I'm a fat boy, I felt pretty awful about myself today. I thought it wouldn't hurt to try your videos. Just in case. And I got dressed up, and tried out some of your tips, I took photos of myself that make me wanna cry. I look hot, I look confident, I look good! Thank you :)
This was the video I was searching for. I always avoided taking photos and videos becoz of my fear to not look cute and sexy. But here I am, trying to get out of that comfort zone. Thank you for this video 💕💕
same!! 2-3 years ago when i was around 15-16 i used to hate taking selfies and avoid taking photos of my at all, i would also avoid being in group photos because i used to be really insecure of how i looked but now i am trying to embrace my features more and i have noticed camera angles and lighting makes sooo much difference!!!
another super easy tip to make your photos look better is to always straighten out your horizon! it’s a major pet peeve of mine when someone posts an amazing photo but it’s crooked haha
@(taylor’s version) making sure the horizon is actually horizontal (???) (I'm sorry I suck at explanations) try using the grid and the horizon on your picture should be parallel to one of those horizontal grid lines
For anyone that has a samsung there is a grid mode and shutter shooting. for grid mode go to the settings and for a shutter shot drag down the shutter button and you can see how much pictures it has taken with a number replacing the button.
honestly so good to hear someone else rail against the family pictures where you're told to line up somewhere dingy and everyone looks awkward! folks are always say 'aww don't you like your picture taking?' & im like just not by you luv xx
I used to work in Westfields, White City I can confirm she is right that we’re not ugly we just don’t know how to take pictures. I used to see a lot of influencers from London freely walking around there and 8/10 they don’t look like their pictures. Your plus size influencer isn’t that “big”, your favourite bad b influencer doesn’t look that snatched in real life, it’s just edits and filler from time to time and your favourite bbl model tbh looks a little weird in real life, and I say that because the bodily portions do not match their body frame. Try and get influences from real-life experiences and real people, travel, met new people, learn your angles etc and view people on Instagram with a pinch of salt.
Do you have any videos that can help us choose outfits that fit us the most so we won't look awkward in our pictures? This is very, very helpful! I just need to have the confidence.
Hey Bria I am just starting out on RUclips (legit only 24hrs ago!) and your videos appeared out of nowhere you are actually hilarious, and this is a really helpful video! thanks Bria is given me the boost of confidence from "should i do this career??" and "will i be ok??"... tooooo "I can do this!!" and people like you make me realize just being myself is just fine! haha! xx thank you you wonderful human being!!
People ask me all the time why I don’t take pictures I’m so pretty and it’s simply because everytime I do try they never look right so it made me scared to even ever take a picture but I think I’m going to have to start doing it myself with a tripod
omg I lovelovelove the poses and the way you radiate confidence & self love! and you explain the poses in such a fun & lighthearted manner so it really feels playful and not so scary at all even when I think of doing it in public, like I'm just playing around ppl, move on
I’m excited for this I got a camera and a tripod for it that hooks up to your phone and takes pics or you can take remote pics by looking at your phone and seeing where you need to be perfectly on the main camera and then when your ready you tap the button on your phone and it takes the pic on the main camera and I just want to improve my pics thus why I’m here learning 😂😊💙thanks for the video!
Thank you for explaining the whole light/window concept to those of us over 30. (41 here🙋🏾♀️). And yes I took several pictures last week all into the widow. 🙋🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ thank you for clarifying...lol won't happen again. (wish we had all this knowledge/technology and platforms growing up!).. 🙄🙂...anyway I digress! THank you again for this Great video 🙂🥰 I look forward to taking better photos now! 🥰🥰💕
Hey❤! I've been following you for a bit! Still binge watching! I'm 50yrs old, sorry not sorry. But, I swear you just gave a whole master class on photography!! Thank you so much!❤
u guys when i saw it i was so stunned 😂 i kept thinking omgggg the dog has braids!!!! and then the rational side of my brain took over and i realized they were her braids and not the doggo's 😂❤️
In art, I too learned about the grid and have always had it on, on my iPhone. I can’t use any phone camera without it… I sometimes try to imagine the grid if I’m using someone else’s phone
For some reason I'm thought this video was going to be overwhemingly, but I loved it. Thanks for the head space tip, I think I'll definitely incorporate that. I'll check out your posing 101 video next, but I found that something that helped me immensely is saving posing shorts on pinterest. So sometimes when I want to take a photo, I'll watch like 2 or 3 shots and work with that
i needed this lol its so crazy i get so much traction and compliments in real life but online its ehhh … im def taking crusty pics lol i can’t wait to take a good one that shows my true TRUE beauty
I love me some boring backgrounds lol because it focuses on the outfit I think that is great for girls trying to get into fashion , u don't have to be at the beach or anywhere fancy wancy just find some nice areas around golden hour in your town or city . I think golden hour creates a beautiful lighting to photos naturally and I find I do less editing .. I also love how your talking to me like im in a photography class 😭❤😂 thank you !!
Actually in my normal day life, i see many people taking their pics and posting it on social media. And they look good even after a one click, and everytime this makes my confidence very low..... And now i want to show my hidden side to everyone....but as a teen it will be somehow a bit difficult for me, but after watching this, my confidence may increase..
STEP 1 : BE PRETTY STEP 2 : DRESS AESTHETICALLY PLEASING STEP 3: HAVE GOOD CAMERA ANGLES STEP 4: MAKE YOUR CAPTIONS STAND OUT this is really how you grow your “instagram” in almost all Years ;)
Just seeing this video and it is very helpful & clear. Proud of u 👍🏼 sis! I don’t follow people before a vid finishes & see a few more other posts but def followed u right away! ❤❤❤ thanks for ur advice/tutorial even tho this is frm 2 yrs ago! 😅
Thank you very much for your video. I feel like I took pretty good photos myself for the first time in years! The lighting and the moving while taking photos helped a LOT. As well as your editing tips. I don't use social media BUT want to take good photos so I was not clued in to a lot of the tips u shared.
obsessed with your editing techniques, and quality and yes `I'm binging but I probably haven't come across the content that goes into it.. pls advise on the editing software you use...
Glad I stumbled on your channel. Love your videos and the relatability me. I swear all my pics suck..lol! thanks for the tips and look forward to looking at other videos you have made.
Just found your channel today. Omg..thank you for these tips. I love you Bria! I am an officiant. I only have one chance to take pictures of the bride and groom and myself. I have an android phone and I was able to turn on the grid feature. Thanks again. Sending you love from Atlanta!
This is super helpful 🤍 I am for sure going to watch the how to pose video after this because I find it really hard when it comes to posing without looking awkward

