matter, it is your purpose." They do want it. All Saiyans hunger for battle and destruction. Its built in their blood. The Saiyans were blindly loyal to Frieza BECAUSE they could wipe out entire species and be rewarded for it. 6. (Planet Tiers). This makes no sense. Frieza sent Saiyans to mostly lower to mid-tier planets. Its only when Saiyans started reaching high tier planets is when Frieza was getting worried. You are acting like Frieza hates the Saiyans right from the start when really, he gave them a lot of special treatment, espeically King and Prince Vegeta. Frieza actually liked the Saiyans but it was King Vegeta and his elites that either gave him bad looks or talked back to him, because King Vegeta pride was dangerous. King Vegeta didnt want to share power, he wanted to rule all and destroy all. King Vegeta would have been worse then Frieza if he was in charge of the empire. 7. (Empathy) Saiyans have no empathy for other races that they slaughter. Saiyans do get a salary but what they really like is just the food and good place to rest back at home. This is something I loved in Bardock special. We see other races of people living with the Saiyans, building their infrastructure, nursing them back to health and feeding them delicious food. Its a Saiyan dream.
My only point of contention is Frieza's hatred of the saiyans starts with their legend of the Super Saiyan which he probably totally dismissed until he saw how quickly the Saiyans were becoming more powerful as they conquered more planets. King Vegeta is shown constantly holding his tongue in Freiza's presence and the only time he is shown speaking out is when Freiza kills him. And the Zenkai Boost thing, you're not wrong but it should be noted that without someone like Dende or Senzus to heal you quickly being beaten nearly to death is a long and strenuous process that would seemingly interfere with their planet conquering ntm they already see themselves as stronger than most beings they'd be fighting so abusing it is also just impractical in their way of life on top of the Saiyan ego making constant defeat in battle unfeasible.
@@cysilversoul Im sure Frieza thought little of them as much as any other race, he didn't see them as a threat. But them being a simple alien race that only needed food and place to sleep, made it ideal for him to play nice so to speak. The Saiyans laughed off Bardock on the idea of Frieza betraying them so its very likely Frieza did not openly disrespect them like he so cartoonishly did in Dragonball Super. Frieza only started calling Saiyans 'monkeys' when he was losing control of his emotions when fighting Vegeta and Goku because they ruined his dream. Frieza going "Heeey monkeys~" in the DBS Broly movie seemed... forced. Like "Hey he said the thing", the meme. You are right about King Vegeta, my bad. Maybe I remembered a bad dub line, I do remember King Vegeta still gave Frieza a bad look and that's as much disrespectful to Frieza then openly insulting him. I agree with you. Bardock was the only one who really took advantage of zenkais originally without knowing it or maybe he did but kept it to himself? I know Retconned Bardock is weak since Toriyama revealed that your rank is based on your power level and you can move up ranks. Which was not how it was perceived before or Vegeta would just personally see Goku as an elite Saiyan like himself. I agree thats likely how the hatred started. This wasnt shown in the English dub but in the original JPN dub, it was actually Zarbon feeding ideas to Frieza ear that the Saiyans are dangerous and they are getting too strong, especially if they all choose to rebel and group up to attack Frieza. Zarbon is the only one shown to really hate the Saiyans, likely on a personal level. Maybe they destroyed his planet? He is a prince like Vegeta.
@@TheUnoriginalDrCorgi Thats why I stopped watching the new stuff lol. I mean the moment they made Bardock a nice guy, I tapped out. I mean Bardock feeling terrible and sparing a woman and her child because they remind him of Gine and his kids was just... cringe. Like all aliens he has killed so far have been feral animalistic alien races, wow. They made Saiyan life seem mundane and boring to them like its a job at the office, when in reality, Saiyans were happiest they were and it was a dream job. What I didn't get was why there wasn't any non-Saiyans living on Planet Vegeta and why it looked so broken down except for King Vegeta castle. As if Frieza didn't offer Saiyan race any benefits to working with him. I think Toriyama regretted how dark he made the Saiyans so he just changed the culture and personality to be more human. Plus they make it clear that Saiyans were only bad because of Frieza and King Vegeta. Really bad moves. I wont even talk about Daima. I don't like it when artist regrets what they wrote at their later years when they revisit their material. Because you had a different view/build of them back then. He made the Saiyans just quirky humans when they had a unique culture. So basically, yeah its canon but it may as well be fanfiction based on the Funimation dub with how much it changed from the original.
