All of Ezekiel's ADR lines felt like if the intentionally bad dubbing in Kung Pow: Enter The Fist was played straight.
The Ben and Mary thing might've stemmed from something I heard recently about what likely was the Holland version of the story, where it was supposed to take more notes from Mark Millar's Trouble in their approach to Peter's parentage, but I guess they backpedaled on that heavily.

This is the first film in a long time I've heard called the "worst comic book movie ever made" that didn't sound hyperbolic.

What I'm curious about is how Ezekial was treated when the film was set in the 90s. So much of it hinges on using post 9/11 NSA spy tech as a magic conflict generator. How did Ezekial visualize and find the spider women in that incarnation of the film?

I’ll be the first person to say a nice thing about Madame Web. You don’t get a lot of all-women found family narratives, so that was nice to see. Shame literally everything else about it was so incompetently put together.

I just saw it and thought the movie was surprisingly decent. I'm desperately wanting to thumbs up a movie right now. It Doesn't leave wanting a Pepsi afterwards and it's not singing planet bad. It's slow,it's a horror movie and not at all a superhero film and yes it click baits that it is. Clearly Sony put money into Ghostbusters and not this film. Sorry for the paragraph.
Well at least the film has generated funny reviews without it being butchering of a francheise or wasted potential (Madame Web only appeared in 16 Spider-man issues or so)
Puzzles me why they didnt adapt for example Black Cat instead, of all the things they could money milk with, Madame Web?!
Several years ago Sony announced they were making a Black Cat and Silver Sable movie called "Silver and Black". At the time everyone laughed and thought it sounded like a terrible idea. Maybe it wouldn't have been good, but in hindsight, it makes a whole lot more sense than making a Madame Web movie, lol.
Id say The Flash is worse than Hell Boy 2019, Batman & Robin and Supergirl 84

Seriously, kill off Cavill Superman as an infant as "course correction", only to then reuse Zod as cheap member berries from the very same film they just told us was a misstake?
Wheres the proper The Flash villain? Since when is Zod a The Flash villain?
No proper The Flash action, they give to both batmen instead, boring baby shower scene in the intro while giving the entertaining action to Batfleck instead, this in the first ever solo The flash film
Also waste time on being Batman No Way Home, treating Batman like hes an important supporting character for The Flash solo comics and that the first ever solo The Flash film is the right film to celebrate the film legacy of Batman

Nope, Superman wasnt killed off and replaced by Supergirl in the comics version, they saw this as an opportunity to erase Man of Steel and Cavill from continuity and regardless if you think thats a good thing, why would you then want the cheap memeber berries of Zod crammed in there?
Zod wasnt even in the comicbook version, neither was Supergirl
@@rikardandersson5582 supergirl did everything in that movie that Superman was supposed to do. And since Zod’s motivation in MoS was getting kryptonian DNA, it logically fits with the timeline the movie franchise established. So is your problem that you didn’t like how they adapted flashpoint even though it logically still makes sense? Or is your problem they did it with supergirl?
The movie was fine. It's different. People fear what they don't understand or is different.
I thought into the spider-verse movie established that the SPIDERMAN or Spider people can be anyone or any creatures. Madame Web is just another STORY in the WEB of spider-verse. The spider siblings hasn't been through their UNCLE BEN/their TRAGIC moment yet.
If this leads to a ghost spider/spider qwen/spider woman movie IN THE FUTURE, I'm for it. For most, they will never be read for it🤷♂️🤷♀️

The irony is, of course, I could search far and wide for the most confusing, most foreign, films possible and I would still not be able to top Madame Web-a movie with an incoherent inner logic and feels like it comes from a different universe.