AWWWW😭
i love that for you!!
aww ,I love you :)
Awee that’s so sweet
That so cute, I’m glad it helped you!❤
I record myself and screenshot the parts I like 🤣🤦🏽♀️
so smart tho!!
That doesn’t work for me much it’s hard to get a clear picture that’s not blurry from movement
@@Angelajasmiine that’s why u gotta freeze for a couple seconds in the pose u think looks best
I do too! That’s how I get ALLLLL my good photos because I’ve realized I’m videogenic and not photogenic 😂😂😂😂
All the time😂
This was the video I was searching for. I always avoided taking photos and videos becoz of my fear to not look cute and sexy. But here I am, trying to get out of that comfort zone. Thank you for this video 💕💕

Same ugh pictures 🫣
check my posing videos as well :)
I *love* your opening statement. So many of us are painfully shy about taking pictures due to that belief. Thank you for your tips.
another super easy tip to make your photos look better is to always straighten out your horizon! it’s a major pet peeve of mine when someone posts an amazing photo but it’s crooked haha
THIS!!
Irks my sole. Literally the easiest thing to fix

My mom is almost in her 40s (39 y/o) she takes the BEST and I mean INCREDIBLE photos. You would be shook.

I'm here after taking like 50 pics n only liking 3 ... I suck at posing and this was a huge help 🙂 thank you!
How’s the improvement now ? ❤
thanks for sharing secrets! I really had the idea that influencers take a few pictures and they’re all perfect 😭
🤯🤯🤯 Nah the way u just dropped gems like this in under 20 minutes is insane 🔥🔥
@8:28 also it’s the LINES. You also captured yourself in a frame within a frame… and you captured movement. I agree. Great photo!
FINALLY. I have been looking for a video like this for a long time and by a black girl! Thank you!!
Do you have any videos that can help us choose outfits that fit us the most so we won't look awkward in our pictures? This is very, very helpful! I just need to have the confidence.
The grid feature was an eye-opening tip for me.

THAT intro is all I needed. have a good day😂❤
I wish she would explain where to locate those arrows to avoid being way too cropped in. I have an iPhone 13 pro and it isn’t on my screen
I have an XR and it isn’t on mine either
I have a normal iPhone 13, and the arrows only show up when you’re in the front facing camera (you have to be in Photo mode, not Portrait mode!)
Ooh I have a 12 maybe someone can help that has a 13!
Thank you very much for your video. I feel like I took pretty good photos myself for the first time in years! The lighting and the moving while taking photos helped a LOT.