"those were all lies" - Truly? Raditz, an incredibly low-level guy, who's like 1.5 saibamen in one body almost wiped out the earth (if not for goku and pikkolo fighting him together he'd beat aall the strongest earthlings pretty easily). I think there's a lot of civilian planets and not that many with powerful warriors
I had this entire four paragraph explanation of why this is cool headcanon at first, but focused too much on things we know Saiyans didn't believe in, like training. Zenkais boosts likely were purely a battlefield reward. Only the very, very, very rare Saiyans had empathy. How they were getting stronger with each generation, but relied too much on the Great Ape to actually be truly pushed in battle. etc. Then I got to about seven minutes in, and I realised that despite the title and the presentation at first, this isn't some kind of description of how Saiyans were in lore. I realised there, with the "maybe you're different", that actually this is for all intents a fanfic following one of those empathic Saiyan warriors who wanted so much more for the Saiyans, but just could not fathom the true depths of Freeza's cruelty and fear. Very nice work.
The message said ''Your son was sent to a distant unknown Planet...he will be okay.'' **Camera slowly pans down to an attack ball drifting through the cosmos** the boy would be floating through the vastness of the infinite void we know as Space. Drifting off to his new home, one far, far away from the brutal life on Planet Vegeta. Months pass on, as the attack ball finally lands on the non-hostile planet known as Earth. As the attack ball smashes into the ocean at break-neck speeds, making a massive splash, leaving a massive chunk in the ocean. With an old man stepping out, to investigate the bizarre occurrence. (All I'll say for right now, 10 likes for part 2:)
The old man would walk out, running over to the large water crater outside his house. With him finding the boy then deciding to give him to the name Goku. As the years go on, Goku is raised and training by the old man, the old man is the world renowned Muten Roshi or the Turtle Hermit. The boy on the 4th year of his life, was dropped into a Coral Reath by accident by the old man. Bumping his head, but seemingly miraculously, he survived. There was no longer a violent, primal Saiyan in him. It was now a kindhearted Earthling boy. The boy would learn the ways of the Turtle School, training rigorously every day. Until 5 long years pass on, and he's reached the age of 8. He is now determined to enter the World Martial Arts Tournament he's seen on TV. After training for 4 years, he'd finally sign up for the Tournament, being encouraged by Roshi. He would now enter the waiting room, in the preliminary area, to receive his match. (10 likes for part 3, and thank you so much for 10 on my last one:)
Even with the lower quality animation lol.. this was an amazing story. It gripped me by the soul! Would love to see more of this! You’ve earned a New sub my friend, thank you!
I didn't really know much, this gave me some insight int othe life of a saiyan, and also gave me a really cool story! I really hope the message was something automatic, saying something about his son being deployed last minute, or any good news really.
im a sucker for good ending and i know i saw anime but i wanted it to end good, the story is really really good, the last message was i think a picture of him and his wife and their son together, by his wife (i dunno if scouters can do that but lemme dream ) his wife saw him rush up in sky, her female intuition told her everything she had to know, all the chaos and panic meant the end of her species, tears did fell off her eyes, she saw her husband sprint towards the sky, time was feeling slow (maybe because brain is dilating the time preparing for death but heart isnt ready thats why spirit is sad), she saw her husband's back he was the strongest, or the smartest, heck he even wasnt the bravest, he was simple man and he had a heart, he was kind and thought his people, something beautiful that you havent seen in forever in saiyan society, she wished to see her son one last time , but she knows by the time she would reach him it would be too late, she saw picture that they had spent some money on to take together it was costly but it gave happiness and memories, she opened her scouter and sent the image, as she smiles she notices her husband was making dorky face in the photo, she smiles and instantly the blast makes contact and everything disintegrates, nothing was left (i feel i made it worse), but due to something cosmic miracle the message did got sent even though there was nothing left, even though the blast shouldve have interfered with the message but it did got sent. i hope in next life they get to live a better life than the life they lived in his era

