As a newcomer/ aka white girl to sew in extensions I found myself here. I have MAD respect for you ladies that are out here killing all types of hairstyles, bruh… I had no idea how painful this is. This shit is hard af I can’t even think straight let alone smile, I’m grumpy as hell and it’s only been 6 hours 🫨 If these techniques don’t work, at this point I’m quite happy to have short hair 😂 💩💇🏻♀️

This video literally SAVED MY LIFE about a year ago when I got crochet braids for the first time. They were so tight I looked like I’d gotten a facelift😮! LOL! I still watch the video when I need a really good laugh or have to share it with another sister in need! Thank you for being a blessing on so many levels!

@@princessjay6220 honestly just take them out nothing helps. Maybe try to take out some hairs from the braid but Mt only hope was to wait it out. Starting cold water helps soothe it some but it's not really a solution.
I went to an African braided and I asked for knotless because those are less painful. Lawd this lady gave me was knotted braids and it hurts so much. I also asked for big sections because that is less painful but she did small sections which adds tension.

I swear this just happened to me. I went to an African lady for medium knotless and she did small micro like. They are so tight my scalp is on fire 🔥 I don't ever want this lady in my head again. Knotless shouldn't hurt.

YOU’RE A LIFESAVER FR! I Just got butterfly locs today and my scalp was throbbing and sore. I was in so much pain. But after step 3 I completely felt the tension easing up. I did my right side first and after tugging on a few braids and loosening them I felt a complete difference from the side I hadnt touched yet. I appreciate you so much for this. My friends told me to go get the braid spray but I couldn’t wait until tomorrow for the beauty store. I needed relief ASAP. THANK YOU MAAM!
OMG I also got butter fly locks but before I got the she detangled my hair so my scalp was already sore she never let the soreness ease she just jumped right into the butterfly locks and she braided so tight and rapper the hair around so tight it hurts so bad I'm about to watch this video😭

Ok so update: It’s day 7 and it’s no longer sore!!! It’s just itching BUT I greased my scalp really good and that eliminated a lot of that. The soreness was gone by day 5.

I got my locs braided in and today was my 3rd day and still felt like I was dying. I was contemplating taking them out and saw this video. Life changer! I only had a little leave-in conditioner so I reduced the water and added more oil. Instant relief after the microwave point. Now I can breathe!!!!!

Listen, I woke the 1st nite of having faux locs at 5:03 am. By 6am I finally found my peace after watching your video and I did these steps. Actually did ice water, massage, steam towel several times back-2-back!! You blessed me to live and keep this style... plus Tylenol 500mg took 2
I’ve never had braids before... I’m just some white girl that doesn’t know anything about hair texture or whatever.... but the conditioner, oil, water and steam is actually opening up the hair follicle and helping relieve that tension.... so it does in fact to do something! Your hair look amazing love❤️

100% solution. My child was just in sooooo much pain that I was contemplating chopping them braids. I followed 1 to 4 steps and she is off to bed. Thank u sooo much
Omg this worked, another tip guys rub out leave in conditioner on your scalp
The tips help. If your scalp is way too tender to do this I recommend taking an ibuprofen. Doing this will allow to to move the braids and massage your scalp better. I also held me braid at the tip and swirled the bread 5 to 10 times in each direction to loosen the braid a little. I also put a little bit of black castor oil in the really tender parts and along the edges once I was finished. I fell 90% better. Such a relief!
One word. ICEPACK. Especially if you have cornrows.

Just got my hair braided and close to the end I swear I was swarming in the chair like a little kid (in 30) ready to go, but she had to flip my hair back to boil the ends in hot water. I was into much pain. I did the hot towel the minute I got home, and oil my scalp tomorrow once my scalp has time to heal a little bit.

I got my soft locs yesterday & I can’t even go to sleep , I’ve even got back in the shower for steam but nothings seem to work , I don’t know if I should take them out our wait and see how long they will loosen up , but the pain I would give it a 10/10 I wouldn’t recommend
