Seatbelt escape. White belt curriculum. Kama Jiu Jitsu. I’ve taken 11 privates from someone trained by Grandmaster Rickson and this is in the white belt curriculum. There’s also the “wrong side seatbelt escape” if the person behind forces you to the other side. Beautiful stuff. Rickson Gracie Jiu Jitsu is what I’ll be learning the rest of me life
@@biffdanielson2820 I'm not 100% positive, but if you see his belt promotion video, he kinda reluctantly accepts his ted belt from his brothers then talks about his belt system and says how one should be promoted.
Don’t get me wrong I love his advice for most of his teachings but how is that he able to step out?.. I feel like this isn’t a sufficient way to get out of back control. What if they have their legs locked in? What if they have their arms locked in from the neck?
Jiu Jitsu isn’t just one move. There’s a reason this is called fundamentals. It’s a basic foundation of a technique to start with and many more techniques and contingencies to deal with what opponent does. In my 25 years of training I have had countless times this worked and countless times it didn’t and has to rely on other escapes, adaptations and improvising of a blend of known escapes. Keep training.
If they have their legs locked in they should be getting ankle locked, big no no to cross ankles while back mounted. If arms are around the neck you hope it’s not tight enough to where as you roll and turn it’ll turn your head and make the choke less effective. To be clear, this is not a favorable position to get out of lol
Once you are shown and are guided through it with angles weight distribution and positioning it is not difficult. White belt curriculum. Kama Jiu Jitsu seatbelt escape.
Obviously there's situational movements and counters... but clearly this is simply just a 30 second preview, it's not an in depth detail of how to escape. That's why you would have to "enroll" to find out.
Hey I was just thinking about Edson L the advogado from Brasil. I got his shirt still (he knows what I'm talking abou). Tell someone to tell him hello. When I was getting super hated and a gang of death threats on Instagram before Mark Zuckerbucky kicked me afuera like Javier Milei...Edson dropped a comment about if he was my hommie. Of course he is, but I had to delete the comment because I didn't want people to attack him! These people I grew up with are venomous snakes.

Rickson's escape is based mostly on leverage and pressure. Leg: If you are heavy on your hip, you can pin their bottom leg down. Slowly flaten yourself (on your back) and their legs will be opened. If they lock their legs too tight or too strong, you can use your top leg to push it open (not show in this video but he does show it in his program) Arm: There is no choke if you look up or into them. The other arm is pin under your hand. You are safe.
Can you imagine the opportunity to learn directly from him?!! Absolute legend. Brilliant, Elite, World class.

Where's the red belt? Did it finally find out it wasn't worthy of Rickson?
He doesn't want to wear it.
He doesn't wear it because he wanted to be promoted with his belt system, not his brother's
@@bluetiger5064 you think?