Funny how none of the saiyans had the idea of training, they could easily train and overpower the higher classes
Half saiyans are lowkey lucky AF. Like, imagine being able to live as a normal human without being forced into galactic military but you still have cool powers.
Tarble though
Tarble isn’t half Saiyan
And crazy potential
Not really, Saiyan pride is everything on king vegeta, imagine doing dirty chores of Saiyans while they laugh at you, as your inherited Sayian pride crumbles. All the while hearing about the glory of Saiyas with greater power level
@@superexclusive452 Tarble is a full Saiyan but he's had a relatively peaceful life by comparison. Even compared to Goku and some half Saiyans too like Gohan and future Trunks.
Screw the accuracy, this is peak. This gives me similar vibes of One Piece Fan Letter. I need more stories like this
I wished for a Dragon Ball fan letter version of a Red Ribbon army soldier's experience when Kid Goku attacked, BUT after watching this (only halfway through) I am not stupid enough to not see the concept of a 10/10 movie or episode 🤝

I would love a Low-Class Saiyan Warrior RPG, imagine you and a couple buddies squadding up to face diverse challenges to conquer worlds
all to be ultimately killed by Frieza
That would be pretty cool, imagine a FFVII Crisis Core type of RPG featuring Saiyan Warriors? Soldier from FFVII universe always reminded of Saiyans in a way.
A manga/anime and a videogame, prequel to dragonball events, so with no dragonballs wishes bs would be amazing.

But it’s all canon he just elaborated on what was only a single story from king Kai then Vegeta… then Broly is also canon. No it’s all canon, not made up
My headcanon is that they just assign you to mission without any background knowledge of your powers since birth

Better then what i can do
Yooooooooo this is a really good vid for a beginner!!! Keep it up breh i just subbed
While this video primarily focuses on saiyan's origin I think this story made Goku beating Freiza 10x more epic than it already is
Definitely did for me. Just adds more depth to how far a low-class Saiyan like Goku has come
Sorry to burst your bubble, but Saiyans were always blood thirst and genocidal.
I think the message was the alert that planet vegeta was "destroyed by an astroid"
Bro this is even sadder 💀

@
That is why humans will always be important in the series.
Warriors are not fighters.
We honestly need more from this time period; I would’ve even mind seeing more of Frieza’s other planets/warriors.
an RPG as a saiyan conquering worlds with your crew of 4 or 5 people in that era would be great! last level is vs Frieza

25:56 “we found him”
This video confirmed what I’ve always believed, we need a Saiyan origin movie entirely set on Planet Vegeta. Good job, bro!
@MementoGames-sq4dx,
This should be a series instead,
that We Americans should have gotten that in 2000, long before the criminally short Broly Movie opening.
But for this to REALLY have Saiyan Saga vibes
1) The ORIGINAL versions of Bardock/The characters would have to be used
2) The Soundtrack/Voice cast would need be a healthy blend of Ocean, Funimation, and appropriate Japanese/zkai music
3) We can still use Gine and Beerus, but Super references/retcons would need to be kept minimum/non existent.
4) This would be on manga/Toonami first, streaming a week or so after, then on Dvd sets (with extras).
5) This would include Goku adventures up to Bulma arriving and a summary of Z/Z Movies -Super/Gt
6) Like with the three main Tenchi Continuities, We'd also have the Movie/Gt and Super versions available
To satisfy all audience preferences,
which would include "Z" versions of Paragus and Broly for the "Movie/Gt" timeline versions of this prequel series, and the retcon versions of them and Bardock for the Super continuity.
7) All three prequel versions HAVE TO start during the Vegeta the 1st/2nd era., as to especially see how all the Team Bardocks had formed.
8) This would lead to A History of Trunks/Cell Prequel Series for
A) The Z-Super Continuity
B) The Z Movie - Gt continuity...
Including showing how the Movie Trunks And Cell Timelines dealt with Future Babidi, and Movie Future M-2 (with a possible Baby possessed Broly and Paragus).
Also since the movies lead to Gt, An ENTIRE Db series is needed showing how this franchise played out
Between the Sixteen "non-canon" Dragon Ball Films, INCLUDING showing the slight divergences in the "Future Timeline" versions of Return of Cooler, and Future Goku dying to defeat Super Android 13.. before 17 and 18 show up weeks later.

one thing...

It’s interesting to think about the low class warrior saiyans who were sent to planets as infants, like there’s gotta be some who just conquered their planet and never came back to planet vegeta or maybe they just liked the planet and never came back and etc.
That last one is just Goku.
problem is that they would get a visit from big brother raditz or his equivalent, and they would either A: be beaten to submission, or B: be beaten to submission by the stronger saiyan that's sent after them if they manage to defeat the raditz equivalent.
Most likely the plan would've been for a Saiyan of a higher class to go to the planet after they assumed the child Saiyan had conquered it and take control of the situation, given the fact it was low-class Saiyans that were usually sent away (Which Goku was).
Or they got adopted. Like aaaw little baby. Or they thought it was a son of a God lol

Maybe, but its better to have the right to choose, right?
@dancre Each Saiyan has the choice to do what Paragus did. And with Saiyans now being written as a more civilized society, more would probably choose to do that. They're not portrayed as the barbaric people they were in Z anymore, unfortunately.

All that thanx to training!
I love how you can see your improvement in illustrating as the video progresses. Good job, bro!
bro just dropped a planet earth documentary on a saiyan 😭
I love this. One small fix though
The "Galick gun" is not a "basic" technique.
Another small fix: when you say "Prince Vegeta" you show KING Vegeta.
Though the point still stands for both.
Another small fix: the tuuffle race went extinct in universe 7
Idk I kind of like the idea that the Gallack Gun is just a standard saiyan soldier technique but Vegeta is just so powerful that he raises this relatively basic Ki wave into a tool capable of eradicating worlds. That shows his power eveb moreso but also shows that he's got the same battle training that his subjects did.
@idk2167I mean sure but you could make the argument they went extinct when Frieza blew up the planet and there used to be a few survivors.
@idk2167 you mean in real Dragonball and not DBS lies about so called 13 universes?
The message was from his son, who shared his father's ability to "see through the haze", and quickly discerned that King Vegeta's recall order was some sort of plot. The moment he saw the giant fireball coming Planet Vegeta's way, he immediately went and got Saiyan space pods for himself and his mother, and got out just in the nick of time.

I have a fixated state with the notion of power levels and their growth rate + upper limit as per "Zenkai."
In my head canon, there are 9 Grades or Classes of Zenkai and each one has a specific upper limit in Power before the character either maxes out their potential or has to find a way to awaken a higher class of Zenkai.
Higher class of Zenkai is only unlocked when your biology attains high enough integrity to maintain the increased power without detonating.
The Grades or Clases of Zenkai are as follows:
1)
Super Elite.
The Super Eliete rise to 1.333... times their previous power level when surviving a near death experience(be it from combat or overtraining or from surving poison).
They have a maximum power level of 18000 before they can enter the Broken Zenkai state which facilities emergence of the Super Saiyan potential.
2)
First Class.
First Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.25 and a max power level of 9000 before they can attempt upgrade to Super Elite.
3)
Second Class.
Second Class Saiyans have a Zenka rate of 1.1875 and max power level of 4500 before they can attempt upgrade to First Class Saiyan.
4)
Third Class Saiyan.
Third Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.140625 and max power level of 2250 before they can attempt upgrade to Second Class Saiyan.
5)
Fourth Class Saiyan.
Fourth Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.10546875 and max power level of 1125 before they can attempt upgrade to Third Class Saiyan.
6)
Fifth Class Saiyan.
Fifth Class Saiyans have a Zenkai rate of 1.0791015625 and max power level of 562.5 before they can attempt upgrade to Fourth Class Saiyan.
7)
Sixth Class Saiyan.
8)
Seventh Class Saiyan.
9)
Eight Class Saiyan.
*Key note:*
The lower your initial Class is the more Zenkai boosts you need to suffer before your biology is fortified enough to survive the transition into a higher class. The process is like a conversation between your will and your body. *Only the most indomitable will has a chance to rise from the lowest to the highest Class.*
Ways to boost integrity and thus survive the boundary crossing between grades of Zenkai:
1:
The Oozaru form.
2:
Ki Sense.
Ki Sense is a special blending of all your basic material sense to birth a meta sense or synesthesia.
This synesthesia can be developed in many ways.
Much like Zenkai, Ki Sense also stratifies in grade or class.
For non-Saitans:
Ki Sense the key to reforging the essence of one's physiology toward higher grades of integrity and power.
A Saiyan who gains Ki Sense, has a higher chance of crossing the genetic boundaries that limit his Zenkai ratio and subsequent power level limit.
3:
Ultra Divine Water.
Note:
*This is all my head canon, I think it is a good framework for a role playing game centred on Saiyans.*
convoluted much?
even the most complex TTRPG don't have that much contrived BS.
low, mid, high, elite.
@@clementinefillianore715 cool story.
Hmm Nappa in this list is definitely a mid class warrior
Likely due to King Vegeta fearing a rebellion from an Oozaru catching him off guard
I mean you said it yourself, toriyama retconned it himself. So it's the canon.
Facts
My goat of making dragon ball videos right here.
Man, the ending of videos like this isn’t supposed to be that sad.
The story of the saiyans in frieza/cold era could be a whole saga
imagine the message at the end just being a few strong words.
"I'll avenge you."
Bruh, at this point, this is basically just becoming a trend 💀
You perfectly articulated what it is like to live on planet Vegeta. I think it is beautiful.
Bro needs to do the life of a half saiyan and a saiyan transported to earth
He landed on Master Roshi's Island!!
This made me look at the saiyans from another perspective.
I really had a pride and sad feeling in the last dialogue
It is really very deep and touching😢
👏👏👏👏HATS OFF for this amazing creation
Even with the lower quality animation lol.. this was an amazing story. It gripped me by the soul!
Would love to see more of this!
You’ve earned a New sub my friend, thank you!
I didn't really know much, this gave me some insight int othe life of a saiyan, and also gave me a really cool story! I really hope the message was something automatic, saying something about his son being deployed last minute, or any good news really.
im a sucker for good ending and i know i saw anime but i wanted it to end good, the story is really really good,
the last message was i think a picture of him and his wife and their son together, by his wife (i dunno if scouters can do that but lemme dream )
his wife saw him rush up in sky, her female intuition told her everything she had to know, all the chaos and panic meant the end of her species, tears did fell off her eyes, she saw her husband sprint towards the sky, time was feeling slow (maybe because brain is dilating the time preparing for death but heart isnt ready thats why spirit is sad),
she saw her husband's back he was the strongest, or the smartest, heck he even wasnt the bravest, he was simple man and he had a heart, he was kind and thought his people, something beautiful that you havent seen in forever in saiyan society,
she wished to see her son one last time , but she knows by the time she would reach him it would be too late, she saw picture that they had spent some money on to take together it was costly but it gave happiness and memories, she opened her scouter and sent the image, as she smiles she notices her husband was making dorky face in the photo,
she smiles and instantly the blast makes contact and everything disintegrates, nothing was left
(i feel i made it worse),
but due to something cosmic miracle the message did got sent even though there was nothing left, even though the blast shouldve have interfered with the message but it did got sent.
i hope in next life they get to live a better life than the life they lived in his era
